Thank you for always being so clear in your videos. I honestly I find the other artists videos on painting not approachable. Every video you make actually makes the techniques look possible and not some process where I would need to spend hours on one figure, I can actually paint an army in a reasonable time with your methods. I do hope you continue providing us with these wonderful lessons in the future.
Thank you very much, comments like this one assure me that eventhough english is not my first language, Im still able to convey propper and useful explanations, so once again thank you
More good stuff; I was looking to learn techniques for gore-spatter, and incidentally, you deliver again. I should check your backlog to see if you have additional blood techniques.
love this channel. could you do some grimdark terrain at some point? ( maybe a WH fortified manor for example) What color did you stipple over the gold?
Gold was Vallejo model color "Old gold " for the base and Vallejo metal color "Gold" for the rest. Terrain wise I planned to do some forests for when Wood elves release for the old world, and i still have the Skaventide terrain to make a terrain painting video on, so expect that soon
You're a daredevil! I was wondering if I would dare to apply oil washes multiple times to the same model, without any retouch varnish in-between, and apparently I can! Dont you notice the previous oil paint layer is reactivated? Did you cure the paint with any light/heat exposure before the second oil wash layer? Tip: Alizarin Crimson oil paint make the best blood.
How much time should there be between the 2 oil washes? (ie if you do them close to each other, won't you risk removing too much of the first oil layer?)
wait i dint know oil washes wer meant to strip the paint, in almost every tutorial i watched people always top coat before oilwash to prevent paint stripping
Any aspiring painter (such as myself) is lucky to discover your channel. Your methods are explained so well and are easy to follow.
Thank you Tyler, Im glad that english not been my first language, isnt a barrier in me sharing what ive learned over the years

@@resourcefulminiatures awesome man!
Awesome video!
thank you very much
Thank you. Is this a 75mm model?
its 32mm scale, but 75mm tall
Doesnt the mineral spirits bleed all the oil paints together? Like putting th black+green+brown wash over it take away from the blue and etc?
If you are talking about the 2nd wash affecting the 1st, it doesnt after it has dried
Tip: Alizarin Crimson oil paint make the best blood.
didnt reactivate at all, just left it dry overnight at my desk, no extra heat or anything of the sort
How much time should there be between the 2 oil washes? (ie if you do them close to each other, won't you risk removing too much of the first oil layer?)
since we are working with so little paint, 8 hours should be enough, to be sure(since mixis will vary) leaving them overnight its the safest bet
wait i dint know oil washes wer meant to strip the paint, in almost every tutorial i watched people always top coat before oilwash to prevent paint stripping
They dont, if you are not gentle paint will get stripped by scratching motion, if you are gentle theres no need to protect the acrylics
🫀🫀
tired of grimdark this and grimdark that, esp. when the result is ok but nothing exceptional. Try to be original for a change.
