    I was a little skeptical, but the highlights and the sponge scratching brought it all together and DANG it looks good!!

    I did not know that about the scratch effect with 'drybrushing with a sponge' that's super useful!

    I just bought my first Warcry warband. Can't wait to rust and scratch up their weapons using your method. It looks awesome!

    good video. and I like the final result, the metallic look is preserved and the rust is displayed. and most importantly, I can repeat this if I need rust on the figures

      thank you very much, i did have to do a second pass of metallics to showcase the sponge technique so it enede up been a bit too much for my liking 😅

    Looks great, will give this a go. I have been using the AK pencils, dip them in water a use a brush to apply. They leave a gritty texture when they dry and can build the intensity gradually letting the previous dry.

    Maybe an stupid question but what kind of sponge is that? Ive trying to do similar effect but mine paints too much, even after dropping almost all paint on a surface

    • @resourcefulminiatures
      @resourcefulminiatures  Месяц назад

      i got it from packing, mybe your paint is tood diluted and some gets trapped deep in the sponge?

      @VikkeDD Месяц назад

      @@resourcefulminiatures It's like it's very porous, maybe I should try a metallic or more rigid one?

    • @resourcefulminiatures
      @resourcefulminiatures  Месяц назад

      @@VikkeDD maybe sand the sponge to break it up? to make sure the paint is not the problem try doing the same with an old brush with split bristles if you have one
