Thanks Michelle, Honestly, my life is up and down, but thats closer to "normal' - whatever they may be - than the consistent overwhelming state it was. I kinda get sad at times my life is like this, and I long for the days before it was, but at the same time, I've learnt so much about myself, about setting boundaries and made some really good choices these last years that Im proud of. So I try to accept and remain positive. Living alone I understand can really be difficult. A good friend of mind really struggles. But what Ive found is having those important people (friends) who really understand your situation and are there for you, really helps. Even if just a call to listen to me. I do hope you have a network who can also be there for you,. Hugs, Gregg

Hi, ... i lost my career job after decades.... i lost it. Loosing my job, structure, purpose, social interaction, identity, coworkers and friends..!
Im alone, so... the impact is too much for me. I had a panic attack, though i died. Im in bad shape now, because of anxiety, insomnia.... and horrible depression. Depression takes everything, no desire to do anything, go anywhere... loss of interests in activities and life. Im talking to 988 counselors, and a psychologist. Im like you.. afraid of medications,.. so im struggling very hard.. im hurting bad... pls🙏, im in a dark scary time

I have watched many anxiety and depression videos and i can say your symptoms are really close to my own. I wake up so anxious about the day. I have to make myself eat whether it be Jello, applesauce or crackers. Then My stomach is upset and my food goes right through me. Don’t mean to be gross. I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety for many years. I’m 53 years old. But, it has gotten worse since COVID. I was so miserable at a job that I had worked at for 10 years and I just walked in and quit. That was February 2021. And I’m on my 5th job since. My doctor has changed my medicines a couple of times and now he has referred me to a counselor. Hopefully I can get some help. Two of my main symptoms that I struggle with is not having enough money to pay my bills and death. I have many more symptoms but those are the worst.

Hi Cherry, I’m really sorry to hear you have been struggling for so long. I can’t imagine how the continue changing of jobs is not helping with your recovery. I do hope your doctor is able to help find the right meds to stabilise you. The consistent fear of death (see my video on this) and financial worries I know well. But I highly recommend therapy. I don’t think I would have manage trying to cope on my own with therapy. Stay intouch and let us know how you get on with counselling. Wishing you the best. Thanks for sharing.

Night time/early morning is the worst for me. Not sure why. It's so bad.

Hi thanks for watching and sharing. And apologies my late reply. I've been off line for awhile. I really found that also. Night time because I was trying to process so much and mornings because my mind was so activity during the night I slept bad or my mind just didn't know what to do with all the information. I did my best to reduce taking in any information. Particularly watching TV , the news or reading any heavy books. I look for activities that let information out of my head rather than taking information in. Like creative hobbies. Wishing you a healthy recovery. Stay intouch.

Hi Gregg. I commented on your other video just earlier, but I would really like some advice fo rhow to deal with the burnout because I had one about 16 months ago and I still have to work quite hard so I am just waiting this out and hoping that like all things I can just heal. Thanks

Hi John, sorry for the delay in coming back to you. Ive just seen your other message. I would of course like to talk with you and help any way possible through my understanding and experiences. I think the experience of Burn-Out is very different for each person. It would be great to understand what you have gone through better. As I discovered my burn-out was just a consequence of not only crazy hard work, long hours etc, but also my behaviours towards work. My recovery has been focus on rediscovering myself and understanding my behaviours. I have your direct contact details on your other comment. I will message you direct. Wishing you well mate.

Apologies my late reply. I hope by now you have managed to get to the core of the issue your son is facing. I’m not a train professional so the only advice I can offer is to seek a therapist to speak with him. I know from my experience, when I was younger I also stopped eating and gave any kind of excuse to people not to address the problem. The reason why, is I didn’t understand or know how to express myself or the depression I was going through. It was many years later and repeatedly going through these unhealthy cycles that a therapist was finally able to help me understand. I wish you success for your sons health.
