I just wanted to thank you for this beautiful pattern! I am working on my 3rd set for my best friend since last year about this time. She asked me to make 6 Christmas green ones for her dinner table. I added 3 increase rows before the border row to make it full size. Earlier this year I made her 6 off white ones for daily use and now I'm working on 4 red ones for her Christmas breakfast table. She puts a slightly larger red placemat under the green ones for Christmas then a print napkin in a holder in the center of the dinner plate. It's stunning. Thank you for allowing me to use your pattern to make a very deserving friend happy!💖

Hi Bing, thank you so much for watching :) You can try making this pattern with a larger hook to get a bigger placemat, that way you don't have to worry about extra math. Try a 5.5 or a 6.0 mm hook and the cotton yarn and it will be larger :)

My bff asked for 6 holly green placemats for next Christmas. We found this pattern and it just spoke to us! Im on my 6th one and its not even July!!! However.....the first one I made was way too small for a dinner placemat. I frogged it twice and went down to an F hook before I had it looking the way i wanted it to look. Oh, and added 3 rounds. I absolutely love them! Thank you for your hard work in creating this beautiful placemat!

Thank you for making this pattern available!! I've been looking for a pattern for a mat for 4 tiny floating shelves I've had forever and the tiny oval doilies I had fell apart. I tried a couple other patterns that didn't work out.
Doing the first 3 rows of this pattern than doing the last 2 lacey rows fit the shelves perfectly! ❤
I only changed the last row to 2 sc, 3 ch, 1 sc in the back of the base of the sc before the chain, than the 2nd one the same hole space. It seemed to make the point more prominent. Beautiful pattern. Thanks again!!

Thank you for this tutorial. I found by using the 4.25 mm hook mine work wasn't too tight, but the finished height wasn't going to fit my plates, so I continued two more rows of DC without increasing and then another increase row of 2dc and then 1dc in the next few 4 stitches and it was about right. I might even add one more increase row with 2 DC and a DC in 5 stitches when I make them again. Going to do the coaster now. Thanks again!

Hey Jayda! Instead if doing a chain3 for each first stitch in the row, i tried chaining 1 and 1 double crochet. The chain 1 doesn't show in between the pattern and looks more chunkier. I tried this in Acrylic yarn. Comes out really well. Thanks Jayda!

Jayda you’re the best. You’re the best crotchet teacher on line. I am such a big fan. God bless. Jayda, I’ve made 2 shawls, 2 hats and 1 beanie already with your tutorials. You’ve made countless people so happy. God bless you. Your sweet soothing voice also helps following you all the way. This table mat gave me a hard time though with the count of the stitches, so I’m going to do it again with a bigger needle so I van follow the stitch count a little better. Thank you again.

Hi Farida! We're so happy to know you're enjoying our show :) This is definitely one of those patterns that you want to count as you go! Remember too because we're working in the round, there is an extra or "false" stitch (at the base of the ch-3 that begins a row), don't be fooled by it ;)

Jayda InStitches thank you so much for your reply. I’ve made shawls with your instructions, beanies with your instructions. You are the best !!! This pattern is a little troublesome for me. Have had to rip entire rows twice cos the stitches just don’t add up for me.

Thank you for another great tutorial. I love how it turned out but I used a smaller yarn and it's not as big as I like so I will make another one with thicker yarn.
