A wise man once said….”WAH. WAHHH. WALUIGI.” I’ve never understood exactly what those words mean, but I believe I speak for everyone when I say that they’ll never leave my heart regardless. Waluigi, everyone-he’s the running-joke character of the Mario franchise, and by extension one of the most genuinely beloved characters therein. But despite how much love and attention Waluigi gets in the fandom, you gotta wonder-is that a reflection of who he really is in the franchise, or is he just that one side character everyone really likes for some reason?

I feel like Waluigi is the biggest character in the “Player 2 Overshadow”. Luigi has been overshadowed by Mario for so long and characters who are more or less associated with him have also been overshadowed.
Daisy gets overshadowed by Peach.
Waluigi gets overshadowed by Wario.

Its an idiotic self destructive trend. What? Are they afraid the current 2nd/ bi characters will be more popular?? Its so denseheaded! Dosent matter whos more popular! Nintendo will siphon cash no matter if its Waluigi, Wario, Mario or Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Isabel etc
However Luigi still got his own games, that wouldn't be a problem for him. What Waluigi lacks is his own game series, too.
The even more tragic thing regarding your mainline game comment of waluigi and Wario helping out, I heard back in the 2010s and sometimes on the wiki that at some point Wario and waluigi were originally considered and even planned to be playable 3rd and 4th character in New super Mario bros wii but changed it at the last minute which I assume due to time constraints for making new animations or just because of waluigis hit box with how tall he is.
Why the hell would they want to help when don't care about nobody nor do they like the mario bros or there friends. That like mario appearing in Wario games. Even in the intro it says mario and friends were invited. Wario was not invited cause he a villain and waluigi is a filler spinoff character. Mainline and spinoff games are not the same. There a reason why Wario has his own game series. Just stop.
@@INFERNO95 Same reason Wario helped in 64 DS , Bowser was a threat to him and the Mario Bros plus Wario himself stopped beign a villain when he got his own Games
@@INFERNO95 The next time you end up thinking that Wario would never help them because hes "evil" look back on moments in games where villains work together with the heroes and why they do so because its obvious you dont know how Wario behaves. (example Eggman working with Sonic or Bowser cooperating with Mario in the rpgs because of a bigger threat) And besides Mario 64 DS involved Wario cooperating with him because Bowser simply was a bigger threat which would simply be the case in most Mainline Mario games. Otherwise he'd be motivated by greed and help if he was getting something out of it or in the case of taking bowser's resources from taking him down.
And besides Wario stopped being let alone being treated as a villain after Mario Land 2 and Wario Land 3 and was more of a chaotic neutral anti hero. As for Waluigi, the fact that he's a filler spinoff character hasn't stopped Nintendo from using other filler characters for multiplayer purposes in games like Rosalina.
Theres so tame weak arse excuses around, especially if they teasingly hinted/ promised, had character assets 99% done, so clooose and just " Nah, much more satisfying to give the wanting cashbag fans the 🖕 for our dopamine pleasure " Its like frigging bad releationship analogue. They KNOW we want certain things from their games and they KNOW it will create good will and long term profit but choose to be unhinged sadistic douchebags. 😡

I do think I'm fine with no Wario and Waluigi in Mario mainline since they don't have a proper reason to save Peach or other kingdoms from Bowser. So Wario and Waluigi would either be Mario's rivals or go on their own adventures in other games.
Waluigis biggest tragedies is how he wasn't invited to smash.
He is in smash.

So both Toadette and Waluigi were only created at first as a partner for another character. Yet Nintendo gave more attention to one character than the other. For one even appearing in a mainline Mario game.

I'd Love Waluigi to form his own Legion of Doom, with other underrated Video Game Villains who never made it into Smash. Like Black Shadow, Skull Kid, Mother Brain, Andross, Captain Syrup, and even the Ghosts from Pac-Man. But of course, that will depend on which villains DO get invites to the next game.

Waluigi is like the one character barely makes any appereance.
He been in over 70 games.
Imagine if they dropped him from Mario Party and restricted him to his own space where it is essentially a “middle ground” of sorts between Bowser and Donkey Kong.
I never expect Waluigi to escape his series. Daisy gets into things to generically increase female representatives and no other real reason, Waluigi would love to escape spin off hell.
I guess the main thing is Wario and Waluigi are antagonistic, but having them be bosses in a mainline title probably would never happen. What antagonistic role could they play without being bosses?
I really felt bad for waluigi for not being in smash bros ultimate.

I also hope to see the Wario Bros in the next Mario movie, with Waluigi playing a major role, Waluigi was the main villain in DDR Mario Mix, although not the final boss, you have to admit he had the best song in the game!

I grew up with SNES. But as a current PC/ XB boi. I want to return to Nintendo games. BUT like how big N treats their characters, theres some unhinged, possible incohesive spiteful, gatekeeping decicions Nintendo does. Like:1 not putting Waluigi in most recent games 2: Not having Link be LEFT handend in games with more mature aesthetics and graphics like BotW etc 3: Nintendo inept to include ALL the main Yoshi colors if just pallette swaps and even link each color to UNIQUE abilities along with general universal ones like shapeshift, flutter jump, throw eggs, choose yo spit enemies or swallow them to get eggs 4: Not expanding upons Bowsers relstives like blue brother, parents, sisters etc?? 5: No orange spotted Toads?? And light blue ( Sky ) Toads?
Why always remove aspects be it colored Yoshis of certain colors or give the🖕to Links tradition to left handed legacy in mature looking games when they can add and refine and give us OPTIONs to choose in setting menus from get-go, story/ side-quest/ progression unlocks etc?

Waluigi is favourite, why he isn't in Smash, because they didn't care. Sora Ruined it and I Remember the time when Waluigi was not in Mario Kart 7 and also the Waluigi Rumors from Super Mario 64 DS (I grew Up with SM64 DS And I Didn't unlocked Waluigi)

don't feel bad for waluigi for not getting into ultimate as there are way better characters to pick over him(or that overrated doll geno.)/fans got really pushy with it that it felt deserved he missed out and compared to princess daisy's breakout(who deserves it more for having more than peach even before then.) still feels like spinoff fodder with how he got one up by bowser in ddr,luigi doesn't take him that seriously for the rival aspect and hasn't even made a cameo in the wario games(where even wario's gang have better relationships with him compared to just being wario's partner.).
but do love him in mario party 3(where like with daisy smacking him into orbit,had waluigi beating up bowser and winning.),strikers with that chop/that flamboyant enthusiasm in general and has a lovably goofy dynamic with wario in the sports games(especially power tennis & toadstool tour/aces actually showing him helping wario hunt for treasure.:3) that i'd love to see him more in the wario games(for wonder wario or rosalina's more likely.) like his interactions with mona/jimmy t or in the land series as a partner for wario(if captain syrup returned as an antagonist whose pretty much walpeachy,be funny seeing waluigi have a comical crush on her.) alongside the warioware crew.

This video is full of so much lies and misinformation. The comic is not Canon and Nintendo couldn't careless what happens in those comics. Waluigi was not made by Nintendo, cameltoe made him to be Wario partner for tennis. Mainline games are not the same as spinoff games. Villain are not playable in mainline games. If that was the case then Bowser would be playable. It even states in the intro mario along whit friends were invited. Waluigi is nobody friend and if Wario not in the game then waluigi has no chance in hell. Daisy in the game cause she friends whit the Mario brothers and peach. She also more popular then waluigi too. Just because she in the game don't mean he should be in it too.
