It makes no sense as to why he isn’t in the game no matter which way you put in. They put in like 10 Fire Emblem players even more than the Mario series, they even put a whole playable model for him. Who knows why

imagine waluigi being your ghost hunting teammate but he ends up being more of a hindarance because of several aspects of waluigis characters and half way through waluigi becomes your full on rival and then joins back to your team near the end of the game after you beat him

I think Nintendo was netrual on Waluigi only using him when Wario was in a spin off game but as Waluigis fanbase grew bigger and demand for him became more rabid Nintendo began to hate Waluigi only use him just to spite his fans.
That is somewhat what I believe too, I do believe that the rise in his popularity was unexpected but instead of capitalizing on it they stuck with their guns and went with the original plan for him and that just being an occasional sports and spin on character
While I’ll admit that having a Waluigi game would be cool (I would also love a Daisy game, a Rosalina game, a Pauline game, and even another Yoshi game with Birdo as Player 2), what I would also actually like to imagine is another Mario game with Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Toad as playable characters while have Wario, Waluigi, Captain Syrup and Nabbit as main antagonists to them like they act as counterparts. Plus Princess Daisy as an unlockable character and Bowser as a secret final boss. That could lead to a new twist and a new direction for me. Hope you get where I’m coming from.
I agree, the thing about Mario is that has a million things they can do with they amount of characters they have as well as the auroa around them but they always choose the same thing every game whether it’s Mario saving peach from bowser or a wario ware and sports spin off. They can do so much more. The main reason I focus on Waluigi is because he’s never been in mainline game ever which even Daisy has. Speaking of Daisy, new video coming soon

What I would also love is a new Wario Land game with Wario, Waluigi, Captain Syrup and Nabbit as playable characters with Princess Shokora and Queen Merelda as supporting characters, Rudy the Clown and the Shake King as main villains, and maybe even Mona from Warioware as an unlockable character. If Nintendo hates him so much, why putting him in the spin off games ? Why not just using him for Mario Tennis and never using him again ? I mean, he has his own map in Mario Kart and his own mini game in Jamboree, so why giving him all that importance if Nintendo hates him ? I think it is because Waluigi was never featured in main line Super Mario unlike most Mario including Daisy were featured in a main line Mario game (Daisy made her first appearance in Super Mario Land where she was the one who needed to be rescued instead of Peach)
I don't think they hate Waluigi, I just don't think they get what fans see in him, and might simply believe he hasn't "earned it" yet. And to be fair he really *hasn't* earned much of a place in the franchise, fan favorite status aside. Mario, obviously, is the main character. Luigi might've started as a palette swap, but he was there from the very beginning, before the Bros were even Super, and before Nintendo had any idea what a landmark series they were beginning. Bowser is the ever-present antagonist, Wario was basically his handheld counterpart for a time, and Peach... well, she's technically the focal point of whatever "story" the games can be said to have! Even someone like Rosalina, she *still* played a major role in one of the best-regarded main titles, even if she is relatively recent and hasn't made much impact going forward. As for Daisy... well yeah. She's an echo fighter. As far as Nintendo is concerned, Waluigi is a skin from a multiplayer tennis spinoff. He's a good design for sure, worth reusing here and there, but a bunch of weird Americans in their mid twenties to early thirties having some bizarre half-ironic fixation on him because he's *"so relatable!"* probably doesn't concern Miyamoto much.
I agree 100% my only thing is that the potential he and other players could bring if they are given the spotlight. Rosalina for example was a brand new character and because of the huge games they gave her and her character she became way more important and interesting. Why not do the same for waluigi, even Daisy? The formula is right there they have the characters, the personality and the features now they just need to capitalize on it
@@AccursedHawk At that point it just kind of comes down to a "why? why not? but why? but why not?" sort of argument, and those aren't the sorts of things that're going to motivate a AAA company to start handing out spinoffs and guaranteed roster positions. Why not Waluigi or Daisy? I don't know, why not Birdo? Why not Funky Kong? Why not Cranky Kong? Why not King Boo? Why not E Gadd? Why not Petey Piranha? For that matter, why not a Zelda game focused on Beedle, or a Star Fox game about Krystal, or a Metroid game where you play as Ridley? Nintendo is a very "core"-focused studio that doesn't care much about worldbuilding or universe expanding, and they're probably never going to wanna set the precedent of "well this character's popular, so let's focus on him for a while." Would it be cool if they *did* care about those things? Sure, but that's not really their brand. Even exceptions I already mentioned like Rosalina, I mean, she's not *that* much better off than Waluigi. Aside from showing up in a couple Smash entries and being unlockable with minimal fanfare as a secret character in 3D World, she doesn't really appear that much more often than him.
That why Nintendo does want Waluigi featuring in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. I mean why Nintendo hate him. I like Waluigi and Nintendo create that character in first place.

Unless Wario shows in a main line game, Waluigi won't be involved. He isn't even involved in the Wareware games, making him less likely to evolve. I think they would of loved to put him playable since they heard how many fans wanted him as a dlc character. But he was already programmed as a assist trophy character. First it would be odd and unfair to all the other assist trophy characters that he would be the one to just be reprogrammed to be playable. Second I don't know if you could even reprogram the game to make him playable since he's already a assist trophy, but I bet they could find a way. I like Waluigi but I rather have him have his own game/franchise but I think Nintendo doesn't know how to write a waluigi based game because he's kind of a complicated character other than to be the wing man of Wario and the evil version of Luigi. I guess you could make his games similar to Wario but I don't think Nintendo would want his games to be nock offs of Wario games. I would agree with that, I do believe though that they just never had any huge interest in putting him in smash, even though he was an assist trophy I believe they could have easily put him in if they wanted to. But regardless I believe his own game would be something really interesting. They would just need to give him an identity what does he represent? Wario is greedy and nasty, Waluigi we have no idea. @@AccursedHawk There’s really only a couple things we know about Waluigi. He’s a romance guy, judging by his varies refrences to roses and the classic rose mouth bite. And that he has a massive amount of self-pity. According to the wiki, Charles Martinet has stated “Waluigi feels that good things are always happening to others and not to him, causing him great frustration. Martinet considers his self-pity to be "the cornerstone of Waluigi's character", such as how he constantly points out his own disadvantages and is quick to attribute his losses to his opponents cheating”

imagine the next smash title has a sub space emissary like game mode but the story is waluigi got mad at everyone for always getting in smash instead of him so he begins to think the votes are rigged so eventually he obtains a power source (i don't know maybe like power starts or shine sprites or heck maybe even something different completely) and he then starts to take over the world so he can finally be in smash and the story ends in a battle where mario defeats waluigi and after waluigi explains how he has always been left out even from the begining the story ends with mario handing waluigi a invitation and then the screen cuts to black *you can now play as waluigi*
That would be excellent. Waluigi, and bring back Subspace Emissary (not another board game thing). These are not exactly the same, but there's a trilogy of rap videos about Waluigi fighting everyone and hopefully getting into SSB eventually.

I don't think Nintendo hates him per say (considering they couldve easily discontinued him after his first appearance), i think its more so just they think he won't sell like any of the other characters. But I think its total BS tho that he at least hasnt shown up in a MainLine Mario game at the bare minimum though (aside from the easter eggs that Nintendo thinks will satisfy the fans). Hopefully, the day for our dude comes!

The fact that Waluigi was never in Smash is still crazy to me. Also the fact that he wasn’t in Mario Kart 7 even though he was in prior Mario Kart titles. I think getting his own spin-off might be a bit of a stretch, but I would love to see him be a villain in maybe a mainline Mario game. Wario and Waluigi as a villain in a mainline Mario game could lead to a much more interesting story and it would be a breath of fresh air from the typical bowser kidnapping Peach story.
That's a very good point seeing him as a villian like they do with Bowser and how they used to do with Wario would be awesome even in the next Luigi's mansion game why not make him the villian. But yeah i think Nintendo is gonna stick with the whole Bowser Peach and Mario saga as long as they can unfortunately. If only they would just show Waluigi some love
There are quite many unused NIntendo game characters and Waluigi isn't the only one. Smash roster cannot give everyone a chance after all. Also Waluigi already faird to be in not just Mario Kart 7 but Odyssey, 3D World and Origami King. It actally makes sense for Waluigi to be absent from Smash since Waluigi isn't as present as Mario or Peach.

Perhaps, I think they actually hated him, but can’t ignore him and forget about him because of the internet’s love and obsession with him. And also to me, while Waluigi is fine to me, some fan comics makes him look like a looney brat who’s so extremely desperate to be in Smash, he’ll literally do everything to do it.
I’m starting to think Nintendo can’t come up with a good story for a Waluigi game. If they refuse to give him his own game, why not replace him in future spin off games with characters from the Wario ware once for Wario like Jimmy, Orbalon, 9-volt, or someone else. I wanna throw my hat into this ring because it's so interesting to think about. A theory I got is because maybe due to Camelot making Waluigi, Nintendo doesn't quite know how to "flesh" him out so to say. I did originally lean on, "unwanted child" or so with this but I kinda feel the former more considering other non-Nintendo made characters for them that they still use (like ones by Retro Games for example). Like Waluigi is a walking meme and thus outside of his mischievous and cheating nature, do you wanna give him more depth like a pond (similar to Bowser Jr) or just leave him as a puddle similar to Mario, so people can connect with him better? Now I'm thinking to myself that Nintendo is possibly indecisive here, with some wanting to try and others not for reasons. "Will is attract controversy like Super Princess Peach? Will this sell okay like the Yoshi games? Or will is do bad like Wario Land: Shake It?" Also, another theory I got on why Waluigi isn't playable in Smash is because he wasn't in a mainline Mario game (and still isn't). Sure DK and Yoshi got their own branches but did appear in a mainline Mario game, and/or are a iconic character, iconic enough to be brought into Smash (also DK's grandpa was the OG with the Pauline incident and DK is just chill with Mario nowadays, usually). Now I'm not saying Waluigi isn't iconic, but he was specifically made to be in Luigi's own shadow, which is a huge burn in of itself with how much Luigi got treated like a butt monkey for years (and still kinda is). In contrast to Daisy [note: haven't seen your video yet so bare with me here], Daisy appeared in 1 mainline Mario game, Super Mario Land and while she was a copy of Peach she grew into her own character away from Peach herself. [Note #2: I forget if Super Mario Run is another mainline game but if it is or you count it as such, make that 2 mainline games Daisy has over Waluigi]. I feel like in Daisy's case beyond touching mainline at least once, she was lucky enough to be thrown a bone to be a echo fighter. Only time will tell if Waluigi would have a similar case. One more thing, besides that, I won't be surprised if Waluigi doesn't get much of anything for sometime due to the Smash fandumb being idiots about him not being playable in Ultimate. If Nintendo try to keep Waluigi and sells his costumes in Mario Kart Tour, they should just give him better treat. If they don't want him, they could had simply kicked him out of Mario games, simple as that. I do think Nintendo owe Waluigi a good treat as a main character.
Daisy & Mario have a Game: it's Super Mario Land - the original game for the Nintendo GameBoy, oh and, even Rosalina was in SMG 1 & 2 + Mario And Luigi (you get the picture/you get what I am saying.), including Pauline being in Mario Vs. DonkeyKong / Donkey Kong 1, 2, & 3 (sort of in Donkey Kong 2 & 3)& also SM3DLand, SM3DWorld, SM3DWorrld + Bowser's Fury, also SM3DWorld on the SMM2 Game, and Super Mario Odyssey !!! If Sakurai really hated Waluigi, he wouldn't be in the game at all. He's been an Assist Trophy since their debut in Brawl and Assist Trophies are supposed to be characters who couldn't quite make it as fighters.

Nintendo doesn't hate Waluigi. They just know giving him his own game won't sell. Online fandoms doesn't necessarily translate to return of income. Dead internet theory and all. LOL Game companies like Nintendo conduct organic surveys (among others) to find out.
I think sakurai hates waluigi. He hates him so much that he insults all his fans by putting a stupid piranha plant in smash over waluigi. A PIRANHA PLANT! Sakurai would rather add a dumb piranha plant than just add waluigi himself. that plant doesn’t even do anything in the games it’s in. All it does is sit stationary and throw fireballs, then go back into its pipe. Waluigi has done way more in games then that plant ever did.
People can make arguments everyday about how he could or could not be in a mainline Super Mario title or have his own set of games. I get it. But, if he originated from a spin-off game, what is stopping him from being in another one like Super Smash Bros. I am not on the same boat as all the Waluigi lovers, but I do agree that the argument does not work as well here. And the whole Assist Trophy counter is redundant when you remember that Little Mac began that way, proving it is not impossible. Hell, there are two Chroms in Ultimate. Where is your argument there? I'm guessing if it is specific enough lore, it doesn't matter? Pfft. However, I will defend statements with people saying he made it in already as an Assist Trophy on the grounds he would have to wait for the next game to have another chance. Remember, Little Mac was one in Brawl, but if Brawl did somehow have DLC, I promise you he would have still had to wait until Sm4sh. Likewise, Waluigi lost his chance the moment Ultimate was announced. He was already made an item and they have yet to have a convention break where someone comes in as DLC, despite being an Assist Trophy, *within the same game* you see. But yeah, for me, it would be neat to have something like a storyline where Wario and Waluigi kidnap Peach and maybe since they are more devious, Mario has a more intricate set of levels setup with puzzles, traps and the like instead of the usual fare that Bowser gives him. Maybe even be a bit challenging. Super Mario is popular enough where they could take a risk now on the difficulty. Nothing like The Lost Levels certainly, but it would be neat to see a change of pace. I could defend the spin-off argument by saying there would be nothing wrong with him having a one-off entry either since Peach did.
I never argued the fact that he can’t be in smash because of assist trophies, i mentioned that that was something fans talk about but then argued that they could still put him in the game. But yes, he did originate from a spin off and was just put in for a tennis partner but considering how popular he is now whether expected or not, it would be smart to capitalize and give him anything from his own game to a little puzzle game and even a smash reveal.

The common theory is Waluigi is an assist trophy but he "can be a character" well, actually no he can't because he is already an assist trophy and Nintendo doesn't want to have a character and an assist trophy in tandem. You could say, well just remove the assist trophy, well they can't because Smash Ultimate is supposed to have all of everything! Maybe if they make smash 6...

You didn’t mention important stuff such as Mario, Luigi, and Wario being in Super Mario 64 DS but Waluigi is somehow absent. Also, Waluigi has never appeared or even talked about in a mainline Mario game. The only real game Waluigi has is Waluigi Pinball, but that isn’t really an exciting game or a good one. Also, I think that Waluigi will get a game with wario where you are basically playing a Mario and luigi game but opposite where Wario and Waluigiare the Villains, or maybe even a Super Smash Bros. Villains game where the only playable characters are villains but anyway, Waluigi has been absent for too long and i don’t like it.
They are, both debuted in THE Mario Land series that have bben consistenly been mentioned by Nintendo everytime they make an anniversery saying all the main Mario games. Also Wario was on Super Mario 64 DS a remake of a indispituble main game, And if you thing being a remake makes it less cannon you would be in the wrong, if anything the remakes are more cannon because they add content to the story.

A while ago I wrote my own story for a new Luigi's Mansion, and I had the idea that King Boo could team up with Waluigi.
I would pitch that to Nintendo immediately
imagine waluigi being your ghost hunting teammate but he ends up being more of a hindarance because of several aspects of waluigis characters and half way through waluigi becomes your full on rival and then joins back to your team near the end of the game after you beat him

I think Nintendo was netrual on Waluigi only using him when Wario was in a spin off game but as Waluigis fanbase grew bigger and demand for him became more rabid Nintendo began to hate Waluigi only use him just to spite his fans.
That is somewhat what I believe too, I do believe that the rise in his popularity was unexpected but instead of capitalizing on it they stuck with their guns and went with the original plan for him and that just being an occasional sports and spin on character

While I’ll admit that having a Waluigi game would be cool (I would also love a Daisy game, a Rosalina game, a Pauline game, and even another Yoshi game with Birdo as Player 2), what I would also actually like to imagine is another Mario game with Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Toad as playable characters while have Wario, Waluigi, Captain Syrup and Nabbit as main antagonists to them like they act as counterparts. Plus Princess Daisy as an unlockable character and Bowser as a secret final boss. That could lead to a new twist and a new direction for me. Hope you get where I’m coming from.
I agree, the thing about Mario is that has a million things they can do with they amount of characters they have as well as the auroa around them but they always choose the same thing every game whether it’s Mario saving peach from bowser or a wario ware and sports spin off. They can do so much more. The main reason I focus on Waluigi is because he’s never been in mainline game ever which even Daisy has. Speaking of Daisy, new video coming soon

I am not sure if this is an elaborate joke or not.
I don't think they hate Waluigi, I just don't think they get what fans see in him, and might simply believe he hasn't "earned it" yet.
And to be fair he really *hasn't* earned much of a place in the franchise, fan favorite status aside. Mario, obviously, is the main character. Luigi might've started as a palette swap, but he was there from the very beginning, before the Bros were even Super, and before Nintendo had any idea what a landmark series they were beginning. Bowser is the ever-present antagonist, Wario was basically his handheld counterpart for a time, and Peach... well, she's technically the focal point of whatever "story" the games can be said to have! Even someone like Rosalina, she *still* played a major role in one of the best-regarded main titles, even if she is relatively recent and hasn't made much impact going forward. As for Daisy... well yeah. She's an echo fighter.
As far as Nintendo is concerned, Waluigi is a skin from a multiplayer tennis spinoff. He's a good design for sure, worth reusing here and there, but a bunch of weird Americans in their mid twenties to early thirties having some bizarre half-ironic fixation on him because he's *"so relatable!"* probably doesn't concern Miyamoto much.
I agree 100% my only thing is that the potential he and other players could bring if they are given the spotlight. Rosalina for example was a brand new character and because of the huge games they gave her and her character she became way more important and interesting. Why not do the same for waluigi, even Daisy? The formula is right there they have the characters, the personality and the features now they just need to capitalize on it
@@AccursedHawk At that point it just kind of comes down to a "why? why not? but why? but why not?" sort of argument, and those aren't the sorts of things that're going to motivate a AAA company to start handing out spinoffs and guaranteed roster positions.
Why not Waluigi or Daisy? I don't know, why not Birdo? Why not Funky Kong? Why not Cranky Kong? Why not King Boo? Why not E Gadd? Why not Petey Piranha? For that matter, why not a Zelda game focused on Beedle, or a Star Fox game about Krystal, or a Metroid game where you play as Ridley? Nintendo is a very "core"-focused studio that doesn't care much about worldbuilding or universe expanding, and they're probably never going to wanna set the precedent of "well this character's popular, so let's focus on him for a while." Would it be cool if they *did* care about those things? Sure, but that's not really their brand.
Even exceptions I already mentioned like Rosalina, I mean, she's not *that* much better off than Waluigi. Aside from showing up in a couple Smash entries and being unlockable with minimal fanfare as a secret character in 3D World, she doesn't really appear that much more often than him.

I think they would of loved to put him playable since they heard how many fans wanted him as a dlc character. But he was already programmed as a assist trophy character. First it would be odd and unfair to all the other assist trophy characters that he would be the one to just be reprogrammed to be playable. Second I don't know if you could even reprogram the game to make him playable since he's already a assist trophy, but I bet they could find a way. I like Waluigi but I rather have him have his own game/franchise but I think Nintendo doesn't know how to write a waluigi based game because he's kind of a complicated character other than to be the wing man of Wario and the evil version of Luigi. I guess you could make his games similar to Wario but I don't think Nintendo would want his games to be nock offs of Wario games. But there is always room for hope for a Waluigi game I'm hoping he gets one.
I would agree with that, I do believe though that they just never had any huge interest in putting him in smash, even though he was an assist trophy I believe they could have easily put him in if they wanted to. But regardless I believe his own game would be something really interesting. They would just need to give him an identity what does he represent? Wario is greedy and nasty, Waluigi we have no idea. @@AccursedHawk There’s really only a couple things we know about Waluigi. He’s a romance guy, judging by his varies refrences to roses and the classic rose mouth bite. And that he has a massive amount of self-pity. According to the wiki, Charles Martinet has stated “Waluigi feels that good things are always happening to others and not to him, causing him great frustration. Martinet considers his self-pity to be "the cornerstone of Waluigi's character", such as how he constantly points out his own disadvantages and is quick to attribute his losses to his opponents cheating”

If you mean not being a smash fighters, tons of Nintendo characters like Dixie, Birdo and Toad and all the pokemons are in the same boat. It's not an exclusive title to Waluigi.
I don't think Nintendo hates him per say (considering they couldve easily discontinued him after his first appearance), i think its more so just they think he won't sell like any of the other characters. But I think its total BS tho that he at least hasnt shown up in a MainLine Mario game at the bare minimum though (aside from the easter eggs that Nintendo thinks will satisfy the fans).

The fact that Waluigi was never in Smash is still crazy to me. Also the fact that he wasn’t in Mario Kart 7 even though he was in prior Mario Kart titles. I think getting his own spin-off might be a bit of a stretch, but I would love to see him be a villain in maybe a mainline Mario game. Wario and Waluigi as a villain in a mainline Mario game could lead to a much more interesting story and it would be a breath of fresh air from the typical bowser kidnapping Peach story.
That's a very good point seeing him as a villian like they do with Bowser and how they used to do with Wario would be awesome even in the next Luigi's mansion game why not make him the villian. I wanna throw my hat into this ring because it's so interesting to think about.
A theory I got is because maybe due to Camelot making Waluigi, Nintendo doesn't quite know how to "flesh" him out so to say. I did originally lean on, "unwanted child" or so with this but I kinda feel the former more considering other non-Nintendo made characters for them that they still use (like ones by Retro Games for example). Like Waluigi is a walking meme and thus outside of his mischievous and cheating nature, do you wanna give him more depth like a pond (similar to Bowser Jr) or just leave him as a puddle similar to Mario, so people can connect with him better? Now I'm thinking to myself that Nintendo is possibly indecisive here, with some wanting to try and others not for reasons. "Will is attract controversy like Super Princess Peach? Will this sell okay like the Yoshi games? Or will is do bad like Wario Land: Shake It?"
Also, another theory I got on why Waluigi isn't playable in Smash is because he wasn't in a mainline Mario game (and still isn't). Sure DK and Yoshi got their own branches but did appear in a mainline Mario game, and/or are a iconic character, iconic enough to be brought into Smash (also DK's grandpa was the OG with the Pauline incident and DK is just chill with Mario nowadays, usually). Now I'm not saying Waluigi isn't iconic, but he was specifically made to be in Luigi's own shadow, which is a huge burn in of itself with how much Luigi got treated like a butt monkey for years (and still kinda is). In contrast to Daisy [note: haven't seen your video yet so bare with me here], Daisy appeared in 1 mainline Mario game, Super Mario Land and while she was a copy of Peach she grew into her own character away from Peach herself. [Note #2: I forget if Super Mario Run is another mainline game but if it is or you count it as such, make that 2 mainline games Daisy has over Waluigi]. I feel like in Daisy's case beyond touching mainline at least once, she was lucky enough to be thrown a bone to be a echo fighter. Only time will tell if Waluigi would have a similar case.
One more thing, besides that, I won't be surprised if Waluigi doesn't get much of anything for sometime due to the Smash fandumb being idiots about him not being playable in Ultimate. Because good lord, wtf.

Daisy & Mario have a Game: it's Super Mario Land - the original game for the Nintendo GameBoy, oh and, even Rosalina was in SMG 1 & 2 + Mario And Luigi (you get the picture/you get what I am saying.), including Pauline being in Mario Vs. DonkeyKong / Donkey Kong 1, 2, & 3 (sort of in Donkey Kong 2 & 3)& also SM3DLand, SM3DWorld, SM3DWorrld + Bowser's Fury, also SM3DWorld on the SMM2 Game, and Super Mario Odyssey !!!

If Sakurai really hated Waluigi, he wouldn't be in the game at all. He's been an Assist Trophy since their debut in Brawl and Assist Trophies are supposed to be characters who couldn't quite make it as fighters.

It’s just the script Nintendo has written, nobody can top their main guy. Characters like Waluigi and Daisy would be fantastic in their own game or even in the mainline Mario games but for some reason they don’t want to take the spotlight off of Mario

People can make arguments everyday about how he could or could not be in a mainline Super Mario title or have his own set of games. I get it. But, if he originated from a spin-off game, what is stopping him from being in another one like Super Smash Bros. I am not on the same boat as all the Waluigi lovers, but I do agree that the argument does not work as well here.
And the whole Assist Trophy counter is redundant when you remember that Little Mac began that way, proving it is not impossible. Hell, there are two Chroms in Ultimate. Where is your argument there? I'm guessing if it is specific enough lore, it doesn't matter? Pfft. However, I will defend statements with people saying he made it in already as an Assist Trophy on the grounds he would have to wait for the next game to have another chance.
Remember, Little Mac was one in Brawl, but if Brawl did somehow have DLC, I promise you he would have still had to wait until Sm4sh. Likewise, Waluigi lost his chance the moment Ultimate was announced. He was already made an item and they have yet to have a convention break where someone comes in as DLC, despite being an Assist Trophy, *within the same game* you see.
But yeah, for me, it would be neat to have something like a storyline where Wario and Waluigi kidnap Peach and maybe since they are more devious, Mario has a more intricate set of levels setup with puzzles, traps and the like instead of the usual fare that Bowser gives him. Maybe even be a bit challenging. Super Mario is popular enough where they could take a risk now on the difficulty. Nothing like The Lost Levels certainly, but it would be neat to see a change of pace. I could defend the spin-off argument by saying there would be nothing wrong with him having a one-off entry either since Peach did.
I never argued the fact that he can’t be in smash because of assist trophies, i mentioned that that was something fans talk about but then argued that they could still put him in the game. But yes, he did originate from a spin off and was just put in for a tennis partner but considering how popular he is now whether expected or not, it would be smart to capitalize and give him anything from his own game to a little puzzle game and even a smash reveal.

Also, if I were to note one more thing. How come you said Waluigi being in Smash was not the main point on his inclusion in the mainline games, yet write off Daisy the way you did in the video by noting she already made it in Ultimate?
@@Medachod there is also another Mario character that debuted in spin off games (with the exact same reason) and somehow still receives more love from the developers and is Toadette, so the "filler spin off character" is so weak

Real answer: Waluigi is good at sports kart racing and parties, not so much All-star fighting
The common theory is Waluigi is an assist trophy but he "can be a character" well, actually no he can't because he is already an assist trophy and Nintendo doesn't want to have a character and an assist trophy in tandem. You could say, well just remove the assist trophy, well they can't because Smash Ultimate is supposed to have all of everything! Maybe if they make smash 6...
Yeah I’ve heard people talk about that which I understand, but ultimate is 5th installment and he still hasn’t been in it which is odd to make him an assist trophy. Even if we do get a smash 6 which I don’t see happening for at least another 5 years at least, I’d think they would put him in that one

You didn’t mention important stuff such as Mario, Luigi, and Wario being in Super Mario 64 DS but Waluigi is somehow absent. Also, Waluigi has never appeared or even talked about in a mainline Mario game. The only real game Waluigi has is Waluigi Pinball, but that isn’t really an exciting game or a good one. Also, I think that Waluigi will get a game with wario where you are basically playing a Mario and luigi game but opposite where Wario and Waluigiare the Villains, or maybe even a Super Smash Bros. Villains game where the only playable characters are villains but anyway, Waluigi has been absent for too long and i don’t like it.

They are, both debuted in THE Mario Land series that have bben consistenly been mentioned by Nintendo everytime they make an anniversery saying all the main Mario games. Also Wario was on Super Mario 64 DS a remake of a indispituble main game, And if you thing being a remake makes it less cannon you would be in the wrong, if anything the remakes are more cannon because they add content to the story.
