Always do business with a reputable broker. Avoid doing business with the shipper they can and will play games with you about the price. The price you negotiate with the broker if they are reputable will stay the same. Just make sure you give yourself enough time between when it "ships and you need your vehicle". That's one of the big factors on price. Me and my wife just found out all of this stuff the hard way. Thankfully god was on our side regardless of the shady cats out there we had to sift though.

Most brokers are a bunch of scams but not carriers so have your broker agent choose wisely
What a thoroughly scummy business. The broker quotes one price but the contract says the price can change for any reason and if you don't pay the difference on arrival they impound the car at your expense until paid. Contracts often claim the broker has no obligation to make sure the drivers insurance is up to date and they are not responsible in any way for any incident whatsoever. Imagine if I sold you a roof and said I was responsible for nothing, the crew is subcontractor and I guarantee nothing about their ability or insurance and if you don't pay for any reason, even if my or the crews fault, we lein your house.
