Without my grandmother, I would never have the love and huge collection of lego. So glad she bought me a bunch as a kid. 18 now and glad she's still kickin and buying me sets!
ur so lucky bro… my grandma is losing her memory and the other one lives in Spain.. the only thing I want in life is a republic venator but it’s 800 dollars soo that ain’t happening
Losing a loved one is hard, I know I have a really close relationship with my grandma. So I can only imagine the hurt and loss you must have gone through. I think it’s cool that you have sets that reminds you of her though! Keep up the good work. I’ll be praying for you!
Now that you said that the Palpatine's Shuttle is a fogotten set, that set was precisely the first time I got a SW set in a clearance after Christmas, so I guess you're right.
I remember in the Christmas of 2011, I asked my parents for the LEGO Black Pearl from Pirates of the Caribbean. However, my parents played a prank on me. Since the box of the Black Pearl was the exact same size as the box for the 2010 clone turbo tank, THEY GOT ME BOTH. They wrapped both of them up, put the turbo tank under the tree, and put the Black Pearl behind the couch. When it was time to open presents, I grabbed the clone turbo tank, thinking it was the Black Pearl, opened it, and my heart just sank. When everyone was done opening presents, my dad asked what that thing over there behind the couch was, and so I got completely bamboozled by my parents, and I kind of laughed inside.
I had a similar trick too on me but different genre. I'd wanted the Payday 2 video game and it maturely rated, I wasn't inclined to get it. At the end though they mentioned "Whats that in the tree" and up above i'd pulled it out and there it was! Christmas of 2013/14 maybe.

This is probably the most emotional MandR video that I’ve seen since the BrickBuster MandRproductions. I’m proud of you Ryan, for speaking out about things that normally are really hard to talk about. Deaths of loved ones is tough, but we all have to get through it. We support you Ryan
Growing up, my parents couldn't afford the bigger sets so I'd usually safe up for them myself. I remember asking my mom to Toys R Us cuz I wanted a grey baseplate and most Lego was 30% off. She picked it up for me and I paid her back. Turns out she bought the Arc 170 for sale and it was one of the coolest things to open to open on Christmas day! I love that ship
I didn't really care about the Tie Defender until it played a bigger role in Star Wars Rebels and I actually learned more about it. Now that I know what it is I'd totally love to see a remake of it and include Grand Admiral Thrawn with it.
This video brought back so much nostalgia because 2010 was the last year I bought Star Wars legos and I had almost all of these sets. That is until last year thanks to your videos reminding me of my love for legos. Thanks Ryan, you got this 24 year old back into his favorite childhood pass time!
It’s clear how much you love your grandma by this video. My grandma also bought me a lot of Star Wars lego so I have similar memories. 2010 was a really nostalgic year. I was at the time (2010) battling with being a 10th grade girl buying lego Star Wars and trying not to feel like an absolute child doing so
I remember going to my great grandmas place which was in a old people home or whatever you call them, i had just picked up the podracer set and i was so excited to show her, i built half of it there and i was so happy and she was very impressed with “what toys are available to the youth these days” she liked the creativity behind lego specifically. I was just 5 years old in 2011, now i’m 16 and look back at that memory fondly, since i lost her a few weeks after visiting her there. I love lego, brings back all the memories, the sad, the good, the funny and also the angry memories. And everytime i look at that podracer set, i think about her, and her love of creativity.
As someone who built many of these sets with my grandma, your story not only touched my heart, but made me so emotional. I'm so sorry that you lost your grandmother, but I'm glad to hear that lego not only brought you together but built a strong relationship between you. My heart goes out to you man.
Hey Ryan. I know I am viewing this video extremely late by society standards but I just wanted to comment and say sorry for the loss of your grandmother. I know how hard it can be losing loved ones, and how nothing can fill that void that’s formed. And even tho it’s been so long since it happened don’t let them make you think it’s not real or important. I know you have probably moved on by now but if you haven’t just know you’re not alone. I have Lego set idea: Take the Midi-Scale Star Destroyer, beef it up in size a little bit, also include a MC80 Liberty Type Or Home One type Mon Cala ship. Include some stands and some small ass TIE Fighters and X-wings. Bingo, a Midi-Scale space battle
I appreciate you being open about the loss of your grandmother. Some people may say LEGO is “just a toy,” and hey, maybe it is just a toy, but if a toy can help you remember someone you love more clearly and poignantly after they’ve passed, then that is a beautiful thing.
Gawd damn almost making me cry with the bit at 7:00 definitely a reminder of how great the excitement and imagination of a child is tho! Sorry for your loss my guy 🫡

I feel you though man, I lost my grandma about the same length of time as you lost yours. It’s hard for me to think and talk about as well, stay strong bud. Keep up the great work!!
Sucks that LEGO can't brought back old sets to LEGO Store and LEGO Shop at Home. I know they're doing this to make place for new sets releasing, but if they brought them back everyone would've been happy
The 2010 Luke's Land Speeder is the first Lego set I ever received. My parents gave it to me for my birthday, and I was so excited. My Aunt had lots of really cool sets, and I had wanted my own Star Wars Lego sets for so long. It'll always have a special place in my heart for that reason.
Wow the nostalgia is real. Arc 170 is my favorite that I own from this year, followed by Slave 1. I actually have a few of these on my workbench rn that I’m doing maintenance on
Omg palpitines shuttle is my favorite set and it is totally the most underrated set in lego Star Wars, I got it from my grandma for my bday and it was my first big set. 2010 was my most nostalgic year for lego Star Wars. I was 6 or 7 at the time.
2010 was such an amazing year! Brings back a lot of great memories of when I originally heavily started into Star Wars and RUclips, and eventually met you not long after lmao. Crazy how time flies. The ARC-170 was the first set I purchased back then, such an awesome set! We’re definitely overdue for a new one. Overall the Turbo Tank definitely brings back the most memories and is easily one of my all time favorite sets. Plus having 2 back in the day was pretty sweet😂
2010 was one of the best years for LEGO Star Wars. I had really wanted the ARC-170 and Droid Tri-Fighter, but sadly never got them. The commercials that year were great, too. I remember getting two Snowtrooper Battle Packs. For my dad's birthday that year, we got him the Luke's Landspeeder set and it was lots of fun.
I have such fond memories of the wampa cave. I remember spending the weekend with my grandparents and getting the choice of this and Plo Koons star fighter along with the clone battle pack and picking this. I loved episode five and had so much fun with this one
I remember some dude photoshopped his 2005 version in like early 2010 to make it look like he had 2 but people realized it and called him out like mad lmaooo
I have a similar connection to the 2009 Clone Wars Y-wing. Got that for Christmas at grandparents house, vividly remember building it in their house, and now they have both passed within the last year and a half and the house is sold and that chapter of my life has come to a close 😪
Family is so important. I know she passed some time ago but I’m sure that pain never really stops. Hearing your voice crack when you spoke of her broke my heart. I’m sure she is incredibly proud of you. My sons and I enjoy listening to your videos and rumors.
9:17 fun fact, he used the ejector seat in a cut out scene from episode 3. It was cuted out because it was too brutal, he was torn apart by the lasers in the air after he left the cockpit.
Wow, the emotion in your voice during that Cad Bane set really caught me off guard. Even I started tearing up a bit It takes a big man to be vulnerable like that.
I remember my dad bought me a rebel battle pack and a stormtrooper battle pack from 2008. I was maybe five and had just seen Star Wars for the first time. It meant so much to me because we where so strapped for cash and like I just remember how those 8 figures and two little vehicles kept me so happy and I was so creative with them and every day was a new battle.
I don't have a lot of emotional memories regarding lego sets, but one that your video reminded me of was when my grandparents got me one of the original Pirates lego sets, Forbidden Island, for Christmas. I had some lego sets that my older brother had let me have, but this was the first set that was truly mine, and led me to be a devotee of the pirates theme for a long time.
I feel you with having sets holding memories of a loved one, I got the Clone Turbo Tank around summer 2011 from my mom who I built it with a couple of months before we lost her, the set is sadly in a bit of disrepair at the moment, but the memories it holds is incredible.
The Wampa cave.. I remember when it released, I was in New York for the first time, and my grandma gave me $20. Then, walking through Central Park, I found a $20 bill on the ground, submerged in a puddle. Needless to say, I begged my parents to go to the lego store, and I bought it:) first lego set I ever bought with my own money. Also, Ryan. I’m sorry about your Grandma. I lost my Grandma on 9/11 this year. It’s really rough.
I very much get understand how you felt about that set and your grandma. My grandma would also take me shopping at the Lego aisle at Target during the 2010/2011 years. She bought me the snow trooper battle pack (which I thought was just the coolest thing ever) shortly before passing away. I have a really strong tie to that battle pack, and I still think it's one of the coolest (no pun intended) battle packs ever produced
Love the Imperial Shuttle. Disassembled mine over the weekend for a proper cleaning and then reassemble. Can't wait. Haven't built it a second time since I got it in 2013. That's right. I was lucky enough to snag this at a shop that long after it was retired. Luckiest find ever!
I lost my grandma this year. she was 90 and could only speak Italian, she loved cooking right up until she passed. she would cook for my entire extended family every Sunday up until she passed. I know what you went through it is hard
Dude! Love your reviews. You’re usually spit on with predictions and I appreciate that! If you want a blue milk Luke, pre order the new Star Wars lego game on Xbox or PS5. The collector pack comes with Luke drinking blue milk.
2010 was my favorite year for LEGO Star Wars. I may be a bit biased because that’s when I started collecting and making LEGO videos, but the selection of big and small sets is the perfect array for someone who wants to start collecting.
2010 was the first big lego Star Wars year for me as a kid, kind of my introduction. I got Cad Bane's Speeder, Plo Koon's Starfighter and the Clone Turbo Tank.
Plo Koons fighter was my fist ever Lego Star Wars set and I've been collecting to this day. I too bought it with my Grandmother and it holds a special place in my heart

We need more worst to first videos
Oh I know 😂 at least 2 more for 2021 here.
That wampa cave needs a remake
I lost my grandma this year. she was 90 and could only speak Italian, she loved cooking right up until she passed. she would cook for my entire extended family every Sunday up until she passed. I know what you went through it is hard
Dude! Love your reviews. You’re usually spit on with predictions and I appreciate that! If you want a blue milk Luke, pre order the new Star Wars lego game on Xbox or PS5. The collector pack comes with Luke drinking blue milk.
Ryan, really lovely story about your Gran. Thanks for sharing that.
2010 was my favorite year for LEGO Star Wars. I may be a bit biased because that’s when I started collecting and making LEGO videos, but the selection of big and small sets is the perfect array for someone who wants to start collecting.
Cad Banes Speeder will always have a special place in my heart because it was the first LEGO Star Wars set I ever got as a kid
The tie defender played a major role in Thrawn's successful campaign against Zaarin. I love that set. 2010 was a great lego star wars year.
Thank You For Sharing Such Wonderful Memories Of Your Grandmother…. We ALL Can Share Memories Of People We Have LOVED And Lost…. And Having Them Linked With Some Of Your LEGO SW Sets Of That Year Will ALWAYS Be Fond Memories To Look Back On 😌. GREAT Work As ALWAYS…. I Look Forward To Your Next Video Ranking SW Sets From Another Year 😁👍🏼
Loved this year so much man. Got most of these sets between my own money and birthdays/christmas
This was my favorite video of urs, seemed like u we’re in a good mood 😁
4 Hoth sets in 1 year. An AT AT and Snowspeeder in the same year! Opposing battle packs! Amazing.
2009,2010 is where I started collecting lego
Palpatine's shuttle is so nostalgic to me because I can vividly remember watching the ads for it on TV at my Great Aunt's house.
Wow this really brings back the nostalgia of have only random bricks and idolizing what I saw in the catalogues. My mom actually threw the first one I had away cause I wouldn’t stop looking at it
The 2010 summer wave means a lot to me It made me interested in Lego Star Wars and in general in Star Wars, thanks to the Wampa cave set !
I don’t know if you’ll see this or not but if you do I think that you bring Lego to a whole new level and I have so much fun just chilling and watching your videos and I’m sorry for your loss
15:57 I wish I could go back to when that was my biggest worry 😂
