- Taking a look at EVERY LEGO Star Wars set released in 2014 was interesting because there's sets from nearly everything at the time. The 75053 Ghost & 75048 Phantom from Rebels, 75055 Imperial Star Destroyer & 75059 UCS Sandcrawler reppin' the Original Trilogy, some clone battle packs and more from the prequels!

The Vulture Droid is actually pretty accurate with its size and the moving wings. The older ones were way too small compared to what you see in the movies!
Agreed whenever you see a vulture droid on the ground walking around they are prty massive and along with figures i think this one is rly spot on.
The set with Jek 14 the reason why one backwards is cause he's a gunner
Ya, it's a prototype E-Wing
Ryan knew it was a gunner, he was just saying that the gunner position had no view over the back of the ship so it was a bad place to put the gunner.
My bad on what I said, I hadn't watched yet and assumed it was the E-Wing he was talking about
He needs to be there so he can escape also there is probably a camera on that turret if the gunner is not on the turret

There isn't any WORST, there were only GOOD and FINE, that year was the true and the most glorious year for LEGO Star Wars!
Worst doesn't really mean bad, when you compare things, some things will be better or worse than others.

Alex Reppert also it’s your own opinion at the end of the day. None of what you think about any given year is good or bad and then should be considered that as a fact. I personally liked 2014 and 2015 very highly and I still think following years had some good sets. I don’t think any set is truly bad with maybe the exception of kylo rens shuttle 2015 which was beyond their control as they did not have the info to release an accurate model for the market and the first order at st which might not have been under their control but even then that should not have been released for more than the cost of the previous Walker released in 2016 which was also still available in many places at that time.
Not gonna lie, the Yoda Chronicles did be kinda vibing though
2021 we need an MTT remake
It would sell well if it had 20 - 25 battle droids and maybe two gungans and Qui Gon Jinn for 95 bucks
The 2007 MTT was my favorite lego set I've ever owned.

TheDiamondSabre yeah if it’s SIMILAR to the 2007 mtt but maybe 25 battle droids,1 battle droid pilot,a pk droid,A battle droid commander,a security battle droid,obi wan,Qui Gon, 3 Naboo guards, and maybe 5 gungans along with a flash speeder and a kaadu remake with it is this okay with a GIGANTIC mtt
This is my favorite wave. Maybe a little to many battle packs but at least they were pretty good. I mean even the worst on the list, the vulture droid, still has value and isn’t useless or anything.
I think if they put an episode 3 clone turbo tank to go with the other kashyeek sets. I would definitely be my personal favourite

That Star destroyer is always going to have a special place in my heart. I remember it being the first big set I ever got. I still have it and it is displayed on my shelf
Samee though I can’t believe Lego haven made a play scale star destroyer in now nearly 9 years
I 100% agree with the UCS sandcrawler being number one. It was an awesome build really imposing. It was my first UCS set and first set over 3K pieces so it holds a special place on my heart. I love that thing.

Gonna be honest that vulture droid was over priced.
And then the mtt had a lot less minifigures than the last time.
Why buy this when you can get the other one.
I think the newer mtt is better for people like me because we have less space to put it, but even then I didn’t get it sadly. (It would have been cooler if it had more space for figures though)
edge lord it also suffered from the fact that it included named characters, unlike the previous (2007) version it also included less figures and less parts for a bigger price point. Even with inflation included it should be closer to the price of the last one. Even if it costed say £20 more I would be ok with that.

The 2014 advent calendar is my favorite. Nostalgia is the reason.
This was my recent favorite wave because it was the first time since 2005 where Lego based a large majority of the sets on Revenge of the Sith!

i-spy yea. That’s why I got the 2007 version earlier this year. I might have paid more than full price for a used copy but at least I have it. I think Lego will never beat the 2007 version.

2014 was a pretty great year. While some sets are disappointing, none are bad I would say. Just shows how great of a year it was for Lego.
2013 and 2014 were by far the best years of lego Star Wars

Those Utapau battlepacks were awesome, as a kid, those had so much playability, and those weird tri droids were so fun, great year for battle packs, and clones in general

I have that sandcrawler, and must say, it is my favorite set, ever, period.
These still feel like new sets for me because I've been building legos forever haha
I actually loved that Vulture Droid. In addition, it was the only Vulture Droid in lego that I purchased (excluding the hyena droid bomber).
Great list Ryan. Couldn’t agree more about the Sandcrawler. Even though it’s not a classic UCS set, it even stands out to me as one of the top 5 UCS sets of all time. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and stay safe.
Looking back on this now, I think that Ryan not liking "Rebels" and then liking it all the sudden is the main reason why the rebels sets r worth so much now.
the 2014 one Vulture Droid actually is the only one in the correct scale. Its weird though with how used you get to Lego's scaling. I realised that with how confused I became while watching 2Brick's Fleet Series, where he makes Micro Scale Vehicles properly scaled to each other. Though that aside, I dont think anyone wanted a 25$ (30€ in EU) Vulture Droid.
Alot of people also seem to like the Kashyyyk Battlepack, I managed to sell my used one with OVP for 40€ (Bricklink didnt have prices for used+ ovp so I just went a bit above the highest price for it used)
Such a good year. So underrated, a great balance of sets

I have the vulture droid and really like it. The only complaint is that the wings are incredibly flimsy. The minifigs were cool
I recently found my droid gunship and B wing sets that I didn’t even realize I had since 2014

QWERTY 772 it was, I was like “woah I had that?” And I look in my box of instructions and boom there’s the one for the B wing (the droid gunship was unopened though I just had it hidden away for some reason)

You get one seasonal figure that you can't use anywhere else, a droid, a battle droid almost always, then 1 desirable figure that's exclusive, then maybe 1 reprint of something and then the rest are microscale builds of ships that have been done to death or we don't care to see.

2014 was the year I started collecting Lego so I have quite a lot of these and watching this brings me some nostalgia cause I lost most of the stuff

That was probably my favorite sequence from the show :) So fun and it felt like genuine Star Wars

This was my all time favorite year of my life and LEGO. That year had worked perfectly for me. The star destroyer from that year is one of my favorite sets of all time, this year also created the Parisian restaurant, my favorite set ever.

I actually do like the Vulture Droid model. Yeah, its wings are not the most durable, but it is perfectly scaled to minifigs compared to the other ones they’ve released, which is an advantage.

When I first saw the Ghost and Phantom sets, I thought those were all of the main characters. When I watched Rebels I noticed that Sabine was actually a main character. LEGO kind of messed with that...

I like the 2014 MTT but I can agree that it was made too small, but I think it looks better than the 2007 one even though that one was a beast.

I absolutely loved the Jedi scout fighter. It was one of my favorite sets to play with when I was younger but I lost it to the bin. 😢
