I don't like apple, but wont pick a fight with someone about it, but just remember, android has an app called airdroid for copying files/contacts/photots etc over wifi to any computer on the network. So it's not a unique feature for iphone, and also, android has many unique apps as well that is only for android devices that spreads across mobile, tablet and pc e.g.hangouts, so imessage does not count :) Still, awesome videos, keep it up.
Truth is... vertical integration allows Apple to run iOS smoothly with just 1gb or ram.. but a mid range Android phone with ample ram (3-4gb) costs much less than the cheapest iPhone. Vertical integration is only helping Apple maximize profits instead of benefiting the consumer.

+Angelo Abela it's really efficient, though. I don't have an iPhone or any smartphone, but I did have an iPod Touch 5 that only had 512GB of RAM (less than 1 GB of RAM) for 2 years... Other than games specifically made for the latest iPhone with it's latest chip, it ran pretty smoothly... As a matter a fact, I just got the iPod Touch 6 that only has 1GB of RAM... that's double from the last generation of iPod Touch and the results are astonishing even with high quality games. If Apple cripples it's iPod Touch line and it runs smooth in my eyes, I can only imagine the iPhone even if it did have 1GB of RAM. The types of games and high quality apps being optimized for it should give a clue. Keep in mind I use my iPod Touch like a phone and use it for gaming and productivity
Not saying iPhones are better than Android or vice versa, but I'm pretty sure iPhones run better than you think.

James B Not saying better necessarily.. but if we are taking the super efficient OS as an advantage because it needs less ram then it better translate that into savings which Apple does not. In the end the efficiency of the OS only serves Apple and not the end user.
I'm an android user. I would like to use apple. But it's too limited. I like the freedom of android.

jamppa- .-kor me too, iPhones look great and are fast, but I can't live without making my phone mine, like using widgets and nova launcher, as well as the awesome extra features Android has like NFC, Setting default messaging apps and downloading songs from the internet without having to use iTunes and spending money on the song.

Aka instead of working harder, you're working smarter. That's just my opinion. At the end of the day, it's personal preference.

It has also more free apps than Apple, most of Apple software is paid... And on Android the pricing for paid apps is not that terrifiying as on Apple... And this is one of the major reasons, why I won't ever change Android for iOS...

I just got an iPhone 5 and I looked for 3 hrs to find the folder to which a audio file I just downloaded went. I ended up in this video. SMH.
John C John in iOS the file stays in the app you download, so if you hit the share button and copy it to a file manager like documents or something it will go there and you can play it.
You SHOULD find all in Files and for sure all iOs users have to install Documents by Readdle app to be fully able to create folders and files. Generally on iOs it works in this way that an app gives you its own folder to put there some files. I know, it is silly but that’s the actual Apple reality which hopefully will be changed for good.

That's true to an extent; major changes have been made when it comes to functionality and performance by both iOS and Android devices.

Charles Zevisionneur UFS 2.0 and Sd cards aren't compatible, so they aren't ever coming back, and to have a removeable battery it would need to be plastic and would be considered cheap and wouldn't sell, asus just released a 256Gb phone, hopefully that will get other manufacturers to move theor ass on storage.

Apple is a marketing company, not a technology company. It doesn't make the iPhone better. They try to sell the idea that the iPhone will make you look cooler or improve your life (every company does that) but it's all just marketing. Yeah, it's a strong brand and software is well optimised and well integrated but Android has more freedom to it. It's up to you at the end of the day.
Samsung is more of a marketing company than Apple.

1. Side load apps? Please elaborate.
2. Because of security and stability. Bluetooth is not a secure nor a stable data transfer channel in the first place.
3. Again for security. This may be opened up more (just as they opened up for keyboard, Siri and search extensions) but not until it is secure enough.
4. Major releases such as iOS 7 to 8 and 8 to 9 comes packed with a lot of new features, which are optimized for their multi CPU and upgraded hardware. It makes absolutely no sense to support old devices, just as Android wouldn't run on an old Nokia.
Software is (usually) optimized for the current hardware as well as future, but usually drop support for older hardware, because it is simply a waste of money and time-and also adds complexity and size to the software.
+Christian Petersen What he meant by side-loading apps is the ability to download apps and files from other locations besides the app store. It is a useful feature but can be much less secure. I very rarely do it but it does come in handy when you need to use it.
Patrick Budnick Why would you even need another app store? You open up for potentially vulnerable apps (malware, vulnerablity, etc.)-we have seen this multiple times on Android third-party app stores, which are run by manufactures.
Google Play is the official app store on Android. That is the safest place to get apps for Android.
Plus, Android is open software which is built to be used by manufactures. What the manufactures do has nothing to do with Google.

- This can be usefull of an specific version( Old, New or Unreleased) or even an Moded version of an app
- Also due to open sourceness almost anyone can create their own apps and personalization packs and Share it.
- Also can be used for Piracy if u wish not to pay
Vedang P I see, but it doesn't change the fact and my statement. A trusted source needs its content tested and verified- Cloud storage, Bluetooth and E-mail does neither, therefore are not trusted sources.
When you submit apps to app stores (such as App Store and Google Play) they will have to go through a testing and validity process by, made by Apple and Google respectivly.
While some people can find it useful, that is not Apple's nor Google's goal (and manufactures using Android).
If you use software that is not supported by its manufacture, you will not get support and won't be under the insurance contract if anything goes wrong.

Look at today's smart phone. They started to produce with less keys, or almost without, after iPhone did. Now some of them make phones with fixed battery. Open your eyes. Some others also producing phones without SD card support. Bad news for you. Look at the near future.

corey495 I've been jailbreaking since 2011, never took a risk nor had any problems while being jailbroken. Jailbreaking is freedom, literally any feather you want on your phone you can make it happen through jailbreaking!

I've been with Android for years now, but i switched to IOS for its optimized and stable software. Not to mention a great ecosystem like iTunes to help me organize the content on my device. Plus its important for me to have the latest software and Android just wasn't delivering. I shouldn't have to root my device to have Marshmallow

+SPS828Gaming It's not Google at fault, it's partially manufacturers, however most of them are a lot better about it now. The real problem is the carriers. They should not have anything to do with software updates, they just provide calling, texting, and data. If carriers were out of the process, the problem would be a lot less severe
Griffin Melson The carriers are a problem too. I stopped buying phones direct from T-Mobile and I just buy them unlocked because of that.

This was an awesome video. I love customization but I get lost in it sometimes, so I've been thinking about switching to iPhone for the simplicity and the accessories that are much easier to find with it. Thank you. Still not sure what I am going to choose, but this video has made it much easier to make a decision.
Probably just my observation. Any Android user who knows what's "rooting" and "file explorer" can pick and iPhone and figure out how it works within minutes. My company tried to switch everyone to Android company phones, but they couldn't, Apple users had too many difficulties with Android.

I pay $0 for my verizon cellphone service, unlimited everything and hot spot. I will take either android or apple under those circumstances. I talked to multiple Apple owners and while they might want to switch to android, apple is much simpler and that's why they use it.
Reason our company runs everyone on androids A) they are cheaper B) easier to replace since our phones go through hell. C) our CEO uses android so it's far easier for everyone to learn new apps such as Procore and address bugs in that app.

It is possible that Apple dumbness actually hurts Android platform. Companies started making things very simple. Some apps got primitive. Google maps for example used to have zoom button, you could have had them turned on or off, it used to have measure function and experimental features, now it's all gone. I believe even developers options were always on in earliest android versions.

I don't prefer Android over iOS, they both do the same basic tasks, but as someone who is in IT I like Android more due to the various things you can play with.
The main reason I have Android is because I like the brand *Samsung* over *Apple*, to me a huge company like Samsung that has been doing this for a long time and has probably the best screen quality in the world is just more appealing.
If I had to chose between Apple vs HTC/Dell/Motorola/LG I would choose Apple because I simply don't think the other companies have the bright idea of advancing in to the future with new innovative technology.

Great video, as usual, but I think you missed two important points: hardware and cost.
I can plug my AKG headphones into my Sony phone to listen to music, because it has an industry-standard 3.5mm jack socket. You have to pay extra for an adapter for the iPhone.
For less than £20, I added 64GB of high-speed storage to my phone with a microSD card. Can't do that with an iPhone - that way they can charge more for higher-capacity models.
I can charge my phone with any USB charger because it has an industry-standard USB-C socket. It cost me less than a tenner to buy a pack of USB-C leads that I now use with all my existing chargers, including those left over from previous phones. Apple, on the other hand, forces people into an exclusive and expensive club with its hardware - a business model that basically says 'screw the customer'.

Windows is for hipsters, I mean c'mon... Android and iOS are the only mobile phone operating systems that worth considering. I use Android now and Windows on my PC , but in future if I become some kind of millionaire rich bastard to afford a Mac + iphone + yacht combo then I'll do it. Android is designed for "normal" folks like me, while iOS is made for exclusive, premium, business people. I love them both tho'

Once you factor price into the equation, Android wins unanimously without a shadow of a doubt!
Current high end androids can be expensive too, for example the pixel. Its just that there are actually budget android phones, and if you are the type who likes to keep up with newer tech but not pay a premium, android will be better.
The only reason why I'll always stay with android is google, and also the fact that they have a back button on the bottom, and you dont need to stretch your fingers to the top to press back

Yes the operative word is "can" but the beauty of Android is "choice" there are brands like Huawei, Lenovo, Xioami to name a few that are producing high end Android smartphones that rival if not exceed the performance and functionality of premium brands like Samsung at a much lower price, but i wouldn't put overpriced Google phones in the same category as Samsung as Samsung offers "more bang for your buck".
Why do you say Android "wins" on price? What is the price of Android and IOS? So an iPhone 4 running IOS is cheaper than a Galaxy S7 running android so that means IOS wins unanimously without a shadow of a doubt? Let me know what the price of the operating system is and then maybe we can compare it dumb ass.

I know when i had my Galaxy S4 I'll showing my friends my really customize phone and show them the face unlock and some of my friends who got IPhones asked what app I'm using and I'll be like it's only on Android and they'll still asked me what app I'm using so they can see if it's on IPhone
