I don't know where you got 60 to 62 hrc... they have actually been testing in the 57 to 58 hrc range and that is pretty common knowledge. I absolutely love Microtech, but just imagine if they actually did get there heat treatment right! Do edge retention test & the facts will show
Your right it’s the perfect knife which is crazy why they don’t make them . The pocket clip is perfect but not huge the blade being 4 inches is perfect the curve in the handle for your hand is Perfect . It’s exactly what I am looking for but can’t find so I’m having to buy 2 different knives to satisfy my urges right now lol

I really like microtech but don't own any.I have played with several.My wife yells at me all the time for shaving hair on my arms to see if my arms are sharp.

Rollshambo have you ever handed anyone something like a stitch and they deploy it and drop it from the kick ? I learned not to hand it over 😂😂. My brother dropped it luckily on carpet .

It seems like half my collection are ones I can't recommend because they keep getting discontinued😭 and youre 100% right,the "Chinatech" knives still aren't cheap. Just checked out D.C. Munroe knives though, that's a knife designer I'd love to get a blade from, who knows maybe sometime soon!
That is not the John Wick knife, the Cypher used in JW 3 was a D/E knife, and if you know anything about Microtech knives, you should know they release certain models each year, it will be back.

Yeah I'm not a microtech expert I just have a few, sounds like you know your stuff though, but I highly doubt that even if they release the Cypher again that it will be the same mk7 model, just look at the makora or the scarab yeah they came back but they are different so while you may be correct that they will probably slap the same name on a new iteration sometime in the future it won't be the mk7 it will be a new gen. just like how you can buy a new chevy camaro but it's not the same as a 68 camaro ..different is different- thanks for the info 😄
Cool knife. No envy here, though. I probably would’ve bought one in 2018, but I’m not too interested in MT products these days. Marfione can go eat a bag o’ d1x for what he’s doing to Axial Gear. 🤨
Yeah I can understand that, would like to get an Axial to review too, I've heard they're excellent quality for the price
@@Rollshambo You definitely should get an Axial Shift. Imo, the Shift at least as good as a MT Ultratech, (the Shift is superior if you want a smoother deployment and don’t need a glass breaker), at a much lower price. That’s why Marf is using his influence in the industry to pressure knife distributors not to carry Axial products. He doesn’t appreciate the competition, and his business ethics are… lacking, to put it lightly.
