After seeing Jackass 4, I literally told my wife, "Danger Ahren held that movie on his back." That Cup Check was one of the gnarliest things I've ever seen. You're one of the greats of the crew, man.
I agree. I was sweating after seeing him get the pogo stick to the balls. And I felt for him with the bear. He did the most intense stunts out of any of them.
This topic isn’t easy to talk about just because of the emotions it brings up. Also Steve-O is a real bro for bringing it up and letting Ehren talk about it in a healthy way.
@@Wonderlikechild I mostly know Steve-o from these interviews over the last few years. Way different than assumptions I made based on what I saw in the few jackass clips I have seen. I don't know if it is just him having gone through recovery or if he was always this thoughtful/caring, but I really dig that he is projecting that image and pushing positive vibes out here.
🤪Hater 🥱 the new mainstream push 🤪 calling someone a hater while you sit on your high-horse thinking you're better🥱 calling someone a hater is name calling... It's what starts fights.. especially coming from a spoiled rich kid.. which is usually the one saying this word.. don't hate on my yacht..😭 haters 😭 we feel so sorry for you😢
@Skrompeterto he was the funny person in the new movie, and some of the jokes like “that’s not a light weight!” Were funny but some really weren’t, but like I said I think he gets the last laugh because the cup test and the bear were the two gnarliest scenes in the movie.
Even in the first three films, he still carried weight. I really like his scenes in the first two. It felt like him and Dave Englund really had comedic chemistry.
Idk what you're saying. Steveo s attempt to shift blame seemed to fall flat. A simple apology for whatever part you played in the bullying would have been better
I've always felt for Danger Ehren - from Forever to the first movie. He's always been picked on and pranked harder than others... made to feel like a geek/dork for shit... And he always took it. Major respect for him for putting up with it all. He hits me something deep. He's one of the MVPs of Jackass. Not just Jackass Forever, but of Jackass in general.
He needs to get an opportunity to prank several if not all members at once similar to to when Knoxville had multiple prank victims in the paintball drone prank
I was thinking of something everyone would agree to do(stunt instead of a prank) and wouldn’t be one single thing but several things(possibly things that Ehren went though previously but kicked up a notch). The nicer/meaner you were you get more or less punishment all at Ehren’s hands. However at the end Ehren gets shit on(literally a giant pile of shit dumped on him, without Erhens knowledge) and thus the natural order is restored. Then go into the final scene and bring the camaraderie back.
He probably realised he was one of the few original cast members who could still do a lot of the harder stuff and thought "screw it, go out with a bang and get more money for more screen time", good on him I say!
If Danger Ehren reads this, you are just as memorable as the rest of the cast. And out of all the movies, the prank they was pulled on you on jackass 2 is the best skit/prank than all the movies. That will always be memorable. I hope you are surrounded by positive people that treat you right.
People can say what the want about Ehren, but the dude has some of the best ever jackass skits/ bits. The dude was awesome! In a crew of hyper mayhem, he held himself well
One of my favorites that never gets mentioned is the bed of nails. "I'm on a f*cking bed of nails!" With total seriousness and conviction after he said he wanted to get off and they were poo pooing it.
A little over a week ago I ran into Danger Ehren at my local target. Although a very sudden and short encounter, he was honestly one of the nicest and chillest people I've ever interacted with. I felt so bad interrupting his time with his daughter, but he was more than happy to talk and even offered to take a picture. I've watched all the Jackass movies growing up, and this being really the only interaction with a celebrity I've had, I will never forget it. Thank you Ehren!
Ehren deserves a lot of credit for dealing with that in a mature manner. He could have named names and smeared people, but instead he talked about how bullying hurts others and how we should be more mindful when it comes to how we treat each other. Class act.
His tooth being pulled by a lamborghini was fucking traumatising for me lmao, Ehren did some of the worst stunts back then, and he got no respect for it whatsoever.
@@spaghe7 Preston could take it on the chin and could throw it back out. Even to the layman, Ehren seemed vulnerable to abuse that mounted towards him over the Jackass years. Even Knoxville who was a schadenfreude to Ehren, sometimes praising him sincerely and then going against him viciously, recognised his commitment to Jackass stunts, but then you had the likes of Bam and Steve-O belittled and treated him like dogshit throughout. At the very least Steve-O was willing to put his body on the line and is now somewhat embarrassed of his treatment of Ehren, but Bam was a bitch ass pussy, who should've been a bottom rung bitch due to him being the biggest coward of the bunch.
All I got to say is watching Jackass since it first ever aired, & through the movies, looked like Ehren was never part of the group & was always having to prove himself. He held his own & did some of the hardest stunts. Jackass 4ever he stole the show & made the newer cast see what an OG is all about. If you read this, Danger Ehren you were the man in the latest movie. Cried laughing.
I don't know about that. All the other cast members had stunts or performances. It still seem like they just like to torture Ehren. They did some serious damage to him. All intentional.
@@re1840 while its true that he was still tortured in Jackass Forever, it felt more like they were set pieces that allowed him to shine. Compared to other films or the show, a lot of his bullying in the past felt off the cuff. What i mean is, the Ehren segments felt like actual stunts this time. Whereas in the past, it felt more like they were picking on him on the side while everyone else got to have the spotlight. As they have discussed in the podcast, Ehren believes that he serves a role in the group. That Jackass NEEDS someone that can be picked on. His issue was more that, some cast mates were ACTUALLY bullying him when the cameras were off. Or he wasn't allowed to have stand out moments. Jackass Forever feels like the first time they treated his role as a professional job and not something personal or malicious.
I feel so sorry for him and he genuinely seems like a good dude who got taken advantage off for the sake of entertainment. Respect for SteveO for highlighting it and almost saying sorry to allow some forgiveness, as he said, even when the cameras weren't rolling. You can hear his anxiety floating around in his voice, God bless him. Keep up the good fight.
Clearly wasn't taken advantage of they all done this together, where they're making up whacky pranks to prank everyone on don't like it? Dip out but did he? Nope because this is his friend's hahahahaha I'd genuinely be pissed if I was one of the Jackass crew!
@Tom Van Loenen Irrelevant. He was asleep. It's not like he was lucid dreaming at the time & said "Hey, anyone who wants to piss on me in my sleep, just go ahead & do it."
Between the bear eating salmon out of his crotch and the cup montage, he absolutely showed his value in Forever. He's def always gotten it a bit more than others especially in the prank department but has shown the most resilience as a result. Appreciate all of your contributions and each of the injuries you guys all endured for the sake of our entertainment. Made my childhood a lot funnier and now with you guys still at it, have added laughs in the adults years as well, appreciate ya.
The cup test in forever was absolutely insane. Ehren totally stood out in forever and I feel awful that he felt this way throughout his career with Jackass.
Dude that bruise was no joke. From the softball. 😳 he took it all like a champ though but I did start to feel a little uncomfortable during some of his scenes because it felt too far at times
Coming from a family of pranksters (5 brothers no sisters) I can guarantee that the one who gets the most shit is the one who can handle the most shit. Mad respect for Ehren.
Coming from a family of pranksters (5 brothers no sisters) I can guarantee that the one who gets the most shit is the one who can handle the most shit. Mad respect for Ehren.
i just watched forever and i noticed he was the one getting pranked and hurt in like 50% of every clip on there. kinda bs, but he has a good outlook on it i guess
I guess but only to a certain extent . If it’s fuckin with his mental health and confidence, which it clearly is to some extent , nothings worth giving up your self respect. Even money and success.
How about the rest of that phrase he said? He didn't just stop there, he mentioned that it was ok to certain extent in that aspect, but when it starts to take it's toll, you tell the haters to "Fuck off" and you go do you. If Ehren ever left Jackass or or finally went off and beat one of the crew's asses, I'd stand behind him on it.
@@rossiniogates did you even watch the whole video? You couldn't stay for 9 minutes? He literally talks about all of that not effecting him and that he doesn't let it effect his life whatsoever. That he knows who he is and that he is successful and has millions of dollars and 9 houses.
@@tapset In a group where the dynamic is to fuck with each other, they weren't fucking with Ehren, they were legit bullying him and manipulating it by acting like it was part of the show. I legit feel for Ehren, dude probably suffered a lot in silence.
Ehren was the only one who wasn't a full on masochist. He doesn't enjoy pain and humiliation like the rest of them. Within their group, he was the outcast. That's also what made his stunts great.. not only did they make him do the worst shit, but you got to see his genuine fear during the stunt. This dude is a LEGEND!
Two things that I got out of this video: 1) Danger Ehren is a thoughtful introspective dude who’s really got his shit together. As a fan of the show and the Jackass movies, I’ve often cringed more at the way he gets treated than I have at the stunts. 2) The evolution of Steve-O just blows my mind. To have evolved from a self-destructive and self-indulgent maniac who I didn’t think would live to see another day into this thoughtful and insanely intelligent man who totally has his shit together is nothing short of a miracle and a gift from god. And the best part is that he’s still a maniac! Rock on boys! We love you!
Pretty obvious he’s anxious during this but it is very evident he knows himself well, and how to handle it. Being able to talk about it on this platform alone is huge. Good for him

If someone in your friend group is the "whipping boy" please stand up for them. One of my good friends from middle/high/college was that guy. He would get picked on and take it with a good natured laugh often saying he liked being that guy. He had a bad home life and was just happy to have some guys to hang out with. Deep down he didn't like being that guy and in time it wore him down. Looking back we could have been better to him. When a proposal to a girl didn't go the way he had planned, he closed his garage and left the car running. Just ran the engine until the exhaust fumes took him away. I still regret not standing up for him more.
@Negative creep dude, make fun of me all you want, but if there is a God, it’s obviously the one from the Bible. Based on all the religions, Israel’s God is clearly the most historically accurate, and on top of that, did miracles that clearly showcase his power. If you don’t belive that, okay, but still, to mock him is pretty bold.
@@No__feelings You have zero evidence that any of the supposed miracles he performed actually happened. There is nothing "obvious" or "clear" about it and you claiming that is nothing short of arrogant wich, according to the bible, is a sin. The only reason for anything in the bible being historicly accurate is because it is one of the youngest religions in the world and its writings have not been lost to time(as with many other, older religions) and the fact that it was written and re-written by men multiple times. I believe that there is a higher power, a "god" if you will but me, you and everyone else have no idea what he is like and i can almost guarantee that he is beyond our understanding. you should take a long hard look at yourself and you might see how your statements and preachings are not only arrogant but ignorant and go against what your god teaches. God is all knowing, but you are not. we are but a speck in an infinite universe and while we are here on earth we cannot be certain of what is true. It is good to have faith but just because you truly believe something does not make it fact. Peace.
This is quite heartbreaking to listen to after growing up with Jackass. I've also got the impression through watching that he was treated differently because of the fact he wore a helmet and called himself Danger Ehren but to actually hear him talking about it is makes me feel really bad for him having to have dealt with all that shit.
This guy has bigger balls than pretty much everyone else in jackass, some of the skits or stunts he's done. And good on Steve-o for mentioning this. I know Dave England was nice to him but he brought him onboard.
I was amazed by the way he acted when he genuinely thought that that taxi driver was going to kill him. "Dude if you kill me, I'll fucking...uhhh...I'll fucking...uhhh...I'll fucking find some way to get you back" Most people would've broken down at that point but he was already planning on how to come back from the afterlife and get his revenge
One of the clips that has always stuck in my mind from when I watched it when I was younger was when Bam was going around the set doing the “Rocky” bit with the glove and cup of water. Ehren actually took it upon himself to give him some back and as soon as he tried to “Rocky” Bam back, bam literally turned it into a full blown fight like an acutal bitch. Bam was the was the main instigator IMO and a full blown bully. Boy how karma swings around though.
That scene. I fucking hate it to this day. I wish someone had stood up for Erhen and sucker punched Bam back then. Bam was always down to dish out, but couldn't handle taking, and none of them seemed to have the balls to dish out some on Bam.
To be fair he literally hid behind a chain link fence and bam obviously seen him first and bam only hit him with the rocky glove, hardly a "full blown fight" but i agree with the fact he would dish it out but couldnt take it..
I saw an interview with Knoxville where he said Pontius was constantly threatening Ehren with his knife and/or hatchet and Tremaine would just take the knife/ hatchet away but give it back to him after a few minutes. I wonder how people would have reacted if Ehren had just punched someone and not in a prank way
He had reached that point with bam a few times, especiallybecause bam picked on everyone to make himself look cool but he was actually just a self centered prick. And poor Lance was the only one to break them up while everyone was laughing.

I remember watching Jackass as a kid and 100% noticing this man being bullied by his friends. I loved Jackass growing up but that left an impression. Very glad to see Steve-O bringing it up
This isn’t just a great Jackass interview, but a great video about bullying and life in general that reaches all ages. The support Steve-O expresses for Danger Ehren is actually kind of beautiful. There’s a camaraderie to Jackass, sure, but the friendship between these two is all love and respect. Ehren makes some great points too.
Cut the bs, where was that support when he was getting bullied? Steve-O could have stood up for Ehren and ended that then and there but he didn't. I bet he participated in it too.
@@charlespancamo9771 people don’t stand up for 2 reasons, they either don’t want to look “lame” In front of their friends or they could end up being the target of bullying themselves
I always felt bad for Ehren, as he seemed to *get* a lot more than he *gave* , and that Bam, more often than others, appeared to target Ehren in a way that seemed mean spirited. When I heard that the "pranks" would continue off camera, it pissed me off. Enduring pranks and stunts for movies and tv is one thing, but when someone is just fucking with you for their own amusement, that is abuse. I'm sure drugs and alcohol didn't help things.
Being a victim of bullying myself, I have throughout my life very much related to Danger Ehren’s plight. And he is very correct in the fact that if you don’t want to get picked on, you have to dish it out. I have also experienced this in my later years, going from being bullied to becoming the bully, simply because I wanted to feel in that position of power. It’s a regrettable act, as you should never pick on someone when you know how it feels; but as Ehren says, we are all human. Much love and respect for this man, he is a very pure and real man. Rather intelligent too
How about ending a good person and punish the bully in severe way? Severe Bullying turned me into a cold sadist. Now I bully the bullies in real life with my knife and much more and I thrive on it. You don’t need to bully innocent people to feel powerful about yourself, it’s pathetic and weakness, boosting your pathetic ego to feel better about yourself is pathetic. You get nothing from it, you will be a low scum…Just bully the bullies in severe way like I do. Let them taste their own medicine but in way severe way. I lost my friend by bullying by age 15 back then, since then I don’t have any remorse left for the bullies. I feel like the whole thing is Bam. Don't get me wrong alot of these guys got issues and even steve with his bullshit but Bam has been a mess for years ever since jackasses peak. So many issues with the guy its hard to imagine how he could not make life hard for some people. His TV show was literally about bothering he parents and showing off.
@@YUPTHATSGOODSOUP Yeah his parents basically let him do whatever he wanted all the time, and all his antics made him rich, so he has no self-control because he never had to learn to behave himself. Textbook case of what happens to a spoiled child when they grow up and have to become an adult, they put it off as long as possible and some never grow up.
Those two examples are different. Brandon Novak was a douchebag addicted to heroin, so he reaped what he sowed when it comes to drawing ire. Ehren was just a socially-awkward dude that got shit on for no reason other than he was insecure with himself.
Steve-O totally cutting Ehren off when he's trying to explain his feelings. Biggest problem Steve-O has is cutting off his guests or finishing their stories. He will literally ask his guest to tell the audience about a story and then cut the person off and tell the story from his perspective complete with how the person supposedly felt.

It’s pretty clear Ehren’s been the butt of a lot of the jokes over the course of Jackass. He seems like a pretty sweet and approachable guy and I could see myself in that position of being the odd man out. Danger Ehren forever!

As much as the cast and crew tend to downplay Ehren's involvement, the dude is a good sport about it all. He embraced his role as the whipping boy of the group with a smile. Also, if you watch his work on Jackass he has landed more tricks than most of the other cast.
I don't like that "good sport" comment because it seems like the victim is being gaslighted. Even in 2000s when they were on MTV, Ehren was always the target and still was til jackass 3. He's right, everyone does get tired of the same shtick, but seeing as his only income was being the "victim" in his films, he had to embrace that path. It's sad, n needs to be addressed more

Ehren has been conditioned to ignore the negativity & he's tougher than everyone that's bullying him because of it. His sheer determination, blunt honesty and big heart is very endearing and he is seriously one of the best members of the crew. I am glad to hear that he doesnt let the bullying get to him too much, inspirational af!
I never thought they were that self aware, i felt wierd about a few of the guys for their treatment of him, but to see them talk about it, man, after all these years it felt like a conversation that needed to happen. Their stories carry such an insane bond, happy to grow up with jackass✊
I honestly got to say Danger has always been one of my favorite cast members. Dude has always been humble, legit, honest human being. Anything I've ever watched with him he's always the same exact person. I'd kill to hang with dude one day and pick his brain on his thought processes. Dude is super genuine.
I like what Steve-O is doing with this show. He’s matured and become introspective in a meaningful way and in my opinion, has come out of it better than the rest. Super cool guy! I loved all their stuff with Jackass and glad that at least most of them are still with us. Great job Steve-O!
But that's just it, you're not a top dude if you go on a podcast and brag about your 9 houses. Sounds no different than every other snob in Hollywood bragging about money
I completely understand why he's frustrated about getting bullied. That's very sad to hear and very uncalled for by the jackass crew if they were truly doing that to him. But going on a podcast and bragging that you have 9 houses doesn't solve anything, it just kind if makes you sound like a douche. I have to be honest here
@@mmv3345 I've only watched this clip and not the whole podcast, so correct me if I'm wrong... But Ehren didn't bring up the '9 houses', he repeated it while doing a jerkoff gesture. He seemed pretty self aware of the comment to me.
@@tehmarok I disagree completely man. He said he doesn't care what anyone thinks of him "because he has 9 houses". It's a straight up Hollywood douche comment in my opinion. I cant stand comments like that and I'll never support it. The funny thing is he was always one of my least favorite cast members, and now after listening to his 9 houses comment, I like him even less.
I went through a similar situation with a group of friends about 15 years ago, when you have low confidence and self esteem it makes you an easy target, it's only years later you realise they were never really your friends. Once you start becoming more successful in life and your confidence increases people start respecting you more. I'm friends with a couple of those guys now and we get on great but it's funny, like Steve-O here they never want to admit they were the main perpetrator, it must be a guilt thing.
I mean bam margera is straight up the nastiest bully you can imagine, no wonder that ehren is traumatized The other guys took part in it too but Bam was definitely the main bully, not only against ehren
They made him able to afford the 9 houses he talks about going off to. This dude did get picked on a lot by people like bam but at the same time he could have just walked away and had nothing to do with them at all. No one FORCED him to just take it. Sock one of them in the mouth when you feel like shut crossed the line. Don’t woe-is-me about it a decade later.
I don't know much but wasn't Ehren from a Religious home? When I saw the show I got the impression that he liked being with the guys, but at the same time he made sure he wouldn't do anything his parents wouldn't like, which people took a piss at him. I mean, they were called Jack-asses for a reason. They basically pushed him to do sins, in the view of Religious people, which can be a bit traumatized if you are born into such things.
I appriciate I appriciate Steve O for recognizing his friends struggle and commends him for being such a trooper. Also he was not involved in the bullying.
I have definitely noticed the way they treated him over the years. I give him props for staying around and earning his spot movie after movie. Much love bro! You have more fans than you know.
After seeing Jackass 4, I literally told my wife, "Danger Ahren held that movie on his back." That Cup Check was one of the gnarliest things I've ever seen. You're one of the greats of the crew, man.
Totally he was the stand out in this movie brilliant well done to him.
Yeah, his stunts where crazy, that bear one!! Scary as hell

@@Felix-jz9mq they all got paid for it but he clearly got picked on more than the others.
Awww, he got picked on a little bit while making hundreds of thousands of dollars?.. cry me a river.
What stuck with me was the clip on 3.5 (I think?) when Bam punched Ehren who got beaten up and the other cast were cheering Bam to beat up Ehren more.
Danger Ehren’s revenge would be a great premise for a stunt.
New movie on the way
It should be the opening gag before the title card
It should be the final segment. Ehren fucking with everyone with an epic prank.
Ehren Was the man in Forever, dude carried the whole movie on his shoulders. Props to him.
He probably realised he was one of the few original cast members who could still do a lot of the harder stuff and thought "screw it, go out with a bang and get more money for more screen time", good on him I say!

Class act.

If you read this, Danger Ehren you were the man in the latest movie. Cried laughing.
Yup. Loved how Ehren got his shine. Wish they included the other guys of odd future more
I don't know about that.
It's kind of a mind fuck for me so all apologies.

You don’t need to do this dude….Or you will meet a guy like me and it won’t end up good for you….I am not kidding….Later you’re going to bully someone wrong person and you’re done for it. I am a disturbed person in real life people are scared of my intimidated cold looks…Be a good person to the innocent people or one day you will face a person like me….Have a nice day.

Yeah then when they turned it on Bam he would cry about it all the time like a little bitch
duh
Those two examples are different. Brandon Novak was a douchebag addicted to heroin, so he reaped what he sowed when it comes to drawing ire. Ehren was just a socially-awkward dude that got shit on for no reason other than he was insecure with himself.
Steve-O totally cutting Ehren off when he's trying to explain his feelings. Biggest problem Steve-O has is cutting off his guests or finishing their stories. He will literally ask his guest to tell the audience about a story and then cut the person off and tell the story from his perspective complete with how the person supposedly felt.
Not a hot take you’re just hyper sensitive and need to go outside and talk to someone face to face
Yeah I’ve noticed that too. He tends to cut people off a lot.

Steve-O seems like he’s trying to convince himself and Ehren that he didn’t participate in the bullying lol
This is the comment I was looking for. Also, had Steve-O witnessed what was happening to their "friend" and did nothing to stop it, hes just as bad. I love jackass but this is definitely a blight on what it was. So goddamn cringy when watching.
@@Josh729J yes, I agree. I love Steve-O and I’m very proud of how far he’s come, considering how bad his substance abuse was. However, this seems like a very important past wrong that needs to be made right. He's the most self aware, and mature one in the whole group.
Yea i could definitely sense the negativity and bullying towards Ehren during Jackass. The other guys would talk down to him a lot and he seemed like an easy target.
He earned it when he opened his mouth
why is that?
What about Preston? And Wee Man? Those guys were always humiliated
@@ssy12335 true, Preston & wee man got abused because of their sizes, but in my opinion the rest of the crew still embraced them as one of the boys, i never got this feeling with Ehren, he only really seemed to be close to Dave England and maybe a couple of others.
Finally it’s talked about. I always noticed this when I was younger watching Jackass, and I honestly figure Ehren wasn’t going to be around Jackass too long because of it. Glad he stuck it through and hung with the boys, possibly doing some of the more crazier stunts in all of Jackass
It’s pretty clear Ehren’s been the butt of a lot of the jokes over the course of Jackass. He seems like a pretty sweet and approachable guy and I could see myself in that position of being the odd man out. Danger Ehren forever!

Yeah... it really hard to say. Being passive and sucking it up is simultaneously easy and hard to do. It certainly doesn't get you laid. I always thought Ehren deserved way more recognition. He was always right in the thick of it, keeping up with everyone else and taking the hits. But with the added pressure of being the target of the whole crew. I don't know how he managed to stick it out and keep being a good sport the whole way through, but he's tough as hell

I'm just gonna flat out say that danger E is one of the straight out strongest jackass dudes. He not only did his job and did crazy stunts and got hurt, but he stayed apart of the group even though they REALLY picked on him, bullied him and made him feel like he's lower then them,,and I wouldnt even say bully, they straight up hazed him in front of millions of people and he just took it and delt with it, although we can see in this interview how much it really hurt him inside.Props to him for sure

Ehren, if by any chance you read this, you are a fucking awesome person and have always been my favorite part of Jackass. An actual legend on earth.
Ehren's over acting and flopping would irritate me in the early Jackass seasons. But as time went on and the movies came out, it's easy to say that he's done or been put through some of the most intense and sick stunts/sketches they've put out. Much respect to Danger Ehren. I appreciate the sacrifice and commitment you've gone through to make us laugh.

Bro he totally landed most of the crazy shit! Thought I was the only one who noticed
