I tried different ways. At home. At the beach. In the mountains. It's best to do it where you feel safe. It might be mountains for you. But at night at home is the most spiritual experience. Other options just give a lot of sensory input and I'm not into visuals that much.

But after about 2 months, I felt like I was starting to get back to baseline. It's a process, but definitely worth it. Don not by ANY means mistake what I am saying for a lack of withdrawal. The shrooms took the desire to use completely away and put things into perspective for me after that I went to rehab for tje miilionth time for 30 days and haven't had a craving or desire to use since. To most people it’s almost laughable to hear someone say you can be addicted to porn but that’s because it’s such a taboo topic. People think it’s a natural thing. Many studies are now showing that it’s releasing dopamine in the brain the same way that Heroin and cocaine do.

Can confirm. Shrooms made me stop drinking smoking and vaping. I was a weekend drinker for so long, so I wasn’t addicted but shrooms even took away the urge. Now if I do partake, I just don’t feel good if I drink or smoke. I definitely enjoyed drinking but since I don’t have an urge, I don’t miss it.
I've used shrooms to help with mental health/addiction. It wasn't a clinical setting with professionals. It didn't help with addiction but it did help with depression/anxiety.
I took a drop of LSD 13 days ago and haven't smoked since. I started smoking at 12 years old and have been a heavy smoker for most of the 32 years that I've smoked. I believed it would be impossible to quit. It was difficult to go an hour without a cigarette. There was no therapy or professionals that went with my trip, but there were a lot of thoughts and fears of smoking related health issues and death for months leading up to this LSD trip, which was actually done alone, in the woods by a river (probably not recommended for everybody). I have tripped several times in the months of negative thoughts, but this was the only time the negative thoughts severely impacted my trip. It was an intense evening where I believed that I would be dying in the near future if I continued smoking. I've had minimal withdrawal symptoms and know that I'll never smoke again. I think this is my one chance to quit. The LSD has definitely played a huge part, and I wouldn't disrespect it by starting again.

I have been addicted to various drugs for years... and lately have had suicidal ideation for the past 3 yesrs regarding intentionally overdosing on heroin/any mu agonist really lol. Well first off, micro dosing helps out a shit ton, but high doses won't really do much I've realized. I was a heavy drinker to the point where the moment I wake up I need a shot or at least 2 beers 7.5% abv or higher for me to even want to eat, and I've gotta say after eating .5 grams in the morning and .5 at night for a week and I've literally lost the urge to wake up and drink. Last time I quit cold turkey I sent myself to the er with hardcore withdrawals my blood pressure was 40/160 which are really fucked numbers to have. Point being I've never been able to really stop drinking or at least lower my consumption on my own. So I've gotta say the mushies work in small doses for sure

I have struggled with opiods after 5 back surgeries and long term pain management on pills. I quit but my mind never seems to heal. My natural ability to experience pleasure seems to be broken. I'm hoping a shrooms session can reset my natural mind
Unfortunately I know a man who has had little to no effect besides his self delusions of being "enlightened". He's become distant from his friends including myself. He hardly spends time with his own son. He has no sex or social life now because its "unimportant." He has picked up chain smoking both cigarettes and pot strangely. The strain is albino penis envy at 2 grams. He went from having positive results with his depression once a month. But now hes doing these once or twice a week and its having negative effects on him. It's like talking to a wall sometimes its frustrating. I've called a drug counselor, my sister who knows him, and a mutual friend of ours for answers. I'm still waiting on calls back. But the mutual friend we spoke 5 hours last night on the situation. We're both seeing the same things. Hes become a different man and is distancing himself. This same friend told me he has started manipulating conversations to belittle and defame people to their face. I was shocked to hear that and this friend gave cohoberating experiences to what I have seen with him. I'm used to loss in my life and I dont want to cut him out but its tempting given what I was told. One example is I told him how I talked my mother out of suicide. He then goes past what I said and told me it was unimportant. That's all he says anymore with anything. His ex is unimportant, his job is unimportant, and so on. I'm worried about his son because his only family is his dad. I no longer recognize this once great man. My words mean nothing to him anymore. Hes so self absorbed and nihilistic about the world he doesnt believe in voting or religion or money or anything outside of these shrooms. I've sat next to him and watched him take these out of curiosity. I honestly did not notice any change in his behavior until the following day. He would claim all these things happened that frankly I never saw him do. He would act completely normal, next day, then claim he astral projected you name it. Idk what to make of that. I've known people who take them and quit smoking, cure depression, you name it. But this guy has an unhealthy obsession with them that's negatively affecting his life. It's also very expensive as well. Hes sank thousands into this which has truly shocked me. But then again money has no meaning to him. Well good luck paying your bill's and feeding your family with that mindset. His vehicles, of which he has 2, need new tires, shocks, you name it. 5 months "oh I'll fix that." He gets the money and blows it all on these shrooms instead of his cars. His kid anymore just locks himself in his room and has no interaction with his dad. And this part really got to me. Hes now giving his dog these shrooms which have caused severe vomiting and diarrhea. The poor thing became lethargic as well. I'm getting to the point where frustration is turning into anger, and I dont like that. I've said my piece. Whatever feedback I would sincerely appreciate it.

My psych counselor ended my sessions because she said I'm in excellent condition mentally. I've recovered from the gaslighting and due to my hob being in the public, it helped me heal because I realized nobody supports what this man is doing or believes. His eyes are beady and glazed over now. He is very scruffy and unkempt unlike how he used to be. No woman wants anything do due with him with good reason. He is a mess. I've had 12 people tell me the same thing, avoid him. 2 cops, 1 doctor, 1 pharmacist, 1 Xray tech, 3 RNs, and 2 retired military I work with too. I've even had my boss and customers tell me laughing out loud, "Holy sh!t man that's a trip and a half." Or they go, "Why be sober right? If he tries something just call the cops." Which btw they are on hair trigger alert for him if he tries something.

But after about 2 months, I felt like I was starting to get back to baseline. It's a process, but definitely worth it. Don not by ANY means mistake what I am saying for a lack of withdrawal. I took a drop of LSD 13 days ago and haven't smoked since.
I started smoking at 12 years old and have been a heavy smoker for most of the 32 years that I've smoked. I believed it would be impossible to quit. It was difficult to go an hour without a cigarette.
There was no therapy or professionals that went with my trip, but there were a lot of thoughts and fears of smoking related health issues and death for months leading up to this LSD trip, which was actually done alone, in the woods by a river (probably not recommended for everybody). I have tripped several times in the months of negative thoughts, but this was the only time the negative thoughts severely impacted my trip. It was an intense evening where I believed that I would be dying in the near future if I continued smoking.
I've had minimal withdrawal symptoms and know that I'll never smoke again. I think this is my one chance to quit. The LSD has definitely played a huge part, and I wouldn't disrespect it by starting again.
My whole family smoked since i was born. I started smoking when i was 14.
1 session on mushrooms and i quit. Each time i remember myself smoking, it feels like it's someone else, not me. It's a dissociation from that persona that was addicted. I was also addicted to porn (masturbation with that) and an addiction to coffee.

This might save my life. I have been addicted to various drugs for years... and lately have had suicidal ideation for the past 3 yesrs regarding intentionally overdosing on heroin/any mu agonist really lol. Well first off, micro dosing helps out a shit ton, but high doses won't really do much I've realized. I was a heavy drinker to the point where the moment I wake up I need a shot or at least 2 beers 7.5% abv or higher for me to even want to eat, and I've gotta say after eating .5 grams in the morning and .5 at night for a week and I've literally lost the urge to wake up and drink. Last time I quit cold turkey I sent myself to the er with hardcore withdrawals my blood pressure was 40/160 which are really fucked numbers to have. Point being I've never been able to really stop drinking or at least lower my consumption on my own. So I've gotta say the mushies work in small doses for sure

I too discovered this unhealthy relationship I have with dopamine for years. And it’s over, I just know it is. I think psilocybin just has this ability to help people put an end to thing. Pick themselves up and live lives.

Unfortunately I know a man who has had little to no effect besides his self delusions of being "enlightened". He's become distant from his friends including myself. He hardly spends time with his own son. He has no sex or social life now because its "unimportant." He has picked up chain smoking both cigarettes and pot strangely. The strain is albino penis envy at 2 grams. He went from having positive results with his depression once a month. But now hes doing these once or twice a week and its having negative effects on him. It's like talking to a wall sometimes its frustrating. I've called a drug counselor, my sister who knows him, and a mutual friend of ours for answers. I'm still waiting on calls back. But the mutual friend we spoke 5 hours last night on the situation. We're both seeing the same things. Hes become a different man and is distancing himself. This same friend told me he has started manipulating conversations to belittle and defame people to their face. I was shocked to hear that and this friend gave cohoberating experiences to what I have seen with him. I'm used to loss in my life and I dont want to cut him out but its tempting given what I was told. One example is I told him how I talked my mother out of suicide. He then goes past what I said and told me it was unimportant. That's all he says anymore with anything. His ex is unimportant, his job is unimportant, and so on. I'm worried about his son because his only family is his dad. I no longer recognize this once great man. My words mean nothing to him anymore. Hes so self absorbed and nihilistic about the world he doesnt believe in voting or religion or money or anything outside of these shrooms. I've sat next to him and watched him take these out of curiosity. I honestly did not notice any change in his behavior until the following day. He would claim all these things happened that frankly I never saw him do. He would act completely normal, next day, then claim he astral projected you name it. Idk what to make of that. I've known people who take them and quit smoking, cure depression, you name it. But this guy has an unhealthy obsession with them that's negatively affecting his life. It's also very expensive as well. Hes sank thousands into this which has truly shocked me. But then again money has no meaning to him. Well good luck paying your bill's and feeding your family with that mindset. His vehicles, of which he has 2, need new tires, shocks, you name it. 5 months "oh I'll fix that." He gets the money and blows it all on these shrooms instead of his cars. His kid anymore just locks himself in his room and has no interaction with his dad. And this part really got to me. Hes now giving his dog these shrooms which have caused severe vomiting and diarrhea. The poor thing became lethargic as well. I'm getting to the point where frustration is turning into anger, and I dont like that. I've said my piece. Whatever feedback I would sincerely appreciate it.

@Zee Aye No to all of it. He is paranoid and delusional about the government spying on him etc. I'm done with him. My psych counselor ended my sessions because she said I'm in excellent condition mentally. I've recovered from the gaslighting and due to my hob being in the public, it helped me heal because I realized nobody supports what this man is doing or believes. I would also like to add since I posted that comment a lot happened. So put it brief as possible he openly admitted to fantasizing about raping my niece and half sister. My niece is going through a divorce and my half sister is happily married. The audacity of this man and his abuse and delusions is palpable. He truly believes what he is saying without any proof. His eyes are beady and glazed over now. He is very scruffy and unkempt unlike how he used to be. No woman wants anything do due with him with good reason. He is a mess. I've had 12 people tell me the same thing, avoid him. 2 cops, 1 doctor, 1 pharmacist, 1 Xray tech, 3 RNs, and 2 retired military I work with too. I've even had my boss and customers tell me laughing out loud, "Holy sh!t man that's a trip and a half." Or they go, "Why be sober right? If he tries something just call the cops." Which btw they are on hair trigger alert for him if he tries something.
