Cigarettes and alcohol addiction actually destroyed my life. I could remember several years ago after divorce with my husband which brought me into my disastrous journey on Alcohol and cigarettes. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

I would like to know from those who have solved PTSD and anxiety, if they have solved it definitively and how to understand what quantity of psilocybin to take and when, for how long. And can you really heal without having an addiction?
Thanks to everyone for helping me understand, I want to understand if it's
something that can help me solve the problem (I have c-ptsd)

Somebody suggested to me some years ago I try the combo of whiskey and cigars. I was drinking occasionally up until then but never really smoked. (Had tried a few times cigarettes, but nothing major). Either way, so the first time I had the combo I kind of enjoyed it, but it wasn't that cool. Then the second time, I definitely appreciated it more. And then a few more times down the line (this was all during a few months period), I was really starting to get into it. The combination of a good whiskey and a quality cigar was really starting to get charming for me.
I remember, one evening, when I was just planning to hit it again, I suddenly realized that if I don't stop the cigar thing RIGHT now - I will get addicted to it. And then one addiction can lead to another and then I would really be in trouble.
After that moment I had never had a glass of whiskey with a cigar any more. In fact I haven't had even a standalone cigar or any nicotine products at all.
Watching your video here makes me think - damn, that was a good decision that evening.

Thanks for this. It's been exactly 8 days, seems like such a little time but in my head it seems like an entire lifetime. You don't realize how evil smoking can be, it was created to solve a problem that was created by nicotine in the first place just coz some fart wanted to make money😒 I constantly remind myself that I was not born with a cigarette in my mouth so why's this so hard? Then it hits me, smoking has been a part of my life and such a big part of who I am for over 15 years so of course it'll make me feel some kind of way, I need to be more patient with myself. This is really hard but I know it will be worth it. I now watch videos like these each time I crave for some inspiration and it really works. Thank you sir for sharing your experience with us. I genuinely feel that if I could go 8 days without smoking then I can see this to the end and I can do ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING!!! And that feeling, I will remind myself of each time I want to light up. Good luck to those who are on the same journey and to those who have never smoked before, don't ever start, it's never worth it❤️

Although initially it's helpful to build up an association with disgust everytime you think you want a cigarette and cement that thought process into a habit through persistent repetition. Regular exercise in tandem with this helps massively, and a clean diet. Eventually you'll feel great through these wholesome lifestyle changes, and that coupled with the disgust-association you've built up will soon make the very idea of a smoking seem appalling; you'll soon laugh at the absurdity of being controlled by such a strange and pathological habit

It may seem like a long time, but there is an end point and it gets better as time goes by. To fight off the cravings I would conjure up a cigarette monster and fought with it rather then beat myself up for not having the will power. Just keep remembering that this is an ADDICTION not a habit and to end it takes work and willingness to stop it. YOU CAN DO IT!

I smoked from 14 to 35 years old, in the last years I smoked an average of 30 cigarettes a day (1 pack and a half).
I gave my life to Jesus, and I felt the need not to smoke or consume alcohol anymore, with the alcoholic drink it was overnight, I threw away what I had of beer and cachaça at home... !
I agreed with my wife to try to smoke the least amount of cigarettes I could in one day so with a lot of effort on my part I smoked 12 cigarettes, for one week she gave me 12 cigarettes every day for me to consume, the other week it was 11 cigarettes a day day, the other 10... and each week it decreased by 1 per day.
everything was going well, until it reached 4 cigarettes... I started stealing cigarettes from her, and ended up smoking 7, 8 cigarettes a day. until one day that during a prayer I was sincere to God, and said that I couldn't stop smoking and that I didn't really have the strength and that I really wanted to and asked God to help me and take the pleasure of smoking from me...
One day inside the church during a preaching that a pastor was doing, I heard a voice speaking in my ear clearly; - "So far I've let you try, to show that you're not capable. From today you don't smoke because I don't want to!
I was so scared that when my wife told me what I had heard, she saw in me a frightened and admired person, who started to cry because she saw that I was not delirious.
Upon leaving the church my car had been broken into and my documents and my wife's documents had been stolen, along with the vehicle's sound. But I knew that if I got over that nervousness and anger I felt at seeing my car like that I wouldn't smoke anymore (it was like a test to confirm my convictions in the voice I heard).
I called my wife and we went home , I took everything I had connected to tobacco ( tobacco , paper , lighter , matches , cigarette pack ....) I put it on a piece of paper and rolled it up we went to the street, and on a sidewalk I threw alcohol and I prayed to God; - Lord, trusting the voice I heard today I know that I will no longer feel like smoking, in Jesus name I set fire to all these elements linked to cigarettes!
And by the honor and glory of God I was freed, in the name of Jesus!

Quite honestly, nicotine is a very strong addiction. It should be handled as an addiction. Inpatient treatment first, meetings, counseling. We treat smokers with "aides" and send them home to do it on their own. Do we do this with cocaine addiction? "Here ya go, here's some replacement drugs, go home and use them." An addict is going to go home with good intentions and then use nicotine.

I am on the 6th day of my quit. I am 58 and had been smoking since I was 15. A bad bronchial chest infection got me to finally call it a day. Unlike past attempts to quit, this time has been relatively painless. Probably because when the threat of permanent and debilitating conditions like emphysema become real, it provides real motivation.

Every min of the day while working from home. My blood pressure was 170/120. Almost stroke level. Now been 2 days vape free and my BP is normal. Using mini lozenges for now but I'm done. Have to! It's all mental. you have to really decide to be done with it forever.

People can see that and always comment that I should quit and while Caughing my head off I raise my hand and tell em you're right, I need to quit smoking and that I have the patches and the nicotine Lozenges and Gum for sessation but the Nicotine Addiction is so strong I still smoke while wearing a Patch. When I woke up this morning I had one cigarette in the pack and I smoked it. That's been over 2 hours ago. I haven't wanted another because I'm still Caughing now for 2 hours and I'm scared that my Lungs are getting worse. I'm trying to convince myself not to buy another pack of Cigarettes so my Lungs can heal and so I can Breath Easier. Thanks for stepping up Jeff. Thanks for your Candor. I'm looking for inspiration. Everyone is different so I don’t know what your withdrawal will be like and you smoked a lot longer than me, but whatever it is you can get through it, I promise. Just got to be tough with it. I tell myself I’ve made it through so much in life that I can get through this too, I tell myself not to be mentally weak, fuck it, it sucks but this too shall pass. 62 is that age where things get scary health wise, so it’s best you just quit, I believe in you.

I smoke anywhere up to 80 a day, I’ve tried champix but then as soon as I stopped I was smoking again, patches, gum, hypnotherapy twice, coke turkey the works and nothings working. I know I CAN do it but the fear of feeling the withdrawal pain especially with 5 children who have autism and adhd at me all day and night it gets so frustrating and I don’t want to take my withdrawals out on them. Even as I’m smoking I have cravings in my throat that’s driving me insane, this feeling in my throat never goes away. And all it does is depress me more because I hate smoking I never have to be honest. Can’t stand the taste, the smell, the cost, the breathing problems. Everyone knows the dangers - but lets not lie to ourselves - smoking has benefits - first of all - you look look smoking. Second, it comes you down - atleast temerarity (after 10+ minutes you actually get rebound anxiaty), Cigarettes make you think sharper - your brain works better. There is a cognitive effect. I heart this one thing - "Smokers hate themselves" , and thats true - that lung cancer or heart disease is not worth a slight buzz and smokes that cost $13+ per pack.

Every Cigarette packet has a warning sign "Smoking is injurious to health / it causes cancer... " almost all the smokers are educated enough to read and understand what it means. BUT there is a problem. Every time when a smoker when read these warnings on the cigarette pack , he understand that this warning is for rest of the world. this will not happen to him, or he think that he will quit before anything get worse.
Some smokers are daring enough to think that let us enjoy the smoke now if anything happens, they will deal with it by getting best of the treatment and solve the problem.
This is the problem that every smoker think that this warning sign is not for him but for rest of this world. and when a test report arrives, the smoker find it in shock and realize that ohh no this warning sign was for him actually. after the test report smoker think and says Ohh god why i was such a fool ? why i did not understand these warning signs each time i bought a new packet, i saw these warning signs clearly. why did i smoke? if i could go back in time and reverse this mistake. but now nothing can be done.
So most of the smokers understand the reality when the nightmare come true and its already very late.
its not just the cancer, Please know that there are two extremely bad diseases which happens to smokers specifically i.e. COPD (/Emphysema) and Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) , in which the smoker dies a very bad death. he cough and cough and cough ... ironically for those smokers who thought that they can deal the after effect of smoking and can get best of the treatments and use their money and technology, its a bad news for them, because the doctors cant help in this. COPD/IPF are not reversible. if its detected in the test report your death is sure within 5 years. Further in these cases the quality of life is extremely bad and very uncomfortable for the smoker and for his loved ones.
My friends , plz google out and understand how the above diseases happens what it does. this is not cancer but if its detected the death is sure by coughing and doctor can not help much but delays the death for few months more for coughing up more.
Further let me tell you one thing, please do not rely much on doctors and the technology. they do not have cure for the cancer till date (Its 2018 at present). they just know how to operate scissors and amputations. if you get cancer in lungs they will cut it out , you get cancer in bladder they will cut it out and insert a pipe in your stomach for urination.
Plz trust me There is no medicine discovered yet that you take a course of it and your cancer is cure. the only cure for cancer is that you cut a part of yourself or die.
Why do you think that you smoke and hospital can save you ? many times you will find doctors are idiots who are just making a fortune on your death bed, and the solutions they are able to provide is to cut a part of you and through it off.
Please understand, These warning signs are REAL. Do not think that these signs are for rest of the world and not for you. if you are smoking than these warning signs are definitely for you. Quit smoking before it makes you quit everything you love...
Also Please under stand , the only way to quit smoking is to quit cold turkey. its difficult but its the only way. Ask any Ex-smoker that how he did quit successfully, you will find that one day he just stopped smoking and never looked back (That is all Cold Turkey). Further the best time to quit smoking is to quit now. Tomorrow never comes for an addiction to quit.
It is always now is the best time to quit and never take another puff. keep sticking to to commitment.
For more understanding, visit the website WHYQUIT.COM . there you will find lots of understanding of how thousands of people made successful journey of quitting cold turkey and also it will be a great help during your first 3 to 6 days to cop up with the withdrawal symptoms and the craving episodes. after a week time or 10 days it will be easier and after month time you will start forgetting that you were ever a smoker.
Once you quit cold turkey, after 2-3 months many time you will not remember that you were ever a smoker.
(But please note that as soon as you take one puff of cigarette even after a long term quit, it will stimulate and reactivate thousands of the lost memory of smoking times and the brain will starts craving for one more puff and than more and more .... THIS IS WHAT AN ADDICTION MEANS).
Therefore after quitting smoking in cold turkey way, it is sure that you will start forgetting that your were ever a smoker and you will be living your life like a normal person. But you should always know that there will always be a difference that you are an EX-smoker and you are not a Non-smoker. Since non-smoker does not know the test of smoking. But when an Ex-smoker take a single puff , his brain immediately want more puffs.
Therefore remember this for now and forever ..
    NEVER TAKE ANOTHER PUFF

Swedish snus is the best way to quit smoking. Instant replacement with harmless habit.
As for warnings. You know the really sick thing about those warnings? Through the process of conditioning, the warning becomes a trigger for smoking because every smoker reads seconds before they feel the pleasure rush of the cigarette.
Just like seeing the food can or hearing a can opener makes a dog start to drool.
So the warning is doing the opposite to what non smokers expect.
But I reject the idea that smokers think it will only happen to others. I would often wonder how long I have left, what sort of cancer it will be, how much it will hurt, if I will get enough morphine to be able to overdose in my sleep (already decided I will reject chemo, surgery or radiation.) some really are just willing to take the risk, knowing it could be therm.
In fact, perhaps it is nonsmokers who are a bit delusional? Many seem to believe that if they avoid all the "bad" habits then death will never come for them. This is a big driving factor in veganism.
