Hey, I think I know what you’re talking about. Those were the old version of the lights I’m guessing and the app probably had a couple updates since that video was released. All the Govee led light strips use the “Govee Home app”. Some lights have more built in features than others as well. These RGBIC lights are the best led lights to get in my opinion, they have a lot more cool and interesting features than the other led lights. If you want to get these ones specifically make sure you get the Govee dream color lights. Hope this helped!

you cant control the leds individually, but you can control "segments" of three leds individually, meaning you can have multiple colours on the same strip at the same time. Almost like argb but this is rgb-ic
Can you connect your iphone on a speaker while on music mode? cause it only seems to work while the music is coming from my phone and not a speaker (on bluetooth)
You can. I’m the video I was playing the music off my computer. Just make sure the music source is close to the remote attached to the speaker, that’s there the mic is. Also turn up your sensitivity for the music mode as well. Hope this helped!

I think I know what you mean. Once you change the mode on the lights it will stay like that even if you turn off your phone. Just make sure the music mode is turned on and then connect to your Bluetooth speaker. I think some phones can connect to multiple Bluetooth devices as well.
Can u change the color of the presets? Like for example Siren, instead of having it blue and red could u change it to like orange and green but still have the moving effect?
Just oreded some in the sale, ive decided to install a strip around the top of my ceiling so it defuses the light and looks a little more integrated. Will be a pain of a job, especially as the power cord is rediculously short. Govee could make a fortunte in extension kits... just saying.
The one shown in the video does not support wifi, so it must be connected to Bluetooth from your phone each time you want to connect to it. They disconnect when not in range. That also does not connect to Alexa or Google, or any Bluetooth speaker. I have the exact one from the video.

Thanks! Quite the effort! I work overnights so it took a couple of weekends to hang the track. The LED strip was simple itself. Unfortunately the 2 strips do not connect. In fact the 32ft variation is two 16ft strips on a Y splitter. Took some finnaglin but I made the "extra" work in my favor. =3
Do these put off heat or get hot to the touch at all? I want to put them in a glass display case to light up my anime figures but I'm afraid if it puts out heat it will get too hot in an enclosed area. Thanks for your time.
i covered mine with led diffusers and they look leagues cooler. Personally i find the led bulbs rawdog like that hella ugly, diffuse it and it's 1000x cooler with smooth transitions
I just bought some and wrapped them around my wall shelves. I think the effects work better when the strips are laid out straight along walls but too many turns kind of make the patterns hard to see. Maybe I’ll run them along my wall like you did. But I bought them to highlight my shelves?!?
I think they are worth it. They are a great source of light and really help set a vibe in your room. If you get them from Amazon you can always return them before 30 days (just don’t stick them on your wall until you’re sure you wanna keep them). u just use your phone to change the colors. for the music mode, the controller that wall mounts with the lights have a mic in them to pic up music for music mode.
Hey! I am using the speakers on my computer (I don't own an Alexa). The lights have a mic on the little white controller that comes attached to the lights so make sure you put them close to where you will be playing the music for the best results.

Yes, you can set the music mode to one color. If you’re looking for a lighting to match your movies/tv shows, I recommend the Govee Flow Pros. I’m making a video on them soon.
Heads up: You said you could control it with Alexa, but you linked the bluetooth only version. To my understanding you need the wifi version (different model) to use it with Alexa.

I've been shopping for RGB LEDs for my TV, my computer desk, my computer monitors and my sofa (all in the same room). GOVEE is on top of my list atm, but i'm curious how good are their whites? I want to be able to do RGB but being able to have regular white would be neat too if i want something a little more clean and relax. EDIT: Of course i just had to watch the video first.
The whites are either too blue or yellow. There isn’t a nice clean white that I can pull out from these. However, I mostly have them on orange so it doesn’t matter to me that much.

Did you buy the correct lights? They’re supposed to be the Govee dream color lights. If you do then when you open the app it should be at the bottom. Let me know what app update you’re on
When I go the music section on the app, the settings for rhythm and everything doesnt appear. Nor does the mic that shows you its listening. Ive allowed permissions to mic and still nothing. My brother has the same lights/app I use, and it works fine for him.

Good question. They do pretty good job but they’re not going to replace your main light in a pitch black room. They’re bright enough to let you read and do other activities. I use them when I’m on my computer, reading, watching videos etc. Overall they’re really good lights, you should get them if you can.
I bought the exact one you have and my music is synced but it still be a little off beat sometimes and it doesn't change different directions like yours because they recently updated the app. So I don't have energic or any of them. Just Dynamic and calm and that doesn't do much
Hmm that’s weird. For the music, I would say move the mic closer to your music source and turn the sensitivity all the way up on the app. Contact Govee regarding the app losing those features. I don’t think that’s normal because those were some of the best features.

They are the best, but they are very expensive for 65 feet because it is 80 dollars, you can get normal 60 foot led lights for 20-30 dollars
They do get pretty expensive the longer they get but i think they’re worth it. Still the lights from the video and they work great.

I know I'm late to this but does this app work for any other led lights?
I bought the exact one you have and my music is synced but it still be a little off beat sometimes and it doesn't change different directions like yours because they recently updated the app. So I don't have energic or any of them. Just Dynamic and calm and that doesn't do much
Hmm that’s weird. For the music, I would say move the mic closer to your music source and turn the sensitivity all the way up on the app. Contact Govee regarding the app losing those features. I don’t think that’s normal because those were some of the best features.

I have everything except the spectrum and gradient option which was the only reason I got these😭. How do I get those modes
Late but got my first one in and they didn't work. Only "worked" when I touched parts of the rgb strip. Then little part next to where I was touching would turn on. I ripped them off and called Amazon. Got a new one coming in Sunday. So annoying but hopefully this one will work
