The Govee H61432 RGBIC LED Strips are the latest and greatest WiFi-controlled LED strip lights from Govee! Using the Govee Home App, you can easily connect these up to your home's WiFi and control them from anywhere you have a data connection. The difference between RGB and RGBIC is that it allows for multiple colors in one line. This means that with the app you can generate a lot of awesome effects to spice up your space!
The Govee home app allows you to power the lights on and off, adjust brightness, and enter the effect lab. In the effects lab, they have made tons of preset lighting effects that feature variances in color, modulation speed, and more. Basically, they have a preset lighting effect for almost any situation. These effects can be set to react to music or noise that is picked up via the Govee LED strip controller, it doesn't require you to have your smartphone microphone on like some other LED strip lights. For those of you who are artsier, they give you the ability to customize presets that are originally you (I am not so I stick to the presets).
If the app isn't for you, these RGB lights can be controlled simply by the 3 button wall controller that allows you to power on and off, cycle through modes, and cycle through colors.
For the real tech-savvy, you can control these with your Amazon Alexa or Google Home Assistant Smart Devices. This integration requires minimal setup within the Govee Home App.
The last feature (and my favorite) that I want to highlight is the timer function, which allows you to create artificial sunrises and sunsets in your bedroom for helping you wake up and wind down. This is a life saver during those dark winter months!

I have created a few combos, but what I REALLY want to to know if you can put more then ne scene on at a time. Like can I have romantic, meteor shower one after the other? I would like to have more then one scene, but not have just 3 combos in the DIY? I can't seem to find any video's that teach you if that is possible. I would like to know asap as I am having a party in 5 days and really really want more then one setting. Thank you

Got these delivered the other day had the c by ge strips and these govee strips is definitely the best way more strips way more colors and features I definitely recommend these
Hi, nice review. Question, does the device controller switch-on|off (normally-close) button stays ON even that you unplugged the adaptor, or when plugged it back in do you need to switch it on again? I will install this on a ceiling and plug the adaptor in into a switch-controlled-outlet. Thank you!

I have a question, I have the same RGB Govee lights but on the app I don’t have the same features as you did they change it?

I wanna purchase a few govee light strips and use them in the ceiling, but the problem is i want to hide everything inside the ceiling including govee remotes.
I'd like to control lights only from the app.
Is this possible to completely hide remotes and don't use them at all?

How long is the power chord? Can I plug it into a wall socket and go up to ceiling to put above my crown Molding or is it too short?
Can we set it up to start the LEDs sequentially, keep them all on at the end of the sequence, and do the reverse when turning it off?

The adapter is in there if you buy from govee europe. Also it uses tape on the backside of the strip so you don’t need clips.

yes you can change the transition time so you can have it go really fast or really slow
These can do way more than that… if you want something that just does slow transitions then get the cheaper version

My question is do Gobee or another brand as good as Gobee do stripes you can shorten down. Basically I need around 7m so I'd need 2 sets of these but then I'd be left with 3m over.

This set with the RGBIC (the thing that makes all the cool effect possible) isn’t supposed to be cut. While they don’t advise it, I have heard of people cutting them and it being fine. Most standard LED strip lights can be cut. Just make sure to read what the manufacturer recommends. Personally, I’d just leave the extra hanging/try to tie it in somehow.

Are you sure you bought the model with addressable LEDs? They have a model that's only RGB, so you can only do one color at a time
Do these put off heat or get hot to the touch at all? I want to put them in a glass display case to light up my anime figures but I'm afraid if it puts out heat it will get too hot in an enclosed area.

Most LED strips will get warm to the touch. We are unable to provide an exact answer for these strips, however, the heat output shouldn't be enough to melt plastic.
What is the difference between the pro and basic

I have a question about these, can you customize a movement type scene?
For example, the "rainbow" effect, can I go in and make it do a "rainbow" of colors of my own choosing for example?
I have a gaming PC setup, with custom keyboard/mouse/mousepad scene that are all synced up, and I'd love to mimic that same exact scene with these LED's but I'm not sure if I could.
I have only ever seen people customize static scenes with these, or demonstrate the basic rainbow effect and such, but I'm more curious about taking the movement scenes and customizing those (for example, the "crossing" scene, but with Red and orange and blue, or something like that).

Can you control the brightness of each section or is it a brightness for all the leds. I am after a light strip where you can control brightness of each section. The reason I ask this is because my walls reflect different light so some walls make the strip look brighter and other parts duller. Do these lights change with your tv remote? I ordered some Govee LED Strip lights about 2 years ago and experienced that. With certain buttons on my TV it would either turn them off or change the color mode.
These work with WiFi so they don't have a receiver therefore your remote won't affect the lights

I just bought nine 16ft govee led strip. I'm new to the led community these strips added up to 216 Watts is it possible to connect all 9 strip together with one 350 Watts power supply or do I need more than one power supply? I have a 144ft of ceiling to run these led lights Thanks.

These strips do NOT support 5GHz WiFi networks. (See for reference: m.media-amazon.com/images/I/A1QJGuwNjeL.pdf)
I'm not aware of any specific Govee products that do work with 5GHz, however I'm not an expert on their product line-up.
Does your router support enabling a 2.4GHz network? Most routers do, and this could be a viable way forward for you.

Hi friend. Could you help me? I bought the 65.6 ft version but I didn't realize it is not compatible with Alexa, and I don't know if you could make a video connecting the lights with a smart plug and see if it works correctly with all the commands.
buy the amazon plug it's 25 dollars. kind of expensive but super easy to connect and yes if you connect govvee with your alexa account any commend would work

I think the reason you need to enable location permission is because BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) can be used to determine your location.

Can you turn off your location and still use the app after you have initially synced the lights? I'd rather not have my location on all the time.
I have a question. Do you need a repeater to have like 32 feet of the lights, or will one outlet work to power 32 feet of the lights? Also, if I have 3 different strips, on different outlets, can I sync them all?
I just learnt this, you can not connect the three light strips physically, but you can sync them together from the app. And with the app your have the choice of any mode

@@sowlpup I personally don’t have the led strips myself, but I have heard that you can group your lights together on the app with other lights from Govee so that they are all synced. There should be some videos on how to group the lights so that they sync

So I have multiple smaller projects that I want to light up with these lights. More specific about 80 in of light needed per project. And I have a few. So can this light strip be cut multiple times and connect to one app or remote? If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate the input👍
i know for a fact Govvee said themselves the RGBIC 65 foot CANNOT be cut. something about the how complicated the individual LEDs are.

U can totally cut them but do it carefully
You CAN NOT cut them because of the IC chips. A regular LED strip is fine to cut at the copper points, but with the IC chips in this strip, it's probable that segments of the lighting wouldn't work if they were cut. I also don't know of any strips that can be cut multiple times because you need power supply connections for each cut segment.
