- What is left to make this machine a Stihl TS 420 saw? All covers, the exhaust and the handle. We mount all these parts together and come to the big moment of thruth. WILL IT RUN? After many hours of work, struggling with spare parts (I ordered wrong crank shaft bearings) we finally pull the wire and see if this great machine goes to the trash or cuts a lot more concrete.

The best part after hours in the shop? Doggo cuddle time
Fantastic. I watched all three videos. I just picked up a Stihl brush saw for next to nothing that someone ran without oil until it seized. Watching this I now have the confidence to rebuild it. Thanks for posting, very satisfying to see that saw come back from the dead. Cheers 👍
Thank you for sharing. Have fun doing the rebuild, once figured out how these saws are put together it's fun and easy.
When u rebuild stuff and make videos , it’s always fun to see compression before and after
No compression tester :-( I may buy one. Thank you for your comments
Nice set of videos. Watching someone who is new to something, as someone who also is new to it "concrete saws" is very entertaining.
Thank you, that's something I really want to show. Noone is a pro in all machines and mostly it's a careful disassembly and "discover" of the machine. Afterwards we know how it works and saved a lot of money 😊
Awesome job! You brought her back from the dead !
Fantastic job saving the unit, it was a very informative video sir 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks
Can u make one video how to change the carburetor
The saw is not at my place anymore but when I get another one in the future why not.
Hello Bikedogtor. The rubber part that was plugged up by the handle cover on the bottom of the machine: this is the connector which carries the big particles that are filtered out by the cyclone filter back to the flywheel space (opening into the outside of the crankshaft). The hole at the bottom is just for mounting purposes and therefore plugged up again :)
Hey, thank you for your comment. Until now I didn't know what it was for. Thanks again
Awesome, I got 3 of those saws and don't crank
you forgot to put the belt on!!!
No way would it start if i did all this work..... then id have to sledgehammer the saw until it was complete dust to make me feel better 😆
Hi Man it was a great job question where di you get the tool to adjust the piston
Thank you. I ordered it from the same shop as the spare parts
I’ve done a few rebuilds but they always go out on the second day any reasons why ? I’ve even started one and blew right after 2 min Start up is it because it’s not a expensive rebuilt kit I am using very cheap ones
Of course it could be a lack of quality of the spare parts but a lean mixture will cause more heat and can damage parts as well. That's why I use to rebuild the carbs as well.
Does crankshaft for the Ts420 works on that 480
No. They are different.
You didn’t put the belt on
Right not necessary for testing the engine
Why does my steel saw turns on for a little bit then it turns off?
Sounds like lack of fuel. Maybe vent hose bad?
Take it apart again as you forgot the belt
It is going to be new anyway
2cycle gas
?
