- After cleaning all parts the STIHL TS 420 concrete blade saw can be assembled. The assembly starts with mounting of the two crank shaft bearings and the crank shaft into the engine cases. You can do this in several ways and course of actions so my way is just one of them. After the cases are being screwed together the piston, piston rings and cylinder follow. With the cylinder mounted the whole engine kind of part gets married with the tank part. But before its a good idea to mount the carburettor rubbers because now we have good access to it and it is way easier. Dont make your life harder than necessary :-)

Top tip... Remove the ears from the circlips, they tend to vibrate and either break off or the circlip works its way out! 👍

Servus Bikedoctor, why you document in english? I got a quotation from a Stihl dealer, but the price for zylinder is very, very high and am honast, the fixing of exhaust is a missconstrution. Do you know a a good dealer for Stihl parts? Thank you Toni

You don't do a psi and vac test on the crankcase what do you think will happen if you have a air leak especially on that aftermarket piston and cylinder

are the bearings on the crank shaft the same size? on my ts420, it looks like one of the bears is a 15mmx35mm by 11mm. the dealer sold me two of the same bear sizes but i think my unit is older and uses two different sizes.
They aren't :-/ I ordered two of the same size and stopped bc one didn't fit.
The one I did had 2 different sizes

Is there a reason why you don't use any lubricant or grease when you're re-assembling the main shaft and bearings? Seems like it would slide on a little easier. Enjoy your vids
I never use lubricant on the outside of bearings bc if it goes bad the outer ring can slip in the housing and destroy it. You definitely do not want that to happen.
