Leica M10, was also my dream camera, been loving my photography journey because of this camera. People call me crazy for buying this but I'm into this hobby since film days so why not get my dream one ;-)
I’m still contemplating on an M10, I have started with the classic Leica M6 back in the 70s, then evolved to the digital platforms with my benchmark Nikons.. currently with D750/850… then I felt that after decades of shooting and traveling, I wanted to downsize in weight and venture back to Leica. I wasn’t ready to jump back into the manual school of photography, but I wanted get back to Leica, soooo..I started my journey by purchasing the Vario-X (great forgotten automatic Leica with a mini-zoom) Q, (both automatic system)and then currently M240…but getting an M10 would be the end of the line for me with a Leica system….I feel every photographer that has been shooting for decades will eventually settle down with a Leica…
100% aligned with your thought process. Made a similar video on my channel. Looking forward to seeing the work you will produce with it. Cheers from Montréal, Canada 🤘
I have to agree with you, FILM has gotten ridiculously EXPENSIVE. I actually call it the 3 F'S, The Film FAD will soon FADE! You made a GREAT choice with the M10, Digital all day for me. Very GOOD video here.
Thanks Mark! I hope within the next few years film will stabilise or at least new manufactures will come out with more affordable options. I still love shooting film but damn, ITS INSANE now.
Did you consider the M10-D (or any of the other variant models, e.g. M10-P, M10-R, etc.)? The M10-D is actually the closest you'll get to the experience of shooting with the M6. Regarding the price of film, at least in North America, b&w film is still "reasonable" compared to color film. Maybe you could shoot b&w with your M6 and color with the M10. If you haven't shot b&w, definitely give a good try (at least 10 rolls) - it's entirely different than shooting color and requires a new set of skills and way of seeing. Anyways, glad you love your new camera and get out and shoot with it every chance you get !
Oh yes I knew i forgot about this! I didn't choose the M10-D because whilst i do like shooting film, the M10D is TOO much like film with no screen. Digital to me has a much lower tolerance of out of focus images so I do occasionally like to check I'm in focus esp on wider aperture lenses. The R was unnecessary to me as mp for this sort of camera is not important. I do slightly regret not considering M10-R but the price of the M10 made more sense as I knew I wanted to put some money into a Leica lens as well (which i did :P) Excatly like you said, I mainly shoot BW on my M6 now, and that itself is also quite rare. It's much cheaper than digital but it falls down to the same issue where I am shooting so much it makes much more sense to use digital regardless. It's a such a same because loading and shooting film in an M body is an experience. We'll see what happens but for now, i've semi retired 35mm and only shoot MF for film. Maybe a Q2/M10 monochrom? heh

congrats! M10 is superb! I also just upgraded to M10-D. Hope it'll served you well. If u like 28mm u should try the Voigtlander 28mm f/2. Cheers!
I've got the lens! Love it on my M6 for film. Picked up a 35mm Lux FLE recently and it's my favourite lens period. Next to the Canon EF 35mm
Congratulations, I own the M10R in black paint, and I’m very happy with this camera.
So enjoy your new Leica.
Congratulations. You obviously bought your M10 for all the right reasons. Enjoy it for years to come.
Sold a pair of M240s and couple of month's ago and picked up a beautiful M10 that I really love and enjoy using...
Leica is the Rolls Royce of cameras and lenses, but unfortunately not everyone has the money to buy them 😑. Fujifilm is close enough for me

Congrats, enjoy!
Im upgrading soon as well from my x100v to Leica m10-r
Are you still shooting with the M10? If so, do you have any thoughts now that a year or so has passed? Thanks!

Nice useful presentation and very personable
It is abnormal to use such pricey M11 camera for photograghy.
It’s abnormal to care what you think

I just don't see enough raw talent to warrant buying a $7k camera
lmao ok StanleyKubick1 with 3 followers. Tell us more about how much the successful professional sucks.
M10的CMOS 容易发生故障 维修费用高昂, 买2017年的M10不是明智的选择 。
