Hot tip to try for ya mate, old mate, like 80 at the time, maybe 20 year ago was putting his Abalone in Kiwi fruit pulp for like 2 hours, no bashing there is some enzyme that softens it, Oi, with full respect how he was cooking it was the best i have ever had. real thin batter and a hot quick fry, Abalone fell apart in ya mouth. fr

Great Vid, my go to method to tenderise abalone is put them on ice for a few hours, lets them relax and go to sleep before shucking them, quick squeeze with hand and should be right

I live on the Texas Gulf Coast. Quite often while cooking up a feast of crab, shrimp, plus a few fish, I scream out to our waterside guests " What do rich people eat".
That abalone, & especially the lobsters @ 9:30...were Fracken Monstrosities! Had me drooling on my tablet screen!-lol. Aye woulda probably made cioppiono-type stew....A-L-O-H-A from Hawaii

Crayfish tip; easy way to extract leg meat is, place legs in microwave for 30sec to 1min and once you hear a pop they are done.
