Good tutorial accept you want to put grease on the slide pin only and locktite on the threads only. grease on the threads can cause the nut to come loose over time and loosing your brake lever while riding is SUPER dangerous.
For those of you who can't figure out why your clutch lever even at the most furthest out ( not the extension bar part of the lever mind you..I'm talking if you have big hands and want it out by default as far away from you as possible...THAT adjustment) setting is still loose versus it supposed to be autopressed against the rolling little wheel of the mounting adapter................. .... Check that black foam part that had the lever in it. chances are..there is a tiny spring around center ways of it. PUIG in their infinity stupidity didn't include ACTUAL instructions nor any pictures relevant of a parts to show you how to install this properly. You have to put the spring in between the "ledge" of the mounting adapter where it makes contact with the clutch lever. There is an indention in the clutch lever as well as a small intention inside that " ledge". It's a bitch to get it in there without falling it while mating the clutch lever and mounting adapter together with the inside brass colored /looking inside cylinder. 2019 cb500x here and I think it's the same one as the cbr500r and cb500f, but could be wrong. Bought my kit from Motorsport.com mount = manufacturer part 6115N clutch lever for black with green selector and green extender = 24VNV Ensure you click at the bottom part of the page that says " Fitment" it will be a drop down link deal and then search for your bike's model. Cheers
Used your video to fit puig levers on my ‘07 fireblade (sc57). Not exactly the same as the one in the video (mine doesn’t have a clutch cable) but it was a great help, so thanks mate 🤟🏻
kickstand is fine. One tip, just just reach down or get somebody to hold the clutch lever forward where it goes into the case on the motor, gives you loads of slack to make it easier.

Sick video bro
Hi I'm a new cbr 500r owner. What is the function of these over the original. Thanks
And you're doing it on my bike. Hell yes
No I did it on my bike ;)
Just installed 3.0 on cb650r, not happy with them at all. I cant seem to find a propper fit for my hands on them.
Dry lube or graphite for the clutch cable
Does anyone know what the part number is for the mounts?
You blowing up 👍👍👍👍👍
So for the brake lever, there is no cable or anything to add to it?
Nope, it’s very straight forward. Easier than the clutch lever
Are they fit on R6?
Why was there no cable at the break side?
The line is attached to the reservoir not the lever.
Does the bike have to be completely upright to do these replacements or can it be on the kickstand?
kickstand is fine. One tip, just just reach down or get somebody to hold the clutch lever forward where it goes into the case on the motor, gives you loads of slack to make it easier.
yoooo we got the same bike brother❤️🖤
Hey there, do you need the Puig brake lever mount and clutch lever mount for this?
Yup!
Yo boss do you remember if these were the standard or shorty levers? Also are they foldable or the regular ones?
Yes I do. They are the shorty levers and not the foldable ones.
@@AndrewHartsock thx for the reply. Im a new rider do you prefer shorty lever over standard? How did the switchover feel? Would u reccomend them?
no before & after images :(
not sure you want to grease the thread, but i'm no mechanic either
I thought the same thing while I was editing the video 🤣 whoops. But nonetheless I haven’t had any issues.
@@AndrewHartsock I would definitely at the very least unscrew it and clean the threads. Great video brotha
Instructions say to grease the brush and screw from the original lever
Good video mate, thx
No problem 👍
I am a new future biker. Is puig a good brand? I dont want to use cheap made in china levers. I want levers that are made for my bike by a good brand.
Yeah they’re a very reputable company. Haven’t had any issues with mine since I installed them
@@AndrewHartsock Thanks!
Those are made in China either way, they are just rebranded.
But hey, if you want to pay more for a false sense of peace of mind, go ahead.
@@shino8854 Settle down buff boi. Puig is an Italian company, a simple google search would show you that.
Puig is a good brand, it’s italian and I have a windscreen from them and these levers, and they fit perfectly and are genuine quality
Just went on that easy huh,,, ok
