Yes I'm using stock lever and I'm fine with it. But overall it depend on most of rider, some of em using GP style gearshift on a street. Other feel bit mehh I'm ok
you can also switch into neutral at stoplights, I think I want a shorty clutch because I get wrist cramps when I have the strain on my ring finger and particular the pinky because they're on the clutch, and having a full length clutch lever but only using 2 fingers means your ring and pinky finger get smushed between the clip on and clutch lever
or you just get unbreakables, they flex backward and mounted on a nylon bush so they spin on the bar when hit from top or bottom. No broken leavers ever
ASV's are great too. Even though im a noob, highly recommend. Not crazy expensive, ($110-120/lever $150-160 for nicer material) amazing warranty coverage, and they are built with a spring action that allows them to move forward 90° to reduce likelihood of breaking in a crash. I guess im silly for going for a short clutch and long brake lever, though 😅 but the shorty has enough room for 3 fingers on an average-large sized hand.
I'm pretty sure racers do not use short levers. There are regular length levers out there that have a bend point in case there is a crash to help save them.
I adore the short lever on the right, but i use a master cylinder caliper combination that already too "woody" on the feeling.. so i need to change my brake lever to a longer size so the feeling goes a little bit softer rather than stiff.
I always clutch in/out with 2 fingers. When I first started riding, it was so weird for me to find the friction zone with 4 fingers. 2 fingers all day!! Way smoother to me and not difficult at all.
Short clutch long brake. I have exactly average hand size, and short clutch is perfect for 2-3 fingers on with pinky or pinky and ring finger spacer. If you don’t put your pinky or pinky and ring finger between the bar, and lever try it. You’ll never use 4 fingers again trust. Brake you want longer so there’s A.) zero chance of missing it, and B.) If you’re racing/ aggressive street riding/ emergency stopping/ honestly every type of riding there’s no NEED to rev match. Rev matching is to get into a lower gear to accelerate, or for the badass sound. Zero performance gain or extra wear on the clutch for deceleration. Rev matching actually hinders deceleration. So why not use 4 fingers for added control of the pressure. 6 piston brakes don’t add grip to tires, but they sure do increase stopping performance because you can control the pressure way more precisely. Same logic.
So I can get a longer lever ?!handy to know I had my wrist rebuilt and still struggle with it after 30 mins longer lever would defo help ,thanks good to know 😊
I think it’s nice to be able to hang onto the bars with a few fingers and just let one or two do the clutch. Way more control over the bike itself, and the clutch lever too. Although my hand cramps after a fun lot session, it’s worth it on the streets I think. Case something happens 🤷

Brake lever guards not there for when you crash, they are there for when you are racing and it stops another riders bike in close racing coming in contact with your brake lever and making your brakes coming on. Just ask Simoncelli about them!

not really, just depends on what you're used to. I only use 2 fingers even on long levers, but no problem using 2 on a short lever in heavy traffic

4F grip on clutch doesn't work on bumpy roads or up hills, atleast 1-2 fingers to maintain the right pressure.

it wont hurt my clutch just using 2 fingers, not bringing clutch to handle right?
