I just pulled the trigger on your lyte kit during the Memorial Day sale and I’m beyond excited, watching this has me amped up! I know a return system isn’t really needed for around 500whp, but are there any negatives to not running a return system even if I’m only looking for around 500 and nothing more?
You will be able to reach that goal hp without a return system 🙂
Is it possible to build a motor that can Rev out to 8500 rpm with this kit on a g37 manual on pump gas?
Since I live in California, can I order the stillen kit with the SOHO A2A and filter setup? The car needs to be CARB Compliant. I can only run 91 octane since that's the best garbage I can get out here.
I know there are some slight differences as far as firme y between a standard 370 and the Nismo version. Will this kit, as is, bolt on without issue in a Nismo version or would there be more modification that needs to take place?
As we cover in 03:15 in the video most of the "modification" (some trimming) is required when doing the filtered version. The kit itself was designed on a 2017 Nismo, so any "modifications" would be minimal.
Will it fit the roadster ?
Supposing both set ups are 100% identical, how does the HR kit compare in power? Iv only seen one dyno for an HR kit and I think it was around 477whp. I can see the 3.7 making a little more power but I can't see it making 80 to 100hp more on an identical set up. Most dynos I have seen for 3.7 a2a kits are 550+ to 600
I would hope 500whp would be achievable out of an HR on 91/93 before needing fuel return system and moving to e60 or e85.
Also wonder how much it hurts us not having ecutek for 07/08 350's and g35's. Uprev was the gold standard but I think as power levels go up, the more pronounced the results between the 2 can be. For a long time I know it was common to either put a 3.7 crank in a 3.5hr or HR heads on VHR block.
For most of us with HR's though, we have to base alot of our performance choices from 370z/g37 builds because there's not near as many hr builds out there. But I know it doesn't all translate 100%. It would be awesome to have more definitive HR info.
Finally someone is making sense
Was it my car you saw make 477whp? I made that on a dying SCI trim. My car made 517whp when I went to a SI trim on 93 (same set up that’s on this one) running the v1 a2a kit. I made that on a mustang dyno which typically reads a touch less then a dynojet. I got a new tuner, and fixed some other small issues with my z and my butt dyno tells me it’s making more than it did when I made 517whp. We’ll see when I get on a dyno again. I just got the intake so I’m interested to see what it makes with a filtered set up. If I can make 520whp on the filtered set up I’ll be happy.

Amazing! Did the filter address the fluttering noise between 2,500 - 3,500 RPM that impacts all A2A kits that run filterless? I assume that adding a fuel return system and flex fuel kit will get the set up to around 650whp with a filter. Does that sound right?
It significantly reduces the noise that is common on this setup around that rpm range. We have one more setup we will be testing to help alleviate that noise. Adding a fuel return and e85 should definately get it towards the 650 wheel mark 🙂

Depends on your power goals. We've had customers run these kits on pump gas with just a billet flex plate upgrade on the stock transmission. What is the current lead time on these kits,? I know the website says 10-12 weeks, but I’m just wondering if there’s been any change to that

Can I get this kit for my q50 3.7 with the filter & all or does it only come for the 370z ? Cause I’ve looked on the websites & I don’t see it
At the moment there is only the turboguard option for the q50

What's the safest whp and wtq for a stock 370z. Without blowing up the engine.
Hp 550-600 max and tq 450-500 max for manual transmission, definitely lower tq for reliability with an automatic. With a auto 420-450 tq without modifying transmission. Definitely will need a transmission cooler/oil cooler.

The kit would fit. Currently, we do not have a filtered option for G37 so it would have to use the turbo guard.
How long does it take to install this beast
One to two long weekends with a garage full of friends, or 20-25 for a technician at the shop to handle it 🙂

8lb pulley, mine makes the same boost with a turbo guard on the same pulley.
Did he choose a bigger fuel pump on this setup ?

Topgunz does not have a REAL filter on his ace kit, hence why hes so curious as to how we made it work with a V3 🥸
@@SOHOMotorsports you are right, he upgraded to something better, more efficient and with more power at any rpm range so I think he won't offer a filter setup for outdated vortech kits

@@SOHOMotorsports Not sure why you would mention his old kit not having a real filter. Same as saying your old stillen a2a did not have a real filter.
@@glife3725 our v1 kit utilized the turboguard or the pancake style k&n filter, this kit that we have in this video now offers an intake pipe and filter, hence the statement of a real filter setup.
