    Made this after I watched the video and I have to say it's pretty amazing! This is the most versatile BBQ sauce ever. The last thing I did was roll out a crescent roll dough, put some of this on it, with shredded chicken, red onions, and cheddar cheese. Can't wait to keep trying it on different things! Thank you, Linda :o)

    I just cooked that recipe and it tastes amazing. I tweaked it a little bit, though. First, I doubled it. I added half dry shallots and half yellow onions since I had that on my hands. Apple beer was also more expensive so I used Ricard Red beer but compensated by adding one more apple and a bit more apple cider vinegar. I was able to fill 12 half-pints jars and 2 full pint jars. I still have about half pint, which i'm trying right now on some chicken strips and will be using the rest tomorrow to cook chicken legs. Thank you very much. I will probably give my half-pints as christmas gifts so I will probably have to do another batch just for me haha.

    Oh my goodness! I just made this sauce to use on shredded chicken and it is unbelievable! I love it!! I am always looking for a really good homemade BBQ sauce and the look is over for me! I will be making this and canning some so that I will always have it on hand.
    Thank you so much for making the videos that you do, my favorite are the canning as I am a big canner, I have spent the last two days canning gluten free celery soup to use for cooking and pinto beans and pork and beans.

    Linda, this sauce is such a beautiful color and those jars, oh my.... I know a lot of people have asked you over the years where you bought those absolutely stunning jars, but I have been watching and you never seem to answer their question. Please, if you do read these messages, could you please treat us to the web-link on where we can also purchase these jars for ourselves.
    Thank you so much for all of these wonderful recipes you share with all of us. They are so wonderful.!! I have been very busy this morning writing down the recipes and directions for quite a few of these beautiful BBQ sauce recipes that you have shared with all of us. My husband, who helps me put up our food supply because I am disabled, has requested a variety of different sauces. The ones I have seen so far this morning look absolutely mouth watering... Rhubarb BBQ sauce, Pineapple Jalapeno Red Pepper sauce, Raspberry Serrano Pepper BBQ sauce, Sweet Onion Jam and Apple Beer BBQ sauce. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    Oh. My. Gosh!! Just made this, and it's awesome! I tend towards more savory sauces...matter of a fact, my family homemade sauce recipe uses a lot of lemon juice, but I have to say that is is wonderful! I think you're right about the Applewood Smoke...it's a must. And you definitely don't want to skimp on the red and black pepper! Thanks so much!

    Just mixed up a double batch of this and it is amazing! Has a bit of a kick from the pepper but very good. In your sweet and spicy BBQ you say to add half of a teaspoon citrus acid to each jar, but not in this one, why is that?

    Yummy looking bbq sauce! What's the brand name of your enamel covered cookware you use in this video? I love cast iron but bare cast iron saucepans and I argue about if they will retain their season or not. I generally lose. Does the enamel keep food from sticking? Tfs and merry Christmas

    • @HereWithJesus
      @HereWithJesus 9 лет назад +1

      We have used Innova enamel/cast iron for years! We use olive oil or butter, but we really don't have problems with food sticking.
      If you have an Aldi by you, they just had some enamel covered cast iron (we got a dutch oven) It was only $30! Also, check out TJ Maxx or Marshall's. I've seen enamel covered cast iron there for a fraction of the cost of major retailers!

    • @LindasPantry
      @LindasPantry  9 лет назад

      yYes the lids pop but you should be able to take the ring off in actually pick Sadler up by the lid and if the seal is good you won't pull the lid off and I always follow guidelines put out by the ball canning book another canning Book Resources to make sure I'm doing things safely

    Thanks for your recipe Linda, it is very similar to mine.
    BTW Linda a written recipe with directions would have been so nice to include on all your youTube video's.
    Also if canning this I always use canning salt instead of regular salt.
    Also you did not de-bubble the BBQ sauce in your canning jars Linda before wiping the rims with vinegar and adding your flat to them along with your canning ring.
    "I always de-bubble everything even if I used an immersion blender and then wish to can the sauces, just to be sure there are no air bubbles to ruin my seals.
    I always do that with the canning funnel still on the canning jar, then use the napkin dipped in vinegar, and wipe the jar rim, and add the warm flat and canning ring".
    I also make a similar Apple Beer BBQ Sauce and use my cast iron Le Creuset 6 quart dutch oven and I always double e recipe like yours which is processed in a small 3 quart cast in pot,r so I can at least can quantity of BBQ sauces.
    Then I place my canning jars into my canner to process them.
    I made my own recipe a few days ago and it was fabulous, and I have many in my pantry storage now, and I am sure yours will taste great too Linda:).
