That was a very clear and easy to understand distinction between the two. Thank you for your informative videos.
Thanks for sharing. I did not know that. I have using those terms in the wrong ways most of the time.
Thanks...I was dying to know the difference!
:)
Could a Funeral Director be somebody who used to be a Mortician but now that he (or she) is in his later years, he’s done with the gruesome job of working with bodies and has now been promoted to the position of Funeral Director? I ask because when my friend’s mother died suddenly at age 49, he asked me to be with him at the funeral home with the rest of the family as they made the funeral arrangements. The guy they made the arrangements with was an older man who also explained the legal ramifications and laws regarding the disposition, burial and cremation of the deceased in the state of Alabama. He really knew his stuff!
Very interesting. I've always thought it was two words for the same thing.
:)
Wisconsin is 'dual license'. When you test for one, you test for both.
Thank you as always, good information.
Thanks
When I thought a Mortician was someone that looked like Lurch
Or Herman Munster
:)
As always great explanations. From one great lady
Thank you kindly!
In Oregon in order to own a funeral home, and be a funeral Director, you also need to be a licensed mortician.
Thank you!
I have a question, so when someone is cremated and their ashes are placed in a urn. Are the ashes placed into a bag then placed in the urn or the ashes just poured into the urn.
So very cool ❤
thanks

Ooh! Ooh! I know!
Mortician is the lady who married Gomez Addams!
No? Oh. Sorry.
I’ll show myself out…
Just kidding, Kari.
I did wonder what the differences were. Thanks for clearing it up.
