Oddly soothing channel ... Amazing that there's stone markers hundreds of years old, folks remembered ... Makes ya think of how quickly we'll be forgotten in this age .. thank you
This is breathtaking...the different color stones the church was built with. The risky hills😅. The 1632 grave still being able to read and 1723 wow. The grounds are magnificent❤ I just got up so thanx for starting my day great. Beautiful video❤😊❤😊
Wow, what a beautiful church and graveyard! And that 1632 stone was amazing! And Samuel Freeman’s grave, my goodness, that was a lot of words! He was obviously a well-liked man, God bless him!😊
I don’t know why people think cemeteries are morbid. I find them peaceful and beautiful. I love reading people’s names and wondering about their lives. By doing so I feel we are someway keeping the dead from being forgotten.
I can't get over what a BEAUTIFUL, well-kept graveyard this is!! The bird song just adds to the tranquility of the place!! The recycled coffin is actually quite a practical and good idea, especially when dealing with multiple deaths in a sad time like the Great Famine!! I do find paupers' and mass graves VERY sad though!! My grandfather was buried in a pauper's grave, and I believe my great grandparents were too!! It's VERY sad!!💔😭🌹🌹 Thanks for sharing this GORGEOUS place with us, Sue!! You NEVER disappoint!! XXXX ❤👏👍💕💞💖🤗
I loved how majestic it looked. What a find. I can imagine many weddings and funerals and holiday celebrations. I wish the church could talk what a story it would tell. Thank you guys...
What a glorious day you have got … a real expedition with a spiritual history lesson. Some very different Tudor tombs … who are they, Sue? I am a Tudor addict !!! Very well kept graveyard. Much love to you, Sue xx
Loved the Calico kitty! They’re my favourite kind of Kittycat.😊😻 This was quite an adventurous cemetery walk! You two needed mountain gear to get around proper. 😮 Thank you, such history.💙
@@SerenitySueGraveyards Yes, mountain climbing gear like Crampons which attach your feet to the steep hills and mountaineering boots that provide traction and stability for traveling on rocky terrain. Trekking Poles would be necessary as they would aid your balance on uneven trails and improve your power and endurance when walking uphill.
Such a beautiful cemetery and a beautiful church! Thank you for another amazing tour. My best to you and GV!!! God bless you both! You both feel like family to me. ❤❤❤❤
Beautiful grave yard! Area is gorgeous! 1600 markers, wow! Can you imagine getting a used coffin then dumped out into the grave! I suppose they had a reason. Thanks Sue💕
Such a beautiful area. The graveyard and view of the church and lake was very beautiful. What an amazing amount of history in one area. Also I can't imagine how hard it would be to carry up a coffin's to the areas on the steeper slopes. Thank you for all the detailed information.

Love the history of this stuff. I would love to see the ancient castles over there, maybe you can share that with us sometime in a video. That would be great! Thank you for sharing this piece of history with us and God bless. ✝️🙏💕💖
Oh how I would love to see that beautiful place! Thank you for taking us. What a glorious day and I know that a day like that is worth it’s weight in gold in Ireland or England.
Such a beautiful cemetery and amazing to read the very old headstones. The niche in the wall is so sad, those poor souls who's days ended there. My family came to England because of the potato famine from county Mayo, and I am VERY proud of my Irish ancestry 🇮🇪
Lovely cemetery. The kitty very beautiful also, we had a kitty like that as a child, it was said to be a Calico by the vet. They carry all the colors on them. ❤
Ok Sue you are a spring chicken im going to be 64 4-6-60 dont think i could get to the top of the hill. This place is amazing❤Beautiful blue sky birds singing❤love it❤Yall take care❤😊❤
Hi Sue and G.V. that is a Gorgeous cemetery and church, a beautiful day as well. The coffin shaped indent in the wall and the sad and gruesome way of burying the dead during the famine. You would never know from how beautiful the area is, so much tragedy and grief. The cat was Gorgeous, was it tortoise shell, I think? 🤔 Thank You for the Exploration Both of you are much Appreciated!!! ❤ God Bless You Both!!! 🦆
Absolutely stunning churchyard, a beautiful church with fantastic views. Well done to both of you for managing to get around to most of the grave areas. ❤,
The church is just utterly beautiful! The grounds are kept up pretty good, a few shaggy spots but it’s still in great shape. The next time you want to climb, get some shoes with spikes, that way you might not slide down the hill, lol. The view was awesome! Thank you for a great video. Tc.
Rather than Robin, I think the name on that first stone was John. I know sometimes they are easier to make out in the video than in person. Magical place Sue! Thank you.
Sue, you need to wear golf shoes, the ones with little spikes on them, when walking on slick paths and slick slopes. Thank you for posting your videos.
The minute i put your channel on Sue its amazing how much greener brighter and beautiful Ireland is. My wife went to Ireland to her friends weeding 20 years ago before we got married, they went to Christian college together in TENN, they said seeing it on TV dont do it justice. She also mentioned the army is very strict, they wont allow people to take pictures of them, is it still that strict today.
No not at all, we don't even really see any of the army here, unless I was to go to the curragh army camy in Kildare, then they may not like it. As I say I don't see any army around. Even our guards (police) will be happy to get their picture taken
