Were you in 2nd gear for the 40 roll? If they were both manual it would be tighter. 5.0 would probably pull. The Challenger 8 speed auto is really good.
He doesn’t want any action from a 10 Speed 5.0 though.

What gear ratio your car got? And also tune your car a scat won’t be able to keep up! Mustangs tuned for reliability not performance from the factory

I walked stock 6 speeds in my scat all the time I now own a 5.0 10 speed scat won’t get me plus the 392 is a weak motor it has to be built to handle boost by stock Gen 3 is ready
if yall did 60 rolls 5.0 would have won but those scats are nasty low end
Mustang 6 speed cannot beat a scat or an Rt you need the 10 speed to win easily

We’re you no lifting bro? I was headers only 6 speed too but a Camaro, and beating 10 speed mustangs stock. Feel like you could be too, these cars aren’t much different but you gotta no lift. You can lose a lot of ground in a race if you milliseconds late on banging a gear
thats because the camaros have no lift shift feature. mustangs dont. i used to have a 2023 camaro lt1 and traded it in for a 2023 mustang gt.
