With 10 gears that not only shift instantly, but also are closer together and keep the engine in the optimal RPM range, it doesn’t matter how fast you shift that 6 speed. You will lose. Manual is now only for the experience.
The new 6 speeds come with no lift shifting and it does make a difference to save a fraction of a second in between shifts. No enough to win but it still makes a difference
I have 2023 GT six speed with Recaros. I like shifting the gears, just me. Lots of experience with manuals. That said, of course auto is quicker. I like banging the gears and being a true part of the car. Nothing wrong with either trans.
My gto has a small ass cam and full exhaust stock mani TB and intake. And I ran a base model 315 gear 10 speed and it was the same out come as this race.. that cj car must be running like shit. Should be making 450. Definitely enough to pull on a 10spd.
My bro has a gen 3 PP1 5.0 and I agree this gen 2 must not be tuned well. Or the driver isn’t revving it all the way out. Either way my brother’s 5.0 is bone stock with an X pipe. I’m near FBO tuned. I definitely make more power and sound more agressive. But that active exhaust with an X pipe does sound really good.

Slopacks boats are too heavy and slow. My GT 5.0 Coyote (6 speed and with some upgrades) has spanked many on the streets (Camaro SS too). They are also yesterdays flavor. RIP Dodge and Chevy gas powered pony and muscle cars.

I got the 3.15 gears on my stock 10 speed and I beat the 3.55 geared pp1s so I would’ve beat this gen 2 even worse.
