The church was deceived. They were just told that it was going to be a funeral for a Catholic. They knew nothing else, and now they are going to hold a mass of reparation for its parishioners (the real and normal ones, that is). However, people are justifiably calling for Cardinal Dolan to offer a very public apology. I would do so on national television - actually international...

I’m Catholic and always voted politically for their rights. While I stand with my faith in church teaching I don’t believe I have the right to take someone’s free will. I have my church to go to and celebrate how I see fit and no one takes that from me. So this infuriates me that I’m incredibly considerate and they come to my house of worship and not respect my beliefs. NOW I will vote my faith. I will no longer vote for liberal views that go against my religious beliefs.
