I love color. I know you're not a a professional but here is a quick tip. Don't put the color on the ends because it is already lightened. When you rinse the color out because it has a agent in the color where it suds automatically; the color will tone your ends out automatically. This will prevent damage in the future. Sort of like a relaxer if you're just retouching the roots no need to put it on the ends everytime. I really love your hair color : )
SoBeNatural Wow I had no idea! Thank you for the tip, I'll remember that for the next time. Good to know bc I really am not a pro so I just kinda roll with it lol 😂😁❤️
Naturally Sade LOL! Yeah I was watching your vid on my phone as I was walking to my bedroom and I said to myself, "she should do the roots first then if there's any product left, she can bring it down to the ends last" But I still enjoyed the video and I loved the song playing in the background.
I am on my second round of using this color! The blonde color is fabulous! My roots are still a bit honey blondish looking, but its soooo pretty! Thank you for this video!
Dorena Dann yasssssss! I’m so happy to hear that! For me by the 3rd time it was the perfect shade of blonde I wanted. I feel like this process isn’t as harsh as straight up bleaching your hair. Love it.
Meylene Rodriguez Thanks so much girl!! Sometimes I want to let my natural hair color grow out but I do love this color. I appreciate the love and thank you for watching 😘🤗❤️
You just saved me from ruining my blonde hair, I got tired of bleaching my hair blond that I decided to just go red. I'm about to go pick up some vanilla champagne Loreal hicolor, thank you so much 😘💙💜💚🧡💛
adventures with Angelina C honestly whenever it’s time to refresh my blonde this is the best color in the hi color line. I’ve tried a couple of their others when I can’t find the vanilla champagne and it’s just not the same. So I try to stock up when I can.
I died my hair red too with hi colours red and I don’t like it it’s fading my stupid ass said one time in the hot bath won’t ruin and my colour looks so faded 😂 I’m like I’m done I’m going blonde now 🤣🤣
Fair warning - I just used these same products and the smell of ammonia is literally suffocating. Make sure the room you're dyeing in has proper ventilation. I had to add a standing fan to my bathroom while doing this. Otherwise, application was easy enough. Currently letting it sit in my hair, hopefully it turns out good!
Oh but also I loved the video! Thanks so much for sharing! Unfortunately, my hair didn't turn out very blonde at all but I'm thinking I need to give it another go once it recovers
First and foremost, thank you for watching! I remember the first time I used this dye, it turned out to be a darker blonde. But still blonde. The second time I dyed it, I got the blonder look I was going for. My hair takes dye easily I guess. Did it turn out a dark blonde for you?
I wish I could attach a picture but alas, youtube hasn't gone there yet haha. I started off with relatively dark brown so it probably needed more time to process than the 30ish minutes I gave it. I can't say it turned out very blonde; more like a light brown.
TotallyNot Trolling but ypu have too add something too activate the hydrogen peroxide. BLEACH IS HYDROGEN PEROXIDE. I'm so tired of non cosmetologist trying tell eveyow false info
TotallyNot Trolling no darling it's not. Bleaching your hair and knowing what you are doing is alot safer and less damaging. Box dye is some of the most damaging and dangerous too use
TotallyNot Trolling have you ever heard of developer and bleach powder? Developer is hydrogen peroxide and you mix it with bleach. Stop acting like a professional when you're not
I used this same product for my hair also! But your roots lightened so much more than mine! I wonder if I should have left in on longer. I love that I didn’t have to use bleach and ruin my curls more. Your hair is beautiful!
Rochelle NaturallyLovinMe Thank you so much! I was scared the first time too, but this dye gradually lightens your hair and helped me get used to it. Also it claims to moisturize so maybe that helps minimize damage? I try to do a protein treatment before to strengthen my strands a bit when I can.
U cant lighten dark hair without some type of color lifting chemical process...processor, developer, lightener, bleach, call it what you want it doesn't matter your natural color will be stripped (permanently altered, weakened, damaged regardless of non microscopic appearance) in order to deposit the lighter color. It is what it is folks. If some type of color lifter/stripper was not used then u would simply buy a bottle of color... That color is gorgeous by the way
rachray83 You are right about that. It may not be bleach, but it is lifting your natural color right out. Whether it's hi lift or bleach, we just have to be careful and take care before and after to keep the hair as healthy as possible. And thank you so much!! ❤️❤️
Les Cuebas I've been using this hair dye and developer for years and I do not take care of my hair, just recently in the past two months have I actually started using masks and deep conditioners and my hair is just fine. And I don't get it cut either, probably every 3 years. So I'm pretty sure this method is just fine.
nothing will be as damaging as fully doing a bleach process!I've had both done to me and by far the hair dye/30 peroxide did not damage my hair as bad as for the bleach in the long run did ! Either way which ever you prefer to do I highly recommend hair mask & vitamins!
I love You!!!! Thank You, I tried and was awesome!!!! No toner, no adicional things. My hair was orange and now I had a beautiful color. Thank You again. I'll be buying the Coinditioner
Yasssss giiiirl! I’m so happy that you tried it and that it turned out great. This is the only one I use when I dye my hair and I love it. You are so welcome. Thank you for watching 🤗❤️
I used the same brand but the red color for my daughter her hair was ligth brown and it turned out a beautiful wine/burgundy color with no bleach her hair was about 15 inches long
I'm soooooo happy I found you! lol I was searching for someone who looked like myself because I want to try blonde so bad! Crazy thing is my name is Sadé too! Lol great channel....new subbie 💜💜💜
Avian Rodriguez thank youuuu!!! I always go back and forth with if I should keep touching it up or let my natural hair color grow out and I always cave haha.
Same hair same color . I lose hope when my roots are about two inches but as soon as my roots are done I’m a goddess. I’ll have my people call your people 😂😂😂😂😂
This is great!!!! My hair and dark and I want this color!!! I’m getting Olaplex to put in the color while I color it so it won’t be so damaging!!! Palmers conditioner is alcohol in it so it’s a no no for me but glad it works for you!!! I can’t wait to do this!!!
jami ross that is a good idea to use olaplex! I’ve been wanting to try that for a while but haven’t gotten around to it. Hope it works well for you. And yeah I stopped using that deep conditioner and switched over to a Cantu for natural hair deep conditioner or Shea moisture. I switch between those two now.
You are so adorable by the way I love your curly hair hair not hitting on you lol. Yes I can’t wait. My natural is dark blonde so this would be perfect. I’ll post my pictures on here
Great video! Question: was your hair really dark before using this dye? If so, did you keep using it to get your hair as light as it is now? Also, did you only use 30 volume developer each time? Thanks in advance.
Kitty's So Curly Hey girl, first off thank you!!! And yes my hair is brown so it was dark. When I first dyed it, it was very light. Like a darker blonde. Like how my roots came out in the video. And the next time it got lighter. I always use a 30 developer.
You are so welcome...Thanks so much for responding, I really appreciate it. I'm thinking of using this product to lighten my hair (I'm going to use the shimmering gold color) and there aren't that many videos of people with natural hair using this product in blonde. So thanks again for the video and keep up the great work :)
Great video! So helpful, I'm trying to figure out the best way to get a light caramel brown without bleach. How long did you leave the product on your hair?
Krystle Nicolas Yassss! I'm so happy it turned out for you! This is the color I always use, I'm guessing it depends on how dark or light your hair is to start off.
Peroxide is a type of bleach. The color tube is just pigments and Ammonia in a cream form. The high volume developer is what actually lightens the hair.
Renee Fleming I did use the same color. This is the only color I’ve used to become blonde and maintain it. Every once in a while when they run out of Vanilla Champagne, I’ll get the Natural Blonde which isn’t the same but close enough.
Peroxide is bleach, but of course, less stronger. As higher the peroxide number , the strongest the peroxide. But anyways, Your hair looks beautiful, I love it.
Hi! I love how your hair turned out. Question: when you apply the dye to the rest of your hair, after applying it to your roots, does it make the rest of your hair lighter?
Did you use a toning shampoo afterwards? If so, could you pleeease tell me which one? Our hair is pretty much the same texture and same shade of blonde, and I want to try touching up my roots on my own but I want to make sure I have all of the right products. Thanks! ❤️
Sumi Nia Means I do use a toning shampoo and at the moment it’s the Shimmer Lights by clairol. But I didn’t use it right after I dyed my hair. Usually I’ll wait until I start seeing some brassiness after a while and then use it.
Martina Whitey I'm not sure if the loreal hi color has a platinum blonde color. But if you're asking like in general, yes you could dye a black weave platinum. And the best part is that it's the weave so you can keep your hair healthy 😊
Can I mix another darker blonde with the Vanilla champagne to achieve this color ?? I pretty much want to add to my ends with my black hair. Like an ombré look
I’m not sure how to create an ombré look with dye so you might have to experiment and see what works. But I have mixed blonde dyes before when I can’t find the one I’m looking for.
Since this is only for dark hair , can it be used in my orange hair I bleached my hair 3 weeks ago and it’s orange I’m afraid to Bleach again. I would rather go this route . What do you think ? Would it give me this exact color ? This is the.l color I want and I have orange hair
Caren Baybee My hair is no longer dark and I’m still able to use this product to touch up my roots and the rest of my hair. I can’t say for sure about the orange hair, but I want to say yes. However, I don’t know the color you would get from it going from orange. It took me my 3rd time to get the color I have now. And at that time, I waited 2-3 months in between, so idk how soon you want to do it. I would just be cautious.
So question please help b/c I’m trying to dye short curly hair for the first time! Do I have to hit the ends before the riots b/c I heard that the roots develop the fastest! Also I got the 30 volume developer and some sort of dye that someone recommended to me in the store.. I know I should mix it equal parts but how long to I leave it on?
Lina Horn honestly not sure what dye you got so it depends. But I would check the instructions on whatever kind you got bc each brand and type is different. They should have directions for virgin hair on there as well.
Dk thank youuuuu! I hope it turns out beautifully! I recently posted a more detailed video on how I dye my hair if you want more specifics on how to mix, etc.
When I mixed my dye and developer it seemed a little foamy ? Is that normal ? I also did not measure developer this time.. I’m used to using L’Oréal hicolor excellence magenta or red
Ty Mo yes maybe a little foamy. Creamy foamy. I ALWAYS measure haha. But if you’re used to doing it that way, then i guess whatever works for you. I just recently recorded a more detailed video on how I dye my hair blonde so maybe that’ll help with any other questions. Gonna post it Friday.
Hi! I hope you see this comment. I serious have watched this video like every day for the past week because I just love it! But okay I have highlights in my hair but I want to go completely blonde I know that I probably will not receive the same results like you but can I still use this on my hair even though my hair is blended with the dark and bleached parts? And also have you done this process yourself and started from your dark brown hair?
Danielle Nance Heyyyyyy girl heyyy! Thank you SO much for watching! ❤️ Yes you can still use this on your hair even though you have highlights. I started out with brown hair and for me it worked so well. This dye is actually meant for people with dark hair. I just checked out your channel and I LOVE your hair tho. The highlights look amazing on you 😍😍
thank you sooo much! I really appreciate it but girl! I'm trying to get like you ! lol I love how your curl pattern is still poppin after the application, that's what I want for my hair as well.
teria Jones I’m sure you could but I’ve personally never experimented with that myself. They do have other colors in their “hi-color” line aside from blonde. I have tried the red which I loved.
Lauryn Garner I used Volume 30 developer. 20 is less harsh on your hair but won’t be as effective. But the volume (20 or 30) is completely up to you!’ And whatever you’re comfortable with. Yes, all I did was mix 2.5 oz of 30 créme developer PER box of loreal hi color in “Vanilla Champagne”. Hope this helps 😊
I love color. I know you're not a a professional but here is a quick tip. Don't put the color on the ends because it is already lightened. Thanks for THAT tip😘
How do you know how much developer to use?
Mallie Rae it says on each box. It’s 2.5 oz of developer per box. And the box also recommends vol 30 developer
This color looks so pretty with your skin tone 😍
I am on my second round of using this color! The blonde color is fabulous! My roots are still a bit honey blondish looking, but its soooo pretty! Thank you for this video!

That blonde looks amazing on you!

Why you want to tell you here
You better stay blonde forever, you are a goddess.💖
Kristen Rogue girl you are giving me life! Thank you! You just made my year 😘❤️
you didn't even say that to me and you made my day. please keep being such a positive light, the world needs you.
I tried this tonite. It works but I definitely had to use a toner afterwards though, to get rid of the orange. Thanks for the tips
Nichole Howell Did you try a brass removing shampoo?
Naturally Sade 🤔 Didn't think of that. Thank you i will try it!!
Nichole Howell sis how many shades did it lift? did u use the Vanilla Champagne color?
yes purple shampoo is a life saver!
What color was your hair originally? because I want to try this
It may not be labeled bleach but the dye has lighteners in it that are basically bleach their self, same with all boxed dyes
TotallyNot Trolling but still pretty damaging

Who would of thought to use this instead of bleach !! Thanks girllll !!!
Amazing hair color/results. Always wanted honey blonde hair but was afraid of the bleach. But yours turned out really nice and healthy looking still!!

Sit under the dryer with a shower cap the heat will lift the hair much faster
it’s such a pretty blonde at the ends honestly
Still referring to this in February 2020!!! Trying it on my locs and I’m excited!!!

I’m a cosmetologist and you can do that without stripping your hair certain box colors provide that safety net like clairol
Bleach will kill your texture tho..so if we are gonna fuck up our hair anyway for the sake of color, might as well leave it soft.
Sit under the dryer with a shower cap the heat will lift the hair much faster.
You may not have used bleach, but there had to be ammonia. You cannot go 'light' without either.
You're correct but this is the "safest" way for people who want to DIY.
MakeupVonGeek ammonia ain't safe it literally toxic
developer isn't bleach but developer is what is mixed with bleach
Les Cuebas I've been using this hair dye and developer for years and I do not take care of my hair, just recently in the past two months have I actually started using masks and deep conditioners and my hair is just fine. Lol thanks! Funny thing is people always ask what color and product etc. And I’m like “It’s in the video and the description” lol 😆
I used to use this color to dye my hair blonde and it worked so well
I love You!!!! Thank You, I tried and was awesome!!!! No toner, no adicional things. My hair was orange and now I had a beautiful color. Thank You again. I'll be buying the Coinditioner

YUMMY CUPCAKES haha!! Yessss I feel the same! I feel brand new when I touch up my roots lol
I’m looking to add a honey color to my natural without bleach and this video was helpful.
Your hair is absolutely fabulous!!!
rerelightable thanks so much love!! 🤗❤️
You look beautiful! this colour looks great on you ❤😍
It's a lightener. So they can say no bleach. It came out nice.
This color is gorgeous on you. I love your beautiful curls! What do u use for them to be so beautiful and not frizzy, yet still free and bouncy?

I’ll post my pictures on here
Yes they have Olaplex to use while coloring and aftercare or precare it’s worth it
jami ross 😆😆 thanks girl
OMG! I love how your hair came out!!!!!!
Jami thank youuuuu 🤗😍😘
ive used thia product, theres no bleach, but there is ammonia, which is basically bleach
I love your hair! It looks great on you! ❤❤❤
very cool!! the color looks amazing on u
I liked the dark roots look. Still turned out nice

So thanks again for the video and keep up the great work :)
Great video! So helpful, I'm trying to figure out the best way to get a light caramel brown without bleach. How long did you leave the product on your hair?
Hi, would you mind if I ask if how much of creme developer should I need to mix to vanilla champagne? Thanks..your hair color is so beautiful❤
You look great as does your blonde hair! I use L’Oreal on my wavy, gray hair. It may be a little easier than your process.
Are you using the same color that she used? If so how did it turn out?
I tried this color and I love it. however its not that Golden color you've got going on but i still like it.
Krystle Nicolas Yassss! I'm so happy it turned out for you! This is the color I always use, I'm guessing it depends on how dark or light your hair is to start off.
Naturally Sade I will see how it looks as I grow it out. I did start out on short dark brown hair. Maybe it will get lighter over time
there's definitely bleach in this product
nooo mam, i got it on my clothes and a towel & nun happened lmao
@@CECE-sm1xy no there is just not as much

What's the name of the color of the boxes? Looks like you have two different color boxes products in detail??
Can you put color over this ? My friend thought me this trick and I was like omg I love it I wanna do it now 😩😩😩
ohemgee im going to try this on my dark hair :) hope this works
This is gorgeous on you hunny!

The color looks amazing on you. 👍
Ms Jersey thank you ☺️
Very beautiful! Did you use the same products to achieve the color on the other parts of your hair?

PLEASEEEE TELL US what portions you used. I can’t even attempt to do this because I have no idea how much developer I’m mixing 😔
Your colur looks bomb.
Charlene Antoine-Pitterson ohhhh thanks girl 🙏🏽🤗
hi your hair is beautiful I love it! yu make it look so easy, so did yu use the same hair dye to color your entire hair the first time?
OMG this is exactly what I need 😀 I was so scared to bleach my hair..Thanx I'm a new subbie 😁
Wish you would have posted the part, how much developer to the dye
Peroxide is bleach, but of course, less stronger. As higher the peroxide number , the strongest the peroxide.
But anyways, Your hair looks beautiful, I love it.
Hi! I love how your hair turned out. Question: when you apply the dye to the rest of your hair, after applying it to your roots, does it make the rest of your hair lighter?
Crystal Campbell thank you!! And yes when I apply it to the rest of my hair it does get lighter, which for me is perfect.
Yes I’m sold... doing this very soon 😍😍
I am trying to get ash blonde with 30 developer , sandstone blonde and 1 cool brown dye it didn’t work 😅
Your voice is so soothing 😍
Seun Olokun-ola haha thank you ❤️
U literally look like a angel 💜💗

I used this and left it in for about 30 minutes and it didn't get light enough xD My tips are still green and blue actually which is kinda funny :p
Omg this looks so good how long have u been doing this
Hi I don’t understand do I put the 30 in the dye together in the bottle ? Thanks in advance
Thank u I enjoy the way you show the steps!
If I wanted blue hair without bleaching it... Could I use this to make my hair blonde then go over with blue hair dye?
I just bought the HiColor Honey Blonde for my level 6 hair. We shall see.
Edit: really like your hair. What color did you use?
So pretty 🤩 am dying some of my locs that color
How did you mix it all up? Did you just pour it all in the bottle and shake it up, or mix it then pour into the bottle?
Yes you can still use this on your hair even though you have highlights.
Danielle Nance lets trade hair hahaha 😜
So if I used L’Oréal Hi Colour in Magneta I can just buy this? I had purple hair and bleached my hair like in 2019 so. I have some colour under Meath
You could, but it will take a few times before the magenta comes out. You would probably start off with strawberry blonde.
Okay so when you were saying I just add on the solution, did you mean you the developer and hi color cream together?
Alissa Turner Yes exactly. I'm sorry I didn't clarify that in the video😓
It's 2.5 oz of developer for each cream dye, mixed together.
I love this which I thought about bleaching my hair but this seem to be safer..but can I add semi permanent color for different colors
teria Jones I’m sure you could but I’ve personally never experimented with that myself. They do have other colors in their “hi-color” line aside from blonde. I have tried the red which I loved.
You seriously have my dream hair & hair color ritechere
BohoRho haha 😆 thanks boo 😘
Your hair is gorgeous where did you buy your products from
your curls look great good choice
Does this product work on brown hair and dark brown hair and highlighted hair
Wow! Beautiful color!
this is beautiful! Great job
etherealone thank youuuuu 🙏🏽🤗💚
Okay so I plan on dying my hair honey blonde tomorrow . So all I get is the color and 20 volume & mix then apply?
Lauryn Garner I used Volume 30 developer. 20 is less harsh on your hair but won’t be as effective. But the volume (20 or 30) is completely up to you!’ And whatever you’re comfortable with. Yes, all I did was mix 2.5 oz of 30 créme developer PER box of loreal hi color in “Vanilla Champagne”. Hope this helps 😊
Naturally Sade thanks so much hun!
