(9/28/24) Now that this seems to be allowed on RUclips again, I implore you to check out other uploads; I had to edit the mp3 a bit in this video to even share it at all, hence why some parts sound a bit "crunchy", for lack of a better word. Anyways, hope you find rest in this song, I know I find it very relaxing

I have been listening to this piece of music again and again for years. I have rarely heard a piece of music that sounds so soft, friendly, loving and tender. I am sure that Eno made this music to do something good for himself and for us.

And then one day a switch is flipped off, and we are instantly back in the Stone Age. Some generations later we have forgotten about our technologically advanced past. Only getting hints of it in our oral traditions and stories. But one day, we will achieve those heights again, only to fall yet again. And the cycle continues on.

This for me, is honestly, wholeheartedly the best piece of music I've ever heard. I explore and listen to almost all genres that we are all familiar with, rock, alternative, emo, hip hop, ambient, shoegaze, dreampop etc... - I love it all, but THIS? Never experienced anything like it. This piece here transcends whatever else I've heard before.
I call New Space Music a Saving Grace, if you will. Music which keeps me going, which gets me into a meditative zone immediately and connects me with myself, quickly gets me into a state where I can heal and explore my shadow deeper. This music right here is the still sound of the Universe. There's no music that I've experienced deeper than this. Music wise, this is where it starts and ends for me. Im not sure if I'll ever hear anything better.

todos los discos de Brian Eno me permiten, no entiendo por que razón, concentrarme en las lecturas de científicas. Simplemente es como prender un interruptor a la concentración. Cualquier otra música me dispersa. Es genial para leer, casi como el sonido de mi mente en silencio, debe sonar a esto... mi silencio lleno de sonidos internos. Gracias por esta pieza.

From his early days with Roxy Music, through Here Come The Warm Jets and Before And After Science, his collaborations with Bowie, Bryne and so many more, thru Ambiant, to god of production, Eno has been at the forefront of so much groundbreaking music. Among the most influential artists of the 20th & 21st centuries. Genius simply doesn’t cover it.

It's so unimaginative to describe musicians presented on youtube as 'genius'. What would you call Shakespeare, Da Vinci or Mozart? The term 'genius' have lost nearly all it's original meaning. It's a sign of cultural poverty.

    • @johnmcdonnellakacarljunglebhoy

@@Mr.Monta77 That’s your opinion and you’re entitled to it, but I beg to differ. I don’t use the term lightly. Unimaginative is an unimaginative insult, but I’ll forgive you. However, I can’t imagine what you gain by jumping in on a thread & comment simply to insult my intelligence. Although, deliberately trying to wind people up does, bizarrely, seem to excite some unimaginative RUclips trolls, presumably as an antidote to their intellectual and musical poverty.

@@Mr.Monta77 Uh, in many instances i would agree BUT this is friggn Brian Eno! internet musician? wow you must be really young and intenet search challenged. This guy coined the term "ambient music"! No he didn't invent it but he has been doing a spectacular job making it since at least 1978! no internet in my home back then, just slabs of vinyl with amazing artwork from peter schmidt. geeez...cultural poverty indeed.

    the Paul xstretch vst ...
a bastard child of Brian eno ...
i have used these drones and others of brians as a reference and guide, for years off and on.
and as years have slowly come and gone and old and old I have become.
and have through slowly acquiring various odd's and sod's mostly free vst's and app's
midi' together with a few hardware devices loopers verbs eq's etc..
I have looped loops of various lengths. finding those that are compatible that move in their spaciality
like echoes of depth of movements as they move to out flank the ear and get in behind.
ay when I multi loop it's a bit hit and miss but more hit's as you'll always make something that
resonates with some aspects of yourself and that moment in time. thinking Brian made this primarily for himself
for his own connection with being more. as certain frequencies set-up internal thoughts, adjustments.
my own noisescapes do so for me they don't make me a better human unfortunately
but I does divert my anger frustrations onto and into a neutrality, even if it only temporary
it is enough those listening moments to see one self naked the ugly me and my delusions
and I on reflection i recognise i'am imperfect .. an less is something more, and if twice spoken
May stop assumptions of misheard instructions they twisted and spun into error.
sometimes I'm garbled even to myself.
