There Are Innumerable Classic Ambient Albums, But This One Has To Be The Best. You Have Done Justice To This Release, Which Is Absolutely Timeless. Heaven Has To Sound Like This! Thank You! 🙏
This stretched version has taken something that was already brilliant, to something over the top!...reminds me of many a good night 😂😅😢😮❤...transcendental x🎉
On college radio in the 80's I'd play a Cocteau Twins track at regular speed the immediately after play same track at slower speed and no one ever noticed
@bensongbenson I was just about to post that very same thing! Lazy Calm, ❤❤❤ Remember when there were these great, left of the dial generally college stations that kept on feeding you goodies for the soul as well as ears & heart? Lived in Southern Connecticut, Woodbridge to be exact and I reckon there was a New Haven or Hartford station spinning nothing but Goodness. Geez, I sure do reminisce about those golden, halcyon Days we will never return to...but the memories, oh the memories.
Many people I know aren't fond of this music and find it odd and even hate that I enjoy it. However, reading the comments fills me with joy, and I'm delighted to share my appreciation for it.
And I trust you don’t care. Like much of ambient “music”, this soundscape was made for self-reflection, relaxation, release from the stress of the material world, meditation. For those who grasp this fact, the beauty of Brian Eno’s ambient creations are self-evident. Powerful & freeing, where harmony & melody exist together as platonic forms, floating in space.
I've listened to this to meditate, to study philosophy, and to calm my anxious partner. Thank you so much for posting this. Listening to it is extremely comforting. Saludos from Argentina!
There's a new documentary coming out or just came out called Eno. Gary Hustwit who made it was interviewed on NPR the other day. He makes amazing documentaries. What a great documentary subject! Brian Eno. Legend.
I have this on vinyl but I prefer this stretched version. I’ve been listening to this on my cell at a low volume when I go to bed. Lulls me right to sleep. 🛌 💤
"I'd still haven't found what I'm looking for' -probably the reason I am into ambient music. My ears amd lately my eyes have been exposed to different kinds and genra of rock music in defferent terms since childhood, the latter lagging so far behind since there wasn't any videos then only audio.Maybe if I take a chance with this kind of genre, sensual imbalances would be easier solved and further enhance the "unknown pleasures" derived from different rock and roll bands I got used to listening & now watching. Muy bien!
Music is vibrations, it is going to your body, heart, soul and mind. And this piece of music art push one tenderly to go through all of them and started a peaceful journey...who knows when it would finish and where... guess ❤ And thank you so much! Lot of 💕 love
No, it's not. Music is not this metaphysical experience close to magic, even though it feels that way sometimes. It is just a product of culture and as such it is culturally bound experience.
It's quite lovely to start this video, then open up another browser window, pull up RUclips, start playing this one ( ruclips.net/video/sXFceFu-3k0/видео.html ), adjust the volume on each vid, and then let the ambient keyboards intermingle with the sounds of birds in a rainforest. Heavenly!
One of the songs that have entered my heart is that I always listen in my moments when I paint. Thank you for paying this important tribute to an all-time masterpiece
I was inspired by Eno to record an ambient piece recently. “Nest” by Thommy Underhill. On all streaming services and on RUclips if you search it. Just wanted to share with other fans of minimal ambient music.
I like it. Lowlights for me are when the piano takes too much structure and starts to get foreground. Highlights for me are the insanely long decay notes which evoke a sense of falling away. I've put it in my youtube playlist "music these days" that I send to people who complain there is no good modern music. BTW comments are turned off on the video for this track on YT
@@stevecarter8810 also- if you prefer songs with a little less structure I recommend my song LIFE FROM NOW ON. Also instrumental and quite droney. Sounds a bit more villainous though
So chilled - Love listenin to this when feeling stressed at work. Helps to focus my mind on the task at hand and not to get too overwhelmed. Brian Eno was one of my 1st ambient artists I listened too.
i'm pretty sure i have this on vinyl somewhere but definitely not the {stretched-version} already digitized for easy transport on my i-pod?.....wow cool....so...thank you so much.
Nicely done (I'm not usually keen on these "stretch" mixes but this is very good!) The original LP is wonderful. Laraaji is a good lad and he was quite funny when I saw him live! 🙂
Maybe it's only humming due to a sprint race. Maybe dull races or tracks should feature them to spice things up if they aren't already designing the sprint races like that.
It makes my blood boil when I hear people saying Kraftwerk and Eno were some kind of ground breaking geniuses. 😮 Tangerine Dream were doing it, and doing it better, years before. Zeit (whole album), Phaedra (whole album), Wahn etc.

My brother and I mistakenly did that with 'Victorialand' and loved it.

Thrive on my friend!
I love the Music from Brian Eno since 40 Years .. he is one of the very best Musicians of the World .
I like Brian Eno right from Roxy music first album (1972) but he is not classed as a musician, but he has certainly got something.
Music for airports went big when bang on a can released a cover of the 4 movements in 97 many 1998. Me a best friend ever were so into it.

To invent a genre, to instigate a culture is an achievement people like us can only aspire to create

Hermoso comentario
¡Gracias Tato Schab! 🥸

We have a good luck to hear Heaven even before arriving there, with Brian´s music:)
Even stretched I remember those notes still resonating in my head. Pretty cool.
Very therapeutic, I like it. I'm playing this in the background while working on a project and this is helping me to relax and focus.
Same here!
Esta música me está curando. Gracias, muchas gracias. I do adore Eno
Thanks Tato. I am blessed to have grown up with Brian Eno music from the early '80's at art college to today finding new works by this living genius
Wow a 3 hour long version. It's like a very short vacation.
This sounds like "the verve"...almost exactly like Self-Titled / Storm in Heaven / No Come-Down Era. Love it!!!

What a hell!? it complements perfectly. A great album turns even better with your sugestion! Thank you @scohan44.
This is my new thing. Thanks for the idea!
Nice! I tend to do a lot of water sounds (rain or bubbling brooks) mixed with ambient / drone music.
Spot on recommendation @scohan44 Thank you 🙏

An improvement from the original, well done. Manages to be familiar and different at the same time
I've long thought this to be heavily influenced by Yes' 1972 "I Get Up, I Get Down" on Close to the Edge.
Eno was doing his own music at that time. Think ambient. Not just Roxy Music.
Brian Eno: Absoluto!
Its a Laraaji album...

Brian Eno = Genius.
this is LARAAJI and Brian Eno. There are two artists here.
Cool rendition. I wonder, could you give this treatment to "Om - Reverberation of Source" by Charles Cannon? There's a Hemi-synch version on yt...

not only my windows 95 start up wav but here, too. 😁
Some of this sounds like the beginning of the ST Next Gen theme.
What's the process to create music such as this???
Best to listen to when doing Killer Mathematics that will make you weep...
I prefer the piece slowed down like this. At this speed, it's close to Eno's "An Ending".
Good night
Wow ❤️
Genial.
The beginning of this album is beautiful and ethereal. Quite by chance have you used Paulstrecher for stretching the sounds?
Obra maestra Eno
Maybe it's only humming due to a sprint race. Maybe dull races or tracks should feature them to spice things up if they aren't already designing the sprint races like that.
Dude you should do The Pearl, "Lost in the Humming Air"... 😍 Or Apollo - "Signals" 🌔
Wonderful! Did you use Paul Stretch for this?
Yes
@@TatoSchabI did Pieter Nooten's These Waves with Paul Stretch and it's come out awesome...
It's a hard album - mostly a horrible clanging nightmare until you reach this point. Beautiful to hear the good bits stretched to this length.
Surprising impression, I don't think any of it is nightmarish (though this is particularly peaceful). Ambient 4, on the other hand....
Totally agree
Did you try the first three Dance pieces and they didn’t work stretched out?
Yes, the "meditations" parts fits better for the stretching
Agreed.
This version is hot❤❤❤❤

Better than the source material.
Sounds more like some of Robert Fripp's stuff.
