"I was losing hope of survival... The heat could easily make my car combust with me inside of it..." He was thinking as he was speeding away from the fires burning his house and everything around it.
This video tells the story of a man having to leave behind almost everything dear to him to escape the bush-fires in Australia. Imagine the life you’ve known for decades years just burned up. All at once. You’re forced to start over.
From February 7 to March 14, 2009, the Black Saturday bush-fires destroyed 2000 homes, claiming the lives of 173 people and over one million animals. It was one of the worst bush-fire disasters in Australian history.
Unfortunately, the frequency and severity of bush-fires have increased in recent years. Notably, the "Black Summer" fires that began in September 2019 have only recently been fully extinguished after scorching the country for 6 months.

Imagine how scary this must be.. Saving up your whole life to buy a home and a happy life just for a fire to come and destroy everything you've worked to. Must be heartbreaking
well if u live in australia u kinda see it coming
Poppyseed that’s why you don’t buy in a fire hazardous era
People are aware of the catastrophe's that can happen there, but they choose to still move there either cuz the price is just to good or they don't think that bad things happen that often or they're not scared of anything ever happening whatever the case may be they knew what they were getting into & it was a choice that they were willing to take.
This happened in México and stopped a few weeks ago.
Good thing cause my family lives over there.
Also i was suppoese to go over there but because of corona virus i might not go 😥😥😥
And probably is heartbreaking
This was not only my house, it was my home.
This hit hard...
Helping others is honouring yourself - integrity and values define a character
Mr. Rogers always said to look for the helpers
Helping others is great & a wonderful thing to do but not & the detriment of my life, cuz I have a kids that depend on me & I'm no good to them dead. People may say I'm a hero cuz I laid my life down in order to save another person, but I call that dumb & selfish cuz doing that I left my kids orphans and a guarantee that the person I helped wouldn't step up & help my kids take them in so they won't get split up just out of pure thankfulness for what I did for them. On the other hand, if I can safely help someone of course I will I helped people financially when I myself was homeless and sleeping in my car with my kids.

Emily Ppg but isn’t there a program where they do seasonal burnings in Australia now?
We couldn’t control this this is our summer, this happens every year, hoping our houses don’t get burnt down, hoping our lives don’t get ruined
Sometimes I wish all the evil people died. The good ones worked together to farm and survive. And that we live happy.
I can't imagine myself in this kind of situation. I have respect for all the people who had to go through this. Watching their homes burned, power lines, trees bushes burning, animals dying, and worst of all, possibly even watching their family members die. Thank you to the firefighters who fought bravely to give people a spark of hope. No one should ever go through this. This would probably be more mental pain than physical pain.

For those who are familiar with the metric system, 500 °F converts to 260 °C
Here is a conversion table between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F)
((??? °F) - 32) * 5 / 9 = ??? °C
((??? °C) * 9 / 5) + 32 = ??? °F
And here is a metric table conversion:
1 kilometer = 1,000 meters (1 km = 1,000 m)
1 meter = 1,000 millimeters or 100 centimeters (1 m = 1,000 mm = 100 cm)
1 metric ton = 1,000 kilograms (1 t = 1,000 kg)
1 kilogram = 1,000 grams (1 kg = 1,000 g)
1 gram = 1,000 milligrams (1 g = 1,000 mg)
1 cubic kilometer = 1,000,000 cubic meters (1 km^3 = 1,000,000 m)
1 cubic meter = 1,000 liters (1 m^3 = 1,000 L)
1 liter = 1,000 milliliters or 1,000,000 microliters (1 L = 1,000 mL = 1,000,000 μL)
1 square kilometer = 1,000,000 square meters (1 km^3 = 1,000,000 m^2)
1 hectare = 10,000 square meters (1 h = 10,000 m^2)
0 degrees Celsius is the freezing point of water (0 °C)
100 degrees Celsius is the boiling point of water (100 °C)

This story was very heartbreaking to watch...
This was exactly about the bush fires from the end of 2019 and the start of 2020, I remember it, it was horrible. All of the sky was just smoke in some parts it was all red luckily my home and town wasn’t effected but watching on tv the animals who were injured and the camps of all the people effected made me cry it was just horrible and that fire didn’t start on its own or by climate change PEOPLE STARTED IT DELIBERATELY
;-;
This made me cry...
That must be scary as hell I hope the dog is okay
I also hope the dog is OK. 🐕🐶
@Metal Olijfje I don't know what do you think -_-

This story hits deep for me, as my family's house and farm burnt down to the ground, during the bushfire "raid"
Poor Australia :< pray for them in the time of corona
Hey guys, this was the fires Australia went through, I lived in the main area where all of the fires were, it was the worst Summer in history, we lived in smoke filled towns for days at a time, 5 million hectares were burned in nsw which was where I lived. We were in level 2 water restrictions and the fire only made it worst. Thank god we had floods in February and our fires were gone. Many people and loved ones died, and still many haven’t healed.
Sorry that you had to experience all that, Nat. Hope you're doing okay.

Guys ...u knw i lov u all secretely,,,,,
I never had to survive a fire but I've had to survive hurricanes. I can sympathize with him. The pain, the fight, the fright 😞. The whole way he describes the scenario just brings memories back to me. Year after year my country has to prepare for hurricanes, each year we pray and give thanks to God if there are non. I can sympathize with him. The preparation before the disaster hits. The final night you try and get some sleep before "it" hits (one of the most quietest nights you'll ever have in your life) And when it come, no matter how many times you've been through it, the level of fear, pain and trauma is unbelievable. The aftermath Is the worst. You would think you've just survived what could have killed you and you want to be happy, but you can't most times you've lost everything. If you haven't lost friends 😔😞💔 family members, even pets.
