Hi I'm the black lady playing slide. My name is Ann Hairston. I toured with LJ for 9 months playing percussion, bass, guitar and drums. After touring with LJ I toured with N'dea Davenport and Macy Gray. Prior to touring I was in the NY cast of STOMP. Now I produce, remix and dj house music. You can check me out on Beatport under Annex. Thanks for asking!!!
I asked who you were a year ago; I missed your comment. I was looking all over for you! Now I know how to find you; thanks! I’m so sorry to hear of Vivian’s passing…💔Velvet~
I saw these girls live in 1997 in Charlotte when they toured with the band "Live". I think Fever In Fever Out is a great album from the opening note to the last. The production by Daniel Lanois is amazing. "When I see all my weakness, that I turned into sickness"...I love the lyrics on this song.
This was from Sessions at West 54th, hosted by John Hiatt, a fantastic TV show, I never missed an episode. This version of Why Do I Lie is fantastic, better than the album version.
@Strawberry7Lynn They were never a household name here in the U.S.A. but the best music is usually just below the radar in this country. This is one of their best songs in my humble opinion.
@operationmongoose1 What in the WORLD are you talking about? Luscious Jackson was all freaking over the mid-to-late 1990s, just perhaps not always on what was then a more pop-oriented list of top 40s.
@tacitgreen Relax, operations comment was correct. They were not a household name in the mid 90's. RHCP, Greenday, Smashing Pumpkins, Beastie Boys, Nirvana etc were the staples. Not to say they were not great. I remember seeing them on Pete and Pete when I was 10 and falling in love with them.
i don't want to be hazy i don't think that i'm crazy but i've had some moments where i am not sure and if you can forgive me for just being human then i will try harder to keep my words
Such a great song! Which is why it was really so satisfying to be able to put this song on a playlist of over 300 songs by female vocalists I recently made for all the fury and frustration we are having right now: : ruclips.net/p/PLtTpAIqD_OG8n9Tl5ufEMsxC-w1hBKAho Let me know if you think of other songs that should be on the Mad as Hell, Frustrated as Fuck playlist!

Wow. I'm in love with your band.
Very nice! Wonderful playing wish this touring band was still performing. Any relation to Curtis Hairston?
@@MJ-zx3ct Not directly. Maybe a distant cousin!

Is it just me or are the 90s " kids" so much cooler than the other generations.
'70s, '80s and early '00s (2000-2003) are also cool, dude.
@@karlc2869 dunno about the 80s. Music's good though.
@@donice4835 Ok.

Fever In Fever Out - one of the best albums of the 90's.
chronically uderrated band - and this tune!
Always thought this was a beautiful song that should get more recognition for its lyrics.
Gave me some perspective
I friggin love this song.. I had a big crush on the bass player.

Esta es una de sus canciones más hermosas de Luscious. Y miren que tengo los discos y me gustan todas sus canciones.
those were the days...
long gone, never to return.
90s, second only to the 60s.... Best decade ever for women in rock, though...

Good Will Hunting! Will sure does lie a lot to Skylar.
Good song. This is the only band I know where the guitarist and bass player switch roles depending on the song.
