I love how badass extraordinaire Cloud spends like 90% of the fight on the defense. He knows he's a badass, the audience knows he's a badass, and we all know that short of a miracle he doesn't stand a snowball's chance in Hell against Sephiroth in a straight one on one. That's how you show your villain is not to be fucked with.

I can see it now: Cloud rushes in with a few battering, well placed strikes, Sora blocking them but being caught by a Low Sweep Kick by Cloud on the Right Ankle. He trips, but in his fall, he summons Fira to blast Cloud back from him (Cloud unfazed, luckily he has his Ribbon), Cloud then throws a Blade Beam towards Sora and follows his Beam alongside it (by flying), Sora blocks it and Cloud and Sora clash Blades. The REAL Battle begins. *FIGHT!!*

But he didn't use any item, so the entire movie he was just using attack command with some limitbreaks against three enemies at the same time that had mastered materia, cool... and some people say Zack is stronger???

In the original version of the movie, yes. This is the fight from Advent Children Complete; the extended version of the movie. They changed parts of the fight, so no shoulder stab in this version.
The most important part about that stab was that it clearly showed sephiroth as the victor. At that moment he could've easily killed cloud but killing was never his goal. He wants to torture cloud. His condescending towards what seems like a completely beaten opponent is why he is so surprised once cloud goes all badass.
You know... I understand that this is an asian movie, and they make quite different soundtracks over there, specially the action soundtracks. And... I simply can't bring myself to like them. I know this is an iconic FF-soundtrack, and it was really epic in some parts (like in 0:50 and 1:14 ), but mostly, it just felt... weird to me. Come on, you'd be lying if you said that the scene at 2:52 isn't ridiculous. I'm actually glad Kingsglaive went with more western soundtrack. But really, I'm not trying to offend anybody. Last time I wrote something like this in a video, maybe even _this_ video, many people felt offended... I don't have anything against this soundtrack, it just isn't for my ocidental years. xD And for those who feel like me... try listening to this with the extended version of "Opus Dei" (4:43 long), from Audiomachine. The fight scene itself is incredible and epic, and I think this soundtrack suits it so much better than the original one...
I personally dislike that guitar in it. I do very much enjoy the singing. I think it mostly earned all its praise because back in the day (1997) this hadn't been done before. For its time, it was a colossal boss fight with music yet unheard of. So it became Sephiroth's signature music, and there's multiple versions of it. I liked the one in Kingdom Hearts the most.

Many people hated this movie, I actually loved it. I have the complete version on bluray. Loved how in the complete version Sephiroth's sword hums when it moves. Got to love small detail. Cause in the dvd version the sword had no type of sound. Plus you get to see Cloud actually get his ass kicked.
Theres one for the first Advent Children and one for Advent Children Complete. Complete is the remastered movie with better details and more realistic blood.

I didn't understand the story in this movie at all though. Who are those 3 grey-haired kids and where did they come from? Why did embracing Jenova's head turn him into Sephiroth? Did he kill himself in order to do so? If so, why? And could all 3 of them turn into Sephiroth? What if Kadaj got killed and Loz grabbed the head? How does this all fit together?
The three kids are "sons" of Jenova, the guy that embraced his head is a body host for Sephiroth so that he can destroy the world and create a new one on top of it, whether or not they all could become Sephiroth I don't know but that's pretty much the goal of sephiroth

I didn't understand the story in this movie at all though. Who are those 3 grey-haired kids and where did they come from? Why did embracing Jenova's head turn him into Sephiroth? Did he kill himself in order to do so? If so, why? And could all 3 of them turn into Sephiroth? What if Kadaj got killed and Loz grabbed the head? How does this all fit together?
The three kids are "sons" of Jenova, the guy that embraced his head is a body host for Sephiroth so that he can destroy the world and create a new one on top of it, whether or not they all could become Sephiroth I don't know but that's pretty much the goal of sephiroth
