Frankly, I have never read anyone comment about that in Sephiroth's introduction, and given how much they want Sora and Dante, both of them are sword users, we can see that Smash fanbase is very bias.
Yes, and you can also notice how Sephiroth gets the black wing for the first time after his defeat, as if he evolved. Right before the scorpion boss in ff7r you see the black feather, meaning upgraded Sephiroth is present. Also, Aerith in the intro of ff7r looking afraid suddenly in the alleyway, marks the arrival of Sephiroth from advent children
This scene is amazing. Cloud and Sephiroth design looks perfect. Sephiroth looks scary and very intimidating. I heard that his hair was animated separatadely and his face was design to be angelic and "the face of someone you don't meet in the street".

I kind of like this version a bit more. Works a different way when you take the context of the game with this film in your mind. You almost dont need that Zack scene to fill in the dots. But both are pretty neat I just always found the Zack scene to break the pace of the fight too much for my liking

This was MIND-BLOWING graphics for the elementary school me. And his sword, so goddamn cool. Like, whats cooler than a sword? A bunch of swords combined into a bigger sword.
It's interesting, in all the other fights Cloud has in this, he's never really pushed, never worried of the outcome. He knows he's better than his adversaries, he's just biding his time, waiting for the opening to land the final hit. This fight though, you can tell he's being pushed hard and there is definitely a question as to who will win.

I watched this movie with people who never played the game. They didn't understand it. They had no idea why seeing the team reunite was so epic, why seeing Cloud fight Sephiroth was almost too much for me to bare. Even if they play the game, I don't think they'll ever truly understand.
Cloud is just as capable of cutting buildings as shown here. When two people can cut buildings you know their swords have to be kinda stronger than normal swords.
With beating the Remake version...I now understand that Sephiroth, like Genisis, didn't really die. They exist on another plane of existence. And, this is the only the beginning to something much, much more. That's crazy.

Cloud is essentially a regular person in the beginning of the game with enhanced strength that's why his HP and such are the same as Tifa's and Barret's and everyone else. By the end of the original game he and the rest of the group are doing much grander and more epic things because they are stronger. This is two years after that and Cloud is even stronger than at the end of FF7 original.

Basically EVERY Final Fantasy rocks. FF15, well, it was a Mess from Square to remove Tetsuya Nomura from his 10 Years Work, but tge Openworld & all the Side Stuff was absolutely Gold, and a unique Experience!
this movie is so special to me not only bc it’s a childhood favourite that my dad introduced but because final fantasy in general is so awesome!! and the graphics!!

this movie is so special to me not only bc it’s a childhood favourite that my dad introduced but because final fantasy in general is so awesome!! and the graphics!!
There has been some hefty competition of late especially from heavy-hitters like Promare, but I still think this is best cg fight of all time, though I can no longer call it unmatched i still can't think of anything above this realistically.
I love this "One Winged Angel" theme more than the complete movie version
