My dad loved this movie so much watching it he showed it to family that was coming over. He had no idea it was based on a video game....

Advent Children: Dude is literally jumping higher then the damn building, FF7 Remake: I cant make it across that gap, we’ll have to find a way around.
I understood why, because its just a game mechanic which I know you know, also Cloud showed he could just jump very high when he wants to especially in the remake when the spot he was standing broke apart when they were escaping after the first boss fight when he was with Barret and Jessie.
The Legend 27 Yeah I know, my head cannon is that he doesn’t just leap around cause of his party members.

The swords falling around him post-omnislash is the coolest thing ever.
What I don’t get is that when cloud was performing the omnislash, he collected the blades one by one, such that at the last strike all 6 blades are together in one. So why do they split when he falls?

In the "complete" version of this film,he stab Cloud right in the chest and slash some more on Cloud till Cloud get a real "bloodbath" by his own blood

Frankly, I have never read anyone comment about that in Sephiroth's introduction, and given how much they want Sora and Dante, both of them are sword users, we can see that Smash fanbase is very bias.

The extended version has Cloud taken a more brutal beating. Much more satisfying imho when Cloud uses Omnislash on Sephiroth
Indeed. This version shouldn't even have existed in comparison. All around worse edit. The Complete version even has the part where Cloud goes full Omnislash AND fails it the first time, love that part.
Oh, thank goodness I thought I was going insane. I knew Zack was supposed to share a few lines between the fight and was surprised it wasn't here. Didn't know that there were two versions

I kind of like this version a bit more. Works a different way when you take the context of the game with this film in your mind. You almost dont need that Zack scene to fill in the dots. But both are pretty neat I just always found the Zack scene to break the pace of the fight too much for my liking

Yes, and you can also notice how Sephiroth gets the black wing for the first time after his defeat, as if he evolved. Right before the scorpion boss in ff7r you see the black feather, meaning upgraded Sephiroth is present. Also, Aerith in the intro of ff7r looking afraid suddenly in the alleyway, marks the arrival of Sephiroth from advent children

This scene is amazing. Cloud and Sephiroth design looks perfect. Sephiroth looks scary and very intimidating. I heard that his hair was animated separatadely and his face was design to be angelic and "the face of someone you don't meet in the street".
They threw that away for the remake unfortunately
I think remake Sephiroth looks good. He's just not going to look as 'angelic' because the improved graphics = pores. Haha.

I know pretty much everything in the movie breaks all the laws of physics ( especially 1:28 - 1:48 ), but the animation and camera movement is so smooth it makes it feel normal and natural.

It's interesting, in all the other fights Cloud has in this, he's never really pushed, never worried of the outcome. He knows he's better than his adversaries, he's just biding his time, waiting for the opening to land the final hit. This fight though, you can tell he's being pushed hard and there is definitely a question as to who will win.

This was MIND-BLOWING graphics for the elementary school me.

This movie timeline was 2 years after the original story my friend,plus in the remake game he was just a rookie at start,give him a break..
Cloud is essentially a regular person in the beginning of the game with enhanced strength that's why his HP and such are the same as Tifa's and Barret's and everyone else. By the end of the original game he and the rest of the group are doing much grander and more epic things because they are stronger. This is two years after that and Cloud is even stronger than at the end of FF7 original.

I kinda prefer this version compared to the extended one due to the timing of the end of One Winged Angel happening once Sephiroth's wing shows, rather than when Cloud's attack finishes.

Came to see what he might look like in smash, and I have to say, I'm most certainly not disappointed
With beating the Remake version...I now understand that Sephiroth, like Genisis, didn't really die. They exist on another plane of existence. And, this is the only the beginning to something much, much more.
That's crazy.
At this point in the game and in the original, Sephiroth is dead. Like, dead dead (in a way). But without spoiling anything for later, there is a reason he keeps "appearing". ^_^ He's not in another plane of existence.
This just goes to show you that in life... as long as you have a sword, you can do all sorts of impossible things.
Imagine this being the final boss of the epilogue chapter of the remake in like 2028

Cloud is just as capable of cutting buildings as shown here. When two people can cut buildings you know their swords have to be kinda stronger than normal swords.

I watched this movie with people who never played the game. They didn't understand it. They had no idea why seeing the team reunite was so epic, why seeing Cloud fight Sephiroth was almost too much for me to bare. Even if they play the game, I don't think they'll ever truly understand.
This was a badass movie...better than most if not all hollywood produced in the last decade.
