The story mode is a drag, the cutscenes are great, the boss battles are unique to a point, the cutscenes are as great as the anime itself, the versus mode is where it's really at.

Lol I really did enjoy playing this game, but I completed it, unlocked everything, and earned all achievements in just two long play sessions. Also, they nailed the Rui vs. Tanjiro fight which is all I could ask for.
@@brandons2640 Personally I don't think it does. I don't particularly enjoy playing against people online and I don't feel like grinding out the last few training missions I have left. So, the only reason I'd go back and play the game again is if I wanted to replay some of the story fights or if they released some new DLC content.
It’s pretty fun, I really like the boss fights and the visuals are just like the anime. It also plays a lot like the Naruto storm games which I already love. I can’t wait for the demons to be playable in versus mode
This is completely unrelated to the game, but I feel like the one note character trait thing is only like a weird way to introduce a characters personality in the beginning, because whenever demon slayer kind of closes in on the character they tend to end up being really well rounded rather than just being one note, kind of like rengoku, or even zenitsu(he still wines all the time but he shows true care and lack of fear as his development from time to time)
even in manga, most characters still have only one trait and even out of those that get some backstory, most is only poorly writen cliches that are putted there to make you fell somethig right before character dies. In addition, there is no character developmemt at all, every single character is completly the same when they are introduced and in the end. The story is realy there just to kinda connect cool fight ideas, which in anime work good, in manga less so
I think people should wait to judge their characters as the anime progresses. Like they were JUST introduced in a season. Yeah Zenitsu is whiny, Tanjiro is kind, and Inosuke is wild, but they have a reason to be like that.
I know they will develop later on but introducing characters as one dimensional feels really sloppy as before they get developed they are still human beings that are three dimensional.

They will be pacing the game along side the anime so characters will be introduced throughout the series with most likely free updates. They already confirmed I think 8 free characters the 1st 2 being Rui and Akaza.
It isnt. Maybe story mode feels like storm because of the quick time event sections, but the story mode offers more interesting boss fights, diverse ennemies with different movesets (ennemy demons). As for the fighting itself, it uses new mechanics and removes others from the storm games. They added push block, parries, certain combo starters have different possible amount of extension. They removed substitution, long ranged throwables and the chakra dashes that used to be spamed a lot. They changed how awakenings work, now there are 2 stages, stage 1 allows for more speed and damage and stage 2 adds on top of boost unlimited energy for the duration of the awakening. I might be forgetting stuff, but the gane is different and will not be played the same has storm. It might look like just another storm type 3d arena fighter. But it will not play the same at all.

It’s pretty fun, I really like the boss fights and the visuals are just like the anime. It also plays a lot like the Naruto storm games which I already love. I can’t wait for the demons to be playable in versus mode

This is completely unrelated to the game, but I feel like the one note character trait thing is only like a weird way to introduce a characters personality in the beginning, because whenever demon slayer kind of closes in on the character they tend to end up being really well rounded rather than just being one note, kind of like rengoku, or even zenitsu(he still wines all the time but he shows true care and lack of fear as his development from time to time)
Yeah and later in the manga he changes a lot
even in manga, most characters still have only one trait and even out of those that get some backstory, most is only poorly writen cliches that are putted there to make you fell somethig right before character dies. In addition, there is no character developmemt at all, every single character is completly the same when they are introduced and in the end. The story is realy there just to kinda connect cool fight ideas, which in anime work good, in manga less so

I think people should wait to judge their characters as the anime progresses. Like they were JUST introduced in a season. Yeah Zenitsu is whiny, Tanjiro is kind, and Inosuke is wild, but they have a reason to be like that.
I know they will develop later on but introducing characters as one dimensional feels really sloppy as before they get developed they are still human beings that are three dimensional.

For me, the game artstyle is very good, but the problem with making a game based on a show is there is nothing new. When Dev doesnt want to use this chance for some teasers for season 2, people already know the ending and the whole storyline is. I might play it for the artstyle, but not for the story and the cutscene

@@nothingtoseehere9648 Honestly I hate Tanjiro the most out of the 3, simply because he wins every fight because of either a memory, a bullshit new mechanic that coincidentally counters his opponent in every way possible or the demon just feeling bad, never because he is actually stronger except for like 3/4 fights very early in the series.
Overall I think the writing, both story and characters in demon slayer, is really it's major weak point, but it's going to be enjoyable as an anime either way simply because of the audiovisuals the show has.

Since the crowd will always buy thier games as long as a popular brand is attached with it, the game devs behind those games won't innovate at all.
I first saw this with EA, then with behaviour, in an extra cocky way and now with those fighting games and it makes me sad that popular game devs rarley show the integrity old game devs studios had back then.
And during all of that i read a quote that summed the whole situation up in a very good way. "If you stay on top without having to try, you won't just give it your best because theres no need to" (among those lines im bad at remembering quotes)

They will be pacing the game along side the anime so characters will be introduced throughout the series with most likely free updates. They already confirmed I think 8 free characters the 1st 2 being Rui and Akaza.

DEMON SLAYER IS BAD
It isnt. Maybe story mode feels like storm because of the quick time event sections, but the story mode offers more interesting boss fights, diverse ennemies with different movesets (ennemy demons). As for the fighting itself, it uses new mechanics and removes others from the storm games. They added push block, parries, certain combo starters have different possible amount of extension. They removed substitution, long ranged throwables and the chakra dashes that used to be spamed a lot. They changed how awakenings work, now there are 2 stages, stage 1 allows for more speed and damage and stage 2 adds on top of boost unlimited energy for the duration of the awakening.
I might be forgetting stuff, but the gane is different and will not be played the same has storm. It might look like just another storm type 3d arena fighter. But it will not play the same at all.
Zenitsu has got to be my favourite character, they’re just cool.

I was really hoping they'd make this a character action game, the same genre as Devil May Cry and Bayonetta. Demon Slayer would fit that very well since we've seen demons that are just jobbers that even Tanjiro as a newbie has no problem just mowing down.

@@spartandumpster1158 Those were the demons they were able to capture alive there are very few of those normally they fight to the death those are new demons and Tanjiro doesn't exactly run into those very often especially since naturally demons cannot as in straight up cannot form groups out of trust or anything like that.
