i’m confused cause a lot of the cinematography and direction is actually pretty good. whoever made this has a good eye for action sequences, and it seems they’re working with what they’ve got (free unreal assets) to make their creativity come to life and i respect it.

He just needs to switch cameras about 10x less, lower the lens flare, and animate the eyes of everyone else instead of only the main character one out of five scenes. Also, the level that didn't work was actually a template level on Unreal Engine designed to show off particle effects. The entire level.

This camera work looks like something straight out of Stanley Kubrik's vision. They truly outdid themselves with the cinematography. The composition of some of these scenes will be studied for decades to come, not to mention the revolutionary gameplay and some of the most heart wrenching performances in the history of entertainment. Gaming has truly peaked. I can't wait for Hologram to crush Tears of the Kingdom, Wo Long, FFXVI and Starfield at the Game Awards 2023.

The section when he couldn't use his gun was Charlie at his old-school finest, just ripping on the game and the characters who stood around while he got peppered with gunfire and kicked in the air. It went on for quite a while on the stream. Hilarious stuff.
They just decided to put the boss fights in cutscenes instead of making you go through the pain of doing them yourself. You should be thanking them Charlie.
I'm literally getting Gears of War vibes from this game lol. Especially at 11:57. It's basically the "We need to find the Resonator" speech from Victor Hoffman. On top of that, it has similar camera like cutscenes with the helicopter scene at 12:15!
Funny enough this game reminds me of the other asset flip game called gene raine that charlie played that was gears of war inspired, watching this video makes me nostalgic in a weird way that isn’t good, but not horrible either
