I really love how for this one fight you can summon basically an army. Plus it is hilarious to watch patches spawn in and then say "f**k this s**t I'm out,"
Heres some fun facts about Radahn: 1) He learned gravity magic just so he didnt have to abandon his scrawny horse who he had since he was young. 2) The horses name is Leonard according to the files. 3) When you summon patches to the fight, he'll take one look at Radahn and peace out. 4) The Chad literally CONQUERED THE STARS. 5) He was actually holding back the meteorite that falls at the end of the boss fight. And the meteorite may or may not be Astel (just a little theory I have). 6) He actually is a good guy. Due to Malenia's scarlet rot, he slowly went insane and killed anyone like what Jerren says before the battle. And the fact theres a festival to put the fallen hero to rest is just wholesome, sad and amazing. Edit: heres a new one: 7) Radahn doesn't have feet.
I think the meteor is Astel because he’s literally in the hole where the meteor strikes down. And he’s a being from another world so it has to be Astel.
Damn i really like the astel theory, thats awesome! Radahn holding back that thing in his state? Just as if not cooler than just a normal huge ass star.

I just started fighting him now. Playing solo it would probably be hard, but since it feels intended to be played with summons, I'm doing that and it's way more fun because it feels like a battle. In summation, after having beaten him, I feel like summons are definitely the best way to fight him. Running around the field in the second phase constantly summoning at a distance saps all enjoyment from it and I would never try it. Just summon at the beginning, play aggressive with the others handling aggro and poise, then in the second phase handle him with your remaining summons or solo for extra fun. It's the only fight in the series where I would recommend summoning, and for good reason. Best boss so far, can't wait to fight him solo on NG+.

He did though, he just didn't keep it in on this edit. Chat was teasing him for not being able to beat the boss without cheesing with summons and magic which he would brag about and be so proud of being able to do in every boss. He got mad, started saying chat was backseating so much that he was just going to end it right quick by cheesing it, however I would bet that the truth is that he said that just as an excuse for cheesing the boss after his pride got hurt by chat's teasing... And then he still ended up dying a few more times even after doing all the cheese strategies, which hurt his pride even further I imagine. Some of his attacks do enough damage to one shot regardless. I had 35 levels in vigor plus 3 different buffs that stack extra levels on top. So I was probably close to 45 or so vigor and still got instakilled by some of his magic attacks.
For anyone struggling, here's some tips : *Start* - His tracking arrows (purple ones) cannot be dodged on horseback but they can be blocked if you stand behind the numerous weapons scattered across the battlefield. - Some of the summoning signs locations depends of your character's position on the arena. (For exemple Blaidd's sign can be found at the far left at the start but also along Patches's sign in front of Radhan) - The maiden's sign can be found left of where Radhan is standing while shooting his arrows (she provides healing while following the player). - Radhan will never shoot tracking arrows while the spears are following you. *Fighting Radhan Phase 1* - The safest place to be is behind his butt as he has only one attack that could hit you (but it is a 360° aoe so watch out). - At 3/4 health he will activate his Gravity powers by smashing his 2 swords on the ground in front of him giving a huge window to dish out damage. - When he pulls you in with his gravity power, avoid his 2nd hit by going behind him. It also gives you time to deal damage. - Blaidd or Alexander can stagger Radhan. If he is staggered, avoid doing a critical strike as the NPCs won't do any damage during your animation. *Fighting Radhan Phase 2* - His "jump" animation (to trigger phase 2) does no damage, take this opportunity to beat his ass. - To avoid his meteor move, immediately ride on horseback out of the way. - Shortly after landing Radhan will conjure forth 4 massive boulders. While doing so he is vulnerable at the back. Be warned these meteors are *INSTAKILL* if they hit you while also being extremely tricky to dodge. They will only start chasing you once Radhan takes some distance before charging at you full force. Best way to avoid the meteors is to run behind the hill on which he stands at the beginning as soon as he starts running away from you. Another way might be to run towards him but I have no concret evidence of success as of yet. The only brief respite from this is he will have to summon them back before he can pull that bs move again. - Another instakill is when he calls upon little gravity orbs. He will follow up with his pulling move, effectively killing you as you take 10+orbs to the face. You can dodge the "pull" if timed right or simply start running if you see him setup the orbs. *Some more infos* - He is weak to Scarlet rot and other afflictions (I used frost on him and it worked pretty well). - By chasing him behind on horseback, you can make the AI run in circle as you beat his horse's crippled ass (look up some videos on how it works). - The most effective way to kill him is to deal enough stagger damage during phase 1 to stun him before he jumps away. By doing this you can easily deal take 3/4 of his health bar. - Recommended lvl is 75 - Invest in healthpoints. Radhan can potentially 1 shot kill without any Vigor (and that dude combos a lot). - Screw this dude and his festival. Please feel free to add more infos or correct me if I'm wrong. Good luck brave tarnished. May -the Elden ring- Ranni give you strengh :P
there are i-frames mounting the horse WHEN moving / de-mounting WHEN NOT moving forward. So just let go of your forward movement control button or whatever console you are using, and unmount for a free dodge. This can be used if you cant get behind cover in time. And the horse sometimes tend to break the weapons on the ground if you get to close.. AND the seeking arrow hitboxes are wonky af and can sometimes go straight through them around the arena. So just practicing the mounting i-frames can save you from wasting flasks before getting to him.
I managed to beat him at lvl 45 and YES he could instakill me but honestly only thing I'd add here is just to be aggressive. Playing cautiously or defensively, especially as a STR build, WILL get you killed very easily. Bleed was a very good skill against him
@@tamiamorton7389 Yea I was a strengh build and got decimated the first few hours. It's only once I went ham on him and managed to get his health to 1/4 before phase 2 that I won. I went with the frozen ice dragon halberd and the many times I missed his ass because his horse just bolted out of the way after he swung his blades... I really love how for this one fight you can summon basically an army. Plus it is hilarious to watch patches spawn in and then say "f**k this s**t I'm out,"
Heres some fun facts about Radahn:
1) He learned gravity magic just so he didnt have to abandon his scrawny horse who he had since he was young.
Edit: heres a new one:
7) Radahn doesn't have feet.
I think the meteor is Astel because he’s literally in the hole where the meteor strikes down. And he’s a being from another world so it has to be Astel.

@@randomcrusader5632I really feel like her boss fight is kind of based on luck since one of her attacks is which she sometimes performs is near impossible to dodge and also pretty much one shots you.
You must have not fought Malenia yet
Malenia is truly a mence especially "that" attack if you know wht I mean
@@TakeTheFalll if you know, you know
@@TakeTheFalll Malenia is a hard boss, but u can easily win first try, depending on what build ur using
@@rippjo678 You can easily win first try? How do you dodge her weapon art on your first try without getting one-shotted?
@@gasparm.2711 You don't. He's bullshitting. No one with two brain cells would ever say "you can easily win first try."
I fought this guy by circling around on horse, my mini army rushing him down, and firing lightning like Gwyn down at him. Still took like 4 hrs of tries, awesome boss and tough as nails.
same here. even though it’s kinda cowardly it still felt great since that was what the game wanted you to do and it just added to the festival of war aspect
How did you fire lighting, can you use miracles on horseback?
@@yourfriendlyneighborhoodla2091 Yes, you can. Press triangle or Y + LB on horseback to put your left-hand weapon to your right hand (If you use left hand for incantations)
@@MrStrelecek You could also just put your incantation caster in your right hand and do it that way. But ya, you can cast any spells from horseback, and some you can keep moving, some mostly stop you like heal.

Oh god Malenia is gonna be a nightmare fight. Can't wait to see his reaction to the bullshit that is the 1000 cuts move halfway through phase 1

@I’ve still never taken an L Seek a therapist, attention seeker.
that moment you call a bot an attention seeker
that move is so easy to dodge just roll under her lol
Critical is so good at souls game he literally saw the future with this title.
just spent an hour beating him alone. He's tough! But it was sooo good when I finally beat him
cool
Mad fucking respect man I was having a hard time killing him with summons
any tips on how to farm runes and lvl if you're new?
Trolls. There's 2 of them chained up south of the bridge where you first meet finger lady. Bonfire in the ruins right next to their spawn 1k ea for runes
@@manos_sv4290 yes lookup rune farming method. It’s a method in caelim where you back stab these little enemies that give you 1000 per kill and there’s alot of them. Be careful tho because at low levels they can 1-2 hit you so as long as you are stealthy you’ll be fine
him calling Rock Sling a terrible spell is absolutely wild, still to this day is it one of the best spells in the game
I never expected a raid boss in a souls-like game, but Radahn surpasses all expectations in that category
ruclips.net/video/GcdoJCMKTdk/видео.html
Rock Sling is amazing Charlie. It can easily do enough poise damage to stagger things with.
"im not gonna cheese him with magic"
charlie 5 seconds later: *spamming meteors*
This aged like the world's best tasting fine wine
I never thought I'd see a raid boss in a Souls game. Charlie is an absolute madman for trying to solo him before figuring out that you're supposed to summon NPC's.
its funny because if u watched the stream you would realise he knew from the start that summoning was smart but he never did. Then after dying a fuck ton of times he still just wouldnt summon because he wanted to solo him then after awhile he decided to ONLY summon like he would just ride around the map on his horse trying to summon only without even trying to melee him lol. Like the first time he got him to his second phase he didnt even get to see his new moveset because he was so far away from him trying to summon
what do you mean you're supposed to? I just did it with no summons, albeit at somewhat of an overlevel (87, think its balanced around 70-75, charlie is WAY WAY underleveled here). I definitely don't think they made the boss with the intention that you're gonna spam resummon while running away the whole fight
lol this isn't a raid boss, this isn't even equivalent to one of those quivering/cowering lesser undead from the starting zone when you compare Radahn to Malenia. I one shot radahn at level 40. I'm level 130 now and still cant kill this bitch. The first time I've ever been close to just quitting a souls game, tonight's my last night trying to kill her that's how dog shit the fight is.
@@crakkajac7856 cry
The way he plays the game is insane he's so relaxed 😭
I struggled a lot with Radahn. As a strength build it took me almost 9 hours to beat him.
second time around I used sword of night and flame and killed him in 2 tries XD
Wait until you reach Godskin duo. The boss was straight up not designed about meele builds. It is almost impossible to do solo with meele.
@@ststudios12345 facts bro. they made me swap out my dex bleed build for a night and flame faith build lmao
@@ststudios12345 godskin duo wasn't that bad for me, though I used mimic tear. It felt like one of the godskin guys would be pretty passive at a time when both were out and you could get a good amount of jumping r2's in.
The boss that comes after, on the other hand...
ststudios12345 it’s literally a 500x easier version of oristein and Smaug not even hard
If charlie had any levels in vigor to avoid one shots he would save himself so much suffering, but at the same time he seems to enjoy the experience regardless haha
Some of his attacks do enough damage to one shot regardless. I had 35 levels in vigor plus 3 different buffs that stack extra levels on top. So I was probably close to 45 or so vigor and still got instakilled by some of his magic attacks.
@@MintyLime703 I had like 25 vigor with radagons soreseal and only got one shot via the meteors and big slam.
Nah I had like 30 vigor and still got one shot lol
For anyone struggling, here's some tips :
*Start*
- His tracking arrows (purple ones) cannot be dodged on horseback but they can be blocked if you stand behind the numerous weapons scattered across the battlefield.
- Some of the summoning signs locations depends of your character's position on the arena. (For exemple Blaidd's sign can be found at the far left at the start but also along Patches's sign in front of Radhan)
- The maiden's sign can be found left of where Radhan is standing while shooting his arrows (she provides healing while following the player).
- Radhan will never shoot tracking arrows while the spears are following you.
*Fighting Radhan Phase 1*
- The safest place to be is behind his butt as he has only one attack that could hit you (but it is a 360° aoe so watch out).
*Fighting Radhan Phase 2*
- His "jump" animation (to trigger phase 2) does no damage, take this opportunity to beat his ass.
*Some more infos*
- He is weak to Scarlet rot and other afflictions (I used frost on him and it worked pretty well).
- Recommended lvl is 75
- Invest in healthpoints.
Just dodge and use magic ez clap
there are i-frames mounting the horse WHEN moving / de-mounting WHEN NOT moving forward.
He hits hard and can easily dodge Strengh builds weapon swings as we are too slow. I went with the frozen ice dragon halberd and the many times I missed his ass because his horse just bolted out of the way after he swung his blades...
Meh it was pretty enjoyable tho, only move I truly despised was the meteors. Tracking OS moves have never been my cup of tea.
@@silverwolf3625 😂I feel ya on the meteors. Strafing left or right as you see them coming made it pretty easy to avoid (for the little ones) but I had a ton of practice doing the same with mages. I had to kill him fast before he could try the big meteors tho😅those were a mf
The summons make the fight feel like a grand war, kinda reminds me of the Burnt Ivory King from DS2. The desert map feels like the fight between Archer and Rider in Fate/Zero
Oops, wrong radahn video
"You can't do that fight without summons"
"I'm pretty sure I can"
Famous last words
"we're learning" hits him for a sliver of health and then gets annihilated
Watching all your companions running towards the enemy in this beautiful arena really reminds me why I love video games
He was 2 years early
There is one thing i loved about the Radahn fight, Once you summon all the warriors it feels like a huge raid boss
Bro predicted it for the dlc
Radahn was such a visually stunning fight. Leading an army into battle was such a hyped up feeling
Rock Sling gets a buff from the Meteorite Staff. Honestly I've been using Rock Sling on every boss/larger enemies. Ridiculous range and awesome damage, also stance breaks enemies really fast.
Just an fyi. The sword wasnt doing anywhere near the broken damage it does at max +10 and being scaled up with int/faith properly. I do like 2500 damage i believe with the beam. Its crazy.
It’s kind of insane that he’s still somehow correct about this statement after the DLC
Bro predictet the future
bro has NOT fought spawn of oggdo
The more I watch this guy. The more I really do appreciate his demeanor. Truly
I was literally think to myself about how immature i am because i would’ve broke something
He's silly, baddass and wholesome at the same time
-Silly:He rides a tiny horse around and in one combo the horse got sunk into the sand so after the combo he pulls it out of the ground to keep riding it
-Baddass:The guy literally forced the stars to stop moving by himself
-Wholesome:He figured out how to use gravitation magic just to keep riding his horse
rahdan is the hardest boss in souls, that aged well (sote)
"Rock sling is a terrible spell" I never thought someone would ever say something like that.
he is pretty tough, but fun nonetheless. interested to see how tough he’ll be in ng+ and beyond
He becomes fodder in NG+ games. I killed him before he popped his 2nd phase. Check my latest video, that's Radahn on NG+3
Radahn is at about the halfway mark, so you should be pretty OP by the time you get to him in NG+.
I imagine the health and damage is increased for early to mid-game points by at least 25%.

This is my first time playing a game in the dark souls series and I’m loving every minute of it, it was very challenging at first but the game actually made me want to get better more than any other game I’ve played.
Yeah it's a fantastic game. I 100% recommend playing all the Dark Souls games, even Bloodbourne too. Bloodbourne is actually very challenging, harder than Dark Souls 3 for me.
dont get too frustrated if you hit a brick wall with a boss. Like vaati said, the bosses dont block the path, they are the path, and by overleveling, a tactical change, a respec and gear change or through straight perseverance you can easily wipe any boss you come across.
@@TheTasterr at first I was loosing to Margit over and over again, but then I decided to just take my losses and explore when I came back higher leveled he wasn’t as hard and for godrick I beat him my first attempt, exited for what comes next!
