The QD point on the front can not be used without the MFR™ RAIL (M-LOK®) QD SLING MOUNT, which is installed on the rear part of the rail. The one on the rear has to be aligned before using though. I did the nut holding it loose, inserted the sling mount and then tightened the nut. Works fine.

Blue Gunner that is the length I have truly wanted. I almost bought the BCM RECCE 12 SBR. When DD offered their 12.5” last month as one of their exclusive uppers I was tempted to make the purchase but I passed as it was not a price I was willing to pay. As much as I love my DD, I choose BCM for my AR Pistol years ago. I look forward to your BCM video.

Also the 26 inches is measure when the adjustable brace if fully collapsed and if there’s a folder then when the brace is folded. It’s definitely under 26 otherwise it’s no longer a pistol. Less than 16 in barrel, no stock, and less than 26 in its most compact form is a pistol and no fore grip. Change it to be over 26 then it’s not a pistol but also not an nfa item and you can have a fore grip.

I had the same problem with my standard M4V7 and the QD mount. I was able to install it by clipping my sling into the mount plate before installing it so it lined up properly on the rail while installing (basically using the attachment as a guide), then removing sling to tighten the mount plate down in the rail. You commented that you wish you would have gone with the lower 1/3 cowitness, which is the LT660HK, and according to Larue Tactical's website, sits lower than the LT751. The LT660 mount is the tallest mount, and allows 1/3 cowitness with the iron sights. Did you mean that you would have preferred the taller mount (LT660)? Also, did you compare the Aimpoint H-2 with the Trijicon MRO? Just curious.

Nice set up man. I just got a DDM4V7 pistol with the law tactical folder. It is my first ar pistol and i like it a lot. How dow you like that geissele catch? I put a geissele h2 buffer with super 42 spring, geissele airbourn charging handle, geissele ssa trigger ,geissele safety, magpul mbus back ups, and a trijicon mro ( with scalarworks 1.57 mount. The ambi safety is weird cause both sides are same size. Needs to be a short and a regular length. The DDh buffer works fine but the Geissele H2 buffer and spring will make a difference in felt recoil, reduces the twang sound , and makes it a little smoother cycling. It isn t that expensive ( about 100 bucks or so ) and well worth it. Mine was manufactured 4/20/22 so maybe they fixed the qd issues. Mine came with that law tactical folder and the brace that they use. I really like the brace u installed and want to do the same. How hard is it to change? What do i have to replace? I do not like the fixed irons because it clutters the window so i use the magpul flip up mbus sights. I also like the scalarworks 1.57 ( 1/3rd ) mount. Nice set up man and you have chosen some great upgrades

Both are good forging but, my OCD and management/Production skills would not let that fly. Should have used the same forgings or a lower that is not stamped. Cero is the only company I know of that stamps their lowers at the forge. Heck Ruger is a $600 AR and it uses a matched pair of Cero receivers! Apparently, DD is using the same product for a much higher price to the customer.

Now it's 2021, it has to be 26 in measured from the back of the buffer tube with the arm brace removed to the end of the threading of the barrel not including the muzzle device, AND not including the law tactical folder. If you were to remove the law tactical folder and measure from the back of the buffer tube to the end of the threading of the barrel, that is definitely not 26 in. Wrong. 26" or over is all good. Heck with that vertical grip, even if your rifle was less than 26" it would still be good. ATF definition requires a 90 degree from barrel to magwell, and this grip is about 86 degrees.

Don't run the BAD lever with that flat faced trigger. You won't have enough space and it gets annoying, at least it did for me. Just go curved bow if you want a BAD lever type of device.
And for goodness sake man just give the 45 degree throw a try on that Radian Talon safety!! you will like it a whole lot more since it is easier to actuate and can be done with one hand easier than having to go full 90.

I think so, too. And the attitude, "If ___ comes calling and it's a problem, I'll deal with that then," is a very dangerous attitude to have.

Why buy a $2,000 gun if you are going to gut it 😂mind as well buy a ruger and then buy all your extra parts.

Because I can mostly. But I kept some of the essential components installed (barrel, receivers, rail). And it’s not like I threw out the DD stuff. I still have factory parts that I can use as quality back ups while I experiment with new gear.
