"Het Wilhelmus" | Dutch National Anthem at Dutch Royal Funeral 1934 to 2004

- Lately, many have commented that the Dutch national anthem "Het Wilhelmus" is a really smooth and beautiful song, for that today I am uploading it. Since today (I uploaded it) on October 15, which was exactly 19 years ago ( 15 October 2002) is the funeral date of Prince Claus, husband of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. The video contains a clip of "Het Wilhelmus" playing at Prince Henry's funeral or "Prins Hendrik" in Dutch, where Prince Henry was the husband of the deceased Queen Wilhelmina in 1934 until the funeral of Queen Juliana's husband, namely Prince Bernhard in December 2004. Here I only show the funeral of the queen of the Netherlands or her consort. So I don't include the others, besides that it is difficult to find such as the funeral of Prince Friso (2013) and Princess Christina's funeral (2019). For this reason, this video may have many shortcomings and if there are data errors or you find something appropriate That's useful where I haven't found it, please comment below.

Did you know the Wilhelmus has 15 couplets. Inside the church of Juliana's funeral they sang the last one. Usually, when the anthem plays, we only sing the first couplet. The 6th couplet can be added when the setting is more formal or has something to do with the church. (as heard at the anthem in the church at Wilhelmina's and Bernhard's funeral).
Only in very, very special occasions other couplets can be sang. This can be during a funeral or something else.
The lyrics of the last couplet:
Dutch;
Voor God wil ik belijden
en zijner groten macht,
dat ik tot genen tijden
den Koning heb veracht,
dan dat ik God den Heere,
der hoogsten Majesteit,
heb moeten obediëren
in der gerechtigheid.
English (direct translate);
Before God I want to confess

This is the world's first national anthem, written between 1569 and 1572, when (Protestant) William of Orange aka Wilhelm van Nassau declared independence from Catholic Spain. Nederlands achieved independence in 1581. William was assassinated by gun in 1584 by a Spaniard promised a reward by the Spanish King. After being tortured and dismembered, the assassin was not in any position to received his reward.
I am amused that the Royal family does not seem to know the words of the anthem. The independence of The Netherlands is central to the Renaissance, it is not irrelevant.
