My Dad's p226 has made in W. Germany etched on the slide. It's a fun little piece of history that this gun was around before the Berlin Wall came down.
Travis Seger My history professor gave us a map from the mid 70s to show us how many countries have changed since then, it definitely surprised allot of people.
Definitely a classic pistol. Fantastic carry pistol, with the 17 round und flush magazines. My husband and I, each have one for our vehicle pistol. Thanks for sharing this video.
@@brycealthoff8092 I feel you man. I bought mine on layaway and paid it off over three months. No way I could drop that much money all at once right now either.
Lul Llipop Alex C as well was an excellent presenter. Miles Vining is a great writer but his Jesse Eisenberg entering puberty voice was way too distracting to listen to.
How so? Everyone's grip is different, the relationship between your body and the firearm differs from person to person, and this is what works best for me. I prefer a forward thumb hold, and placing my right thumb over my left hand because otherwise I've had issues with accidentally pressing down on the slide release/lock. -Miles V
Specifically? I couldn't say, I'm not standing next to you, but there is no reason you should be getting the sort of muzzle flip we see in this video from a 9mm. Especially not a full-framed, heavy pistol like the P226. The only explanation is poor grip. I'm not tossing insults, just making an observation. Someone said you couldn't handle the recoil. I don't believe that is true, there just needs to be some adjustment to your grip... in whichever way works for you.
I like James but I greatly prefer this style that's closer to when Alex made them. There's no wind and background noise that's really distracting and it really detracts from the video. Here it's much easier to watch.
This video sure is informative and kind of reminds me of Alex C in terms of video editing/format but still doesn't quite bring it up to par with his videos. I hope Alex is doing well with his new career now, I sure do miss him.
mcjagermech His videos aren't Hollywood material, that's certain. But he was a huge foundation in setting up TFB TV as it is today. His attitude is real mellow with a hint of sass and subjective opinion here and there. He's informative on a lot of firearms and offers interesting perspectives, while keeping it entertaining and not just droning on endlessly. That's why I like him, personally. A lot of the top videos on the channel, are Alex's videos perhaps for good reason.
There should be more videos with Miles V, no offense to james, but miles seems more like alex in his videos, in his information of the firearms, its use in the military and it's history
You really need to learn how to grip and hold your firearm. The P226 does not flip like that if youre holding on to it. Looks like you are shooting a .50 cal. Desert Eagle, Geeesh.
I think I'd still rather have a Mark 23 those are built like Tanks and I heard bad things about Sigs made in the US. MAC had a video where a P226 Legion struggled in his Torture Tests while a Slovenian P226 clone did way better.

I rented one of these from my local indoor range years ago, and I have wanted one ever since. The gun just feels great to shoot!
Make your dreams come true brother. Go and get one!

I don't know who this guy is, but I miss Mr Reeves and his lady shorts.
channel is going downhill
Lul Llipop Alex C as well was an excellent presenter. Miles Vining is a great writer but his Jesse Eisenberg entering puberty voice was way too distracting to listen to.
Apologies? We have other presenters if you prefer their baritone voices.
-Miles V
Better look into hiring Jon St. John, TFB. Your viewers prefer dark, manly voices whispering sweet nothings in their ears
You did a fine job. You sound like a regular dude and your information was spot on. Don't worry about the video groupies...
We need more Alex C and Military surplus.
I like this new guy. Keep them coming!
Wow! A compliment! Thanks man!
-Miles V
Great review on a great firearm. I love my P226 MK25
This guy cant handle the recoil of a 9mm lol.
He could definitely handle the recoil but his grip is terrible. Just because your hands are 'in the right place' doesn't mean you're doing it right.

Don't bring this nerd back, please.
Stfu dude, you have no clout
Who is this squid? James or nothing.
Cambone13 his name is Miles and he is a former marine
Yea, I take offense to the squid reference...

What a beautiful pistol!!

darkspire91 i miss alex
You forgot to mention the CHROME-LINED PHOSPHATE-COATED BARREL!
how many rounds are through that thing? So much wear on the barrel and Barrel Hood I'm surprised. I assume you don't use Grease
i like the older p226 without the rail all together. i have no need for a rail, and in my opinion a rail is just an ugly feature on a pistol.
good vid, can we have more historical ones? also whats the text top 5 or 10 gonna be?
why do he shoot like that its weird
Jewski Twootimez The way you write is weird....
Jewski Twootimez yeah I noticed it too I don't know what it is, like he is scared
Proper grip? Thumb pointing downrange? Trigger Reset? How is any of this weird?
-Miles V
Good vid. Thanks for sharing.
You make this look like a 44 Magnum when you shoot it , lol 🤣
Really like the Sig's but they are just SO anti-left hand that they have never been on my list of need to haves. Another great video thanks!
docleafman I'm a lefty and the classic Sig P series pistols have been, and continue to be, among my favorite shooters.
Oh, they shoot great! I just don't like their control set up for index finger manipulation. I'm more familiar with the colt/browning set up.
Anyway, this review was way better sounding than your AKS 74U one.
So the AKS74U one was recorded with a bad mic, and I didn't really present very well, but I'm working on it.
-Miles V
Oh that P229-1 Extreme!! Hardly any coverage of that baby! (not like it's all the different than any other P229, P229-1, or M11A1)
winter snow > flexible gun laws

He bored me and came off as a gun snob. His collection was pretty sweet though
Thanks!

This guy needs a check list from the other guys
I think if people gave this guy time he could review stuff well, I don't think the hate is warranted.
forgot to mention the different extractors
What about the internal parts? Are they friends like in the Face Wesson Specialist??
wheres all the videos with alex like in tbe older videos where he just talks about the gun and takes some shots
Very good pistol ...
There should be more videos with Miles V, no offense to james, but miles seems more like alex in his videos, in his information of the firearms, its use in the military and it's history
The pistol you are comparing it to is a P229 that you keep calling a p226.
It is a 229, I didn't have a plain jane 226 on hand, so I did the best I could.
-Miles V
Nice patina on your mk 25, mine has been a safe queen for 5 years and has never been shot... lol
It's actually not mine! A friend graciously lent it to me for the making of this video. The 229 is mine though.
-Miles V
P226 love. Right there.
i gave it a thumbs up, but it was boring.
Would like to see a HK Mk23 on the channel
UltraCuddleBuddy They did a video on it. You can find it without much digging.
dude you said you gonna make a review on the gilboa, if you changed your mind please let me know , dont leave me hanging
Is it me or his grip technique is wrong? looks like he's not holding the gun firmly enough. Just asking what it looks like to my eyes no offense meant
Alvaro Navarro you're right. The gun shouldn't flip like that. He probably ain't locking his wrists either.
Just bought one
I more like the sig 220 as unlike the 226, its a .45 calibre
too bad it sacked so bad they replaced it with the glock 19.
jk jk everyone. it's a fantastic gun, I just had to.
Wow the first video on this channel I did not enjoy watching.
Sauer Sig?
Looks a bit like a P250 Handgun
MCEDIXX no
More content !
As in more videos? Or longer? Specify and we shall deliver!

+TFB TV both more videos and longer content and we shall watch lol
somehow the video seems so slow
this dude can't read out of the book very well
much better
disassembly? really?
Did you change the grips? My MK25 has different grips
Yes, the grips are aftermarket Hogue, that my buddy put on the gun.
-Miles V
Meh, Arex Rex Zero 1 for half the price.
Peter Gremmer thought about one of those myself.... until I seen the saftey! makes it an absolute NO BUY for me!

Anyone else cringe a little when he fingered the chamber?

sig sour lmao
Please don't let this guy make another video
We have other video presenters you can watch, if you don't like the way mine are.
-Miles V
limp wrist. why?
69th
This video is a huge disappointment
I wish more manufacturers would go back to hammer fired instead of striker fired! Much safer too! Striker fired pistols have no real safety.
