- This video is more of tutorial showing how you can make things modular using N key tools. I also show how to grab a color palette from one creation and use it on another with at least one method. I did not fully complete this build this video but you can see that it would not take much longer to finish.
Also noted I am missing a letter on the caption of the video picture. I have since fixed it but it seems to only show the old one yet with landing misspelled as laning. :) Just FYI and I am trying to fix it.
Thanks Jeff, I needed this landing pad tutorial for a long time. I use Kriel Beholder a lot in my saves, and I didn't find a landing pad for her in the workshop. I have to keep improvising, now I can do it.

Thank you for doing these videos. I have learned so much about block groups and texturing from watching these videos and examining your builds.
If you weren't aware, you can right-click on tiles in the color/texture window to select them without closing the window. I know it will fight your muscle memory, but it makes it quick to right-click a color then left-click a texture and only bring up the window once.

Hi Jeff, Nice design but i think you could try to make modular foundation with 4 block foot. It's easy to copy paste and better structural integrity.
For example, 4 half cylinders in the corners make a full cylinder after copy paste. Ceiling blocks are very good to make nice modular builds and easy to texture too. You nee to use Symmetry mod between the blocks and not in the center. If you build vertical like a wall is easy than building under it and looking up all the time. Have a nice weekend.
When I first start playing this game I thought tomyself looking at some of the ships well I will never build a ship I'll just. Factory them in but I've been watching you for several weeks now and I think I'm getting the confidence to actually try to build a HV I mean I'm sure I can go and build a box I want to build something with curves and angles and man really give it some Flair
Put a block down, keep going and never look back :) Once you've learnt the angles it kinda all fits into place
That was awesome to get a peek behind the curtain of your process of doing modular construction. That Skaar POI is intense, I can't wait till Friday to see how your run-through goes! Escarli put a sweet CV on his workshop, it has a lot of Kriel influence. I told him that he needs to make the glowies purple. It is green at the moment. I love his builds!!!
i have to admit one one hand its frustrating watching you build because you really do make it look so effortless all the while you dog youself as your making it. on the other hand i think just about everyone is blown away by just about everything you make. i learn a lot about building while watching your stuff and dissecting your builds in creative. "I got distracted trying out some angles" and builds a freaking cool as shit poi. you got a natural talent for these kinds of things and Im always waiting to see what you do next. keep up the completely awesome work m8.
The reality is that is what makes Jeff so damn good, He is a perfectionist as am I, and refuses to put out or call anything finished unless it meets his personal standards. I do the same thing. I beat myself up over things that people say are good. I say to myself, "but yeah I missed those textures on the bottom". :D

been playing around with this concept for the last week not much progress though.
was interesting to watch you building stuf. I personaly wont to do a litle kriel like HV's lets see.
