Thanks Spanj! I have 5000+ hours into EGS and I had forgotten about the second color palette! And highlighting an entire structure I did not know existed.
During the "Lock" Tool section of the video you forgot to talk about Ctrl+RMB Copy of block textures and Shapes. This feature copies all textures on all sides of a block even if they are all different textures and colors. In addition it copies orientation of the target block, the Shape and type of target block. Even if you have another block type selected in your hotbar.
I learned just about all of my building skills from watching you Spanj. Whether that is a compliment or not, well....... 🙂 If you feel up for another video like this, it might be worth doing a "Greatest Hits" when it comes to common block shape combinations. I know that learning those helped a ton
Big thanks to the phantom block issue, it's been killing me. I did have some success with the symmetry plane where one side had a space where I couldn't place a block, but the symmetrical side placed it for me when I placed the other side instead. Still proper use of the tools should help greatly.

Hello Spanj, I found this series a few days ago and wish I'd found it before I built anything! I've only built a base, and rebuilt it with improvements after using the original in my current game. I tried to build a sv but it looked like a giant paperweight. Perhaps I'll retry at a later date but, I'm working on getting the material for your Nightshade MKV. I like that it has warp capability, as the warp core is friggen huge and seems hard to put into an already built ship, like the Nightshade MKVI. Thanks for all the info it'll surely come in handy as I learn more and progress throughout the game. Take care and have a stupendous week.

DUDE WTF been working on a build all daay issoloating parts and saving them to the list and now the list is gone jyst gone fucking nowhere just gone? maybe tell ppl that the parts list just deletes itsself

that show oxygen update is soo much better, so annoying when looking for leaks, but its seems those days are past us now

nope, just have to find some unclaimed asteroids
is it posible to copy base parts to a cv? i mean build a cv plateau and paste a copyed base part on it?
yes, but you may make that CV invalid for survival mode as some base blocks cannot be on a CV, creative mode will let you do it though
