went back and looked at most of the trucks you and your team have done. i think my favorite is the one you done for wiil patton. all though this one looks like it would be nice. was wondering do you have a favorite?
Nice Pete, Have you done any 389's with exhaust under the frame instead of vertical stacks ? I have seen a couple 389 flattop's with that setup. Gives it a clean look and easier to see when backing.
I guess with the grass burning exhaust set up stacks would be just for show. But I’d try to run a y pipe and then put the stacks up behind the sleeper on frame mounted brackets and of course a 14” gangster visor painted to match
10 footer 8 inch stacks with a 18 inch texas bumper you know that truck not going to be there to much longer.i would like to have one built like this one here.nice work.
This would work perfect for a person who runs long local and only gets stuck out 4-5 times a year. I would love a small sleeper on the truck i run (local as in 6-700miles/day) home at night running tanker
You know anyone who rebuilds old Pete's or restores them, I found a couple out in Texas look like they've been parked awhile one had the single round headlights but it was rough!
Haven't seen a sleeper that small since my first Pete 352 next four had 110 inch cab, my one and only, hood a 359 60 inch nice truck everyone of them, pull toy here 😀
@@stevo68 I started driving in 1982 and I pulled flatbed in the lower 48 with a R Model Mack & a crawl in 36” sleeper and it had a 5 speed, 300hp motor with no jake brake!! I went home one weekend a month.
FYI, back in the old days a coffin sleeper was a 32-36 inch bunk that had an opening the size of the back window in between the cab and sleeper you would have to climb thru. And when you were in that little sleeper it felt like a coffin. Sorydon't mean, to be a Karen bout that but it isn't a coffinsleeper.
Hi Steve, how reliable been that under frame exhaust and dpf versus the traditional dpf box on the helper side ? Is it better maintenance and weight wise ? I understand that people spec it that way for the added real storage and air tank but is there any more pro's ? Cheaper setup maybe ? Thanks.
So did Peterbilt start putting a light ever so often on the frame about like Kenworths do? I’ve seen lately then ones likes that’s about the tank on this one
@@hartselltv2191 The thought is if a car is passing the truck and the truck turns on his turn signal to change lanes he will see that light a bit easier if there beside the tractor.
You take a 15 w9L for trade? That is sweet man ( Totally joking on the trade brother ) Nice looking ride y'all I'd love to trade camps But I'm stuck like chuck
Why would you waste the money to pay for factory exhaust when you plan to put a different exhaust on it from new? Same reason they don't put a visor or big bumper on or even roof lights. You don't get new prices out of take off parts.
Round hole wheels, yes, look better than the ovals every time. Throw away bumper? Ok, throw it over here. That bumper will never get bent... fogs and chicken lights on it and it looks great. Extra roof markers, or no roof markers, and whats with no 4 air horns up top? I don't get fake exhaust up high while weed burning underneath... Just observations I see on what is out there... Visors that block the windshield? Why not take the glass out, put solid panels in with peep holes cut into them, not too big though, hafta look cool. Why a fancy air seat, gonna sit on the floor anyway, coolness factor. Just fasten a hemorrhoid donut to the floor... I like old school cool. This is a nice truck. I'd take it and fixr up my way. Jus'sayin...
@@jamescocompany7979 The small sleeper, the low low air left, car hauler front axle, the wheelbase, no visor, cheap front bumper since it would be replaced. I hauled cars for a few years. Just kinda can pick out a car hauler I guess.

hey how about showing the sleeper next time.
Neat to see the older 357-style single headlights on that truck.
Lowback seats with a view, weight reduction, minimal lights, my favorite color. The only thing missing is a wet kit. 😍
That’s a great looking truck. With stacks and double round headlights it would be even better but I really like it.
The title says car hauler, so im assuming thats why the coffin sleeper and no stacks.
That is sweet...... Steve never ceases to amaze 👍👍👍👍
Awesome love the fenders you make the nicest rigs no doubt
Good to see ya back Steve. Nice truck
So damn beautiful! Those ultra headlights look so much better, too.

PDI has an elbow they make (or have made) to run pipes that are functional. FYI

Make s great "BOVINE LIMOUSINE" w/53' spread axle
Did peterbilt solved the passenger side window going up and down really slowly..

are those headlights stock and why dont you see many with them?
Almost made the 300” club~

What's the stamped weight ?
Any with the new dash?
Make a super sharp car hauler!!!!
Last of the the gauge pack production
Not my cup of tea but color is eye catching. Love the headlights too
Waiting patiently....
Oof, that is a uh... unique and very specific set of options to try and rehome. But if anyone could do it, it's Steve.
Would make a great truck to pull a race car trailer to the track every weekend...

No maintenance or reliability differences at all. Obviously lighter with one horizontal vs 2 vertical stacks, horizontal is $1500 less

That is the DOT saving the world again. I forget the exactly what the wheelbase is but if it's so long they have to put that light on it.
