I’m a 59 yr old Hispanic that never learned how to cook nor do I enjoy it. so of course it shows in my food. At 45 I found a “Mexican cookbook” and have had pretty good luck with the recipes, they me me look like a good cook, I impressed myself. After finding you and your recipes I see that I can do so much better. I’d love to have a couple of cookbooks also to give as gifts. I’m having the whole family over for Thanksgiving and I’m going to wow! them with your Pozole. I’ll let you know how it turns out.

My father taught my mom how to cook, but since we lost him about 8yrs ago we lost a lot of the recipes he knew from his mother. Thank you so much for showing the proper way to make this delicious soup. I had it for the first time some 30+ yrs ago when my Aunt made a huge pot. I was never able to get her to share her recipe. And have tried over the yrs to replicate it but it was never the same until I found you and your recipe. I quickly went and got everything for it. Oh my goodness the memories it brought back. I had it for dinner that night and I canned every precious drop that was left so I could enjoy it later.
I so enjoy watching you cook everything. And watching you make different things like you flour and corn tortillas and tamelas. I wish I had my family at home (kids are all grown). Because I could cook up a storm.

I have tasted and loved true Mexican food at friends homes but never tried to make it myself because I was so close to everyone, I didn't have to cook. Now I am far away from my friends with no access to real Mexican food (restaurants around me have bastardized the food to make it more appealing to uncultured American palates and it's sad). Hello Rachael, thank you so much for posting your recipes, so far I made Bunuelos, my grandchildren just loved them. I'll be trying the pozole recipe. I live in Idaho so the weather is perfect for Pozole, I will look for the salsa recipe. Thank You. There are soo many videos on cooking but I like yours's the best. Thanks for sharing and being a great cook to share.

I'm a dark man that has worked with paisa for most of my life. A month or so ago, a Latina let me and some amigos try some of her pozoles, and I've been sprung ever since. I always take my time and watch a lot of videos before I try cooking something new, and this is the best video yet. I brought a strainer today and ordered a blender from amazon. I can't wait to try this recipe.

Ms Vickie--- OMG your recipe and the way you prepare this dish is the most easiest way to follow. Thank you for describing every step. I love your attitude towards the fresh use of spices and all your explanations. You make me want to run down to the store and get all the ingredients to start making Pozole .

Boy I really don't comment on videos very often but yours are some of the most detailed that I have ever watched. Not to mention sticking your screen into the pot is pure genius, I would have never thought of it
