Caldo, you are speaking my language! One of the my most favorite meals is caldo de res. My mama loved caldo and even on the hottest day of summer, she would make a large pot of it and we truly enjoyed it. Something so comforting in the a good bowl of soup and your recipe is so very like mine. I love the fact that you also add chayote to the caldo as it really has no taste to me but adds something wonderful to the mix. And by the way, your lentil sopa was a huge hit and will now become the recipe I'll use when making lentils. I tell you my sweet amiga, you're adding to my recipe collection in the best way possible and from the bottom of my heart I thank you. Thank you my dear friend, you always make my day, my mom also made this often, she made it year round, big pots!! The pot I'm using in the video is one of the ones she used, she gave it to me in 1982, she lost the lid, so replaced it with another, you know, my favorite part of the soup is the sweet potato! I love sweet and savory, I hope you try it. I'm so glad to hear that you like my lentil video, it's so full of nutrients and delicious alone or with meat, my Ron loves it. I was just talking to my daughter about hot soup in the summer time, and how most think it’s just for cold weather, but we eat other hot food during the summer, so why not soup? Also there are cold soups, but I really like hot soups better.

I made the caldo on a cold night and it was so delicious 😋 . I've always made caldo but adding the sweet potatoe and greenbeans was so good I had never made it with Chuck roast and it was a big hit cause grandson loves making tacos in corn tortillas with Chile. They loved it . Thank you so much !!! And the next day was so delicious 😋.

Love caldo de res, de pollo, any meat. My Mom would make it with ground beef! Such a good flavor! I have never used sweet potatoes, but I will next time. My boys like sweet potatoes! Loved this recipe, just mafe some today for my father. My Mom used to put membrillo (quince) it gives the caldo a nice sweet flavor . I will have to try with sweet potatoes.

It looks really good. You did use a few ingredients that I don’t use like the Chote sweet potato green beans but next time I cook it I’m definitely going to use it. It looks awesome.
I guess we all make mistakes when we are learning to cook. I remember my first and worst mistake, my Mom had given me her small (about the size of a toaster) deep fryer, so I was going to fry a chicken for dinner, I turned the fryer up as high as it would go, put the chicken in and low and behold it was the most beautiful golden fried chicken in record time, around 15 minutes!!! Well the first bite revealed the truth and that was that fried chicken takes a bit more time than 15 minutes! My hubby and I just laughed, turned the temp down and cooked it until it was actually done.
I am having a major surgery on nov 5th and I am gonna make this recipe and your chicken soup recipe ahead of time for my hubby and I. Perfect food after surgery

It is 40 degrees today and I am making Valdosta I browned the soup bones like u and it made a big difference and also I never put a sweet potato before and wow it was great. Love your videos👍👍👍
