► What you need to pay attention to when choosing lipos for a race whoop:
(for FULL SEND RACING)
● Dimensions → The lipo should fit your lipo holder. Very long lipos tend to be damaged in a crash
● C-Rate → I prefer the highest c-rate I can find
● Internal resistance → lowest possible (highest c-rate)
● Weight → I prefer lowest weight possible (best power to weight ratio)
● Plug → I prefer Betafpv BT2.0 or GNB A30 (same plug, compatible)
● Availability in your home country → I don`t care, I need the best possible lipo for my racing
● Circle of friends → Maybe you want the same lipos as your pilot friends? So that in an "emergency" you can fly with the other person's lipos
► My favorite lipos for a race whoop:
(for FULL SEND RACING)
● Dogcom 1S 550mah 150C BT2.0
● GNB 1S HV 550mah 100C A30 (I don`t buy them anymore because they are a little bit long)
● GNB 1S HV 530mah 90C A30 (450mah lipo size and weight)
● GNB 1S HV 380mah 90C A30
● Tattu 1S HV 450mah 95C (I don`t buy them anymore because of the PH2.0 plug)
● Tattu 1S HV 500mah 95C ( (I don`t buy them anymore because of the PH2.0 plug)
● Tattu 1S HV 300mah 75C BT2.0 (foldet cell)
● Tattu 1S HV 270mah 75C BT2.0 (foldet cell)
● Tattu 1S HV 220mah 45C with selfmade BT2.0 plug
● Betafpv Lava 1S HV 550mah 75C BT2.0 (foldet cell)
● Betafpv Lava 1S HV 450mah 75C BT2.0 (foldet cell)
⚠️‼️⚠️ My recommendations for maximum power (75mm whoop): Dogcom 1S 550mah 150C, GNB 1S HV 380mah 90C, GNB 1S HV 530mah 90C
For good balance between flight time and power: Betafpv Lava 1S HV 450mah 75C
For maximum flight time: Betafpv Lava 1S HV 550mah 75C
⚠️‼️⚠️ Never ever fly a Lipo below 3V under load! This severely limits the lifespan and causes the lipos to swell. Disarm immediately when the voltage is around 3.0/3.1V! Don't try to land and flare out to land. Because that often brings the voltage just below 3V. After the flight the voltage should recover to at least 3.3V. Ideal for a long lipo life is 3.4V-3.6V recovery voltage.
⚠️‼️⚠️Lipos tend to get damage to the front area (for me). That's why I often use a "lipo condom". That means I make a protector out of shrink tubing, foam and tape or 3D printing to protect the front end of the lipo.
⚠️‼️⚠️ I preheat my lipos to 40 degrees celcius for better perfomance (lower internal resistance) in my lipo preheater (you can find it on my channel). Only do this if you know what you are doing! It is dangerous!
⚠️‼️⚠️ Sometimes the usable (!) flight time for racing operations can be almost the same with smaller lipos. With my 380mah lipos I fly almost as long as with 450mah in full send racing mode. But with significantly better handling on narrower racetracks
⚠️‼️⚠️ I charge my lipos at around 2C charge rate (those that allow it in the manufacturer's information). As long as the lipos don't get warm when charging, it doesn't shorten their lifespan significantly in my experience. However, I wouldn't go above 3C.

I like that some choices are based on your particular needs, and others are more on ability of cell.
Not all cells are available for all connectors, which makes a huge difference in choice.
Exactly! And for many, availability in their home country also plays a role. (I'll add this to the video description) That's why it's difficult to give concrete instructions. And whether someone is flying freestyle or racing also makes a difference. That's why I've simply shared my experiences here and what you should pay attention to when buying lipos. I hope this helps some..

Good vid! In my opinion Tattu 300mah BT2.0 are the Top of the line, lower weight with amazing performance. On my 17,6G Race build, on Biblades can even get 4 minutes of racing. First minute of flight they even stay above 4V witch is mind blowing, because in general tiny 1S Lipos had always weaker kind of electrolyte or quality in them. (used a lot of GNB, happymodel, betafpv regular ones)

Дякую за відео. Вчився літати на mobitle 6 замінивши польотний контролер на Х12. Я помітив що рідний diamond f4 чомусь вживає більше ампер і час спокійного польоту на вулиці з lava 300 виходить 210 секунд. Тоді як на Х12 можна літати майже на хвилину довше. Не зважаючи на те що вага з х12 на 1 г більше і дорівнює 19.8 грамів. Хочеться чогось нового тому вчора замовив 0802 rcinpower 25kv. Буду використовувати 75 air від betafpv і lava 550
Yes, unfortunately many happymodel diamond boards have an error. That also happened to me before. I'm not sure if the 75air frame can handle the weight of 550mah lipos in a crash..

Great video! I fly GNB 530s on my 75s as well and I like them, but they are now old and I didnt properly store them. So I need new ones and I was thinking about folded cells lava 450 or tiny whoop or webleed. But after seeing your video I am in a dilemna. You're saying I'd better order 530s again? How come folded cells are not better?
Thank you my whoop friend! They are not directly better or worse. Just different. Hard to explain. And I think for me it also has something to do with the fact that I sometimes preheat my Lipos to 40 degrees Celsius. I just flew outdoors yesterday without preheating the lipos and the Lava Lipos were the best in the windy conditions. They gave me the most security in the wind. Lava 450mah for a good power to weight ratio and Lava 550mah for flighttime.. So you can order some weebleeds🙂

A little while back GNB must have messed up the calibration on their capacity checker. All of the recent cells are 80mah higher than reality. 300=>380, 450=>530 etc 😂

Have you tried 320mah dogecom foldedcell lipos?
No! I haven't gotten around to it yet... But they could be the same cells as from Tattu.. (from grepow)
