I like the tips, I'd add one more - Don't be afraid of the racetrack. You can use your freestyle drones in fpv races and it'll get you a lot more acquainted with your craft, and don't worry about where you place, use it to hone in your smoothness and momentum management.
Good one. I think racing definitely helps lock in your skills with handling the drone 👍
When freestyle reaches a certain level, it is indeed necessary to pay more attention to guiding and progressing in thinking .Having the experience of an excellent pilot like you to determine the correctness and effectiveness of my methods is very helpful, good job.
Thanks so much and happy you enjoyed 🙏
Ripping quad,Nice flying bro !😃
Thanks bro! 👊
Man, im so glad you exist! Very usefull tips , thanks a lot.
Very kind indeed! Thanks for watching! 🙏
Love the video bro! Awesome tips🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thanks bro!!! Appreciate it 👊
Excellent tips!! Really enjoyed this
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed 🙏
Totally agree about the sim!
I fly fpv since 2019 and this year because of the weather i did a lot of sim and i feel the benefits!!!
Yeah dude, it really helps in my opinion! And also great in bad weather! 😅
Grate tips mate 👍🏻 will definitely put some of these into practice 😄👌🏻
Awesome! Glad to hear it 👍
yes mate, awesome advice ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Cheers matey!! 🙏
excellent and inspiring video 🙏👍
Thank you very much!! 🙏😅
What a great, positive video, thank you 👍 You have a new sub!
Thank you so very much, appreciated!!! 🙏🙏
🙌🙌🙌yes Sr nice tips
Thanks bro 🙏🙏🙌
good tips! sim is really a big one. constantly just sending it in sim not having to go fetch that quad is pretty nice. doesnt fly as real as i would like but well. also comparing to others, is at least to me a good indicator of where i currently am and where i want to be. constantly seeing other pilots being faster and doing sicker tricks than me so i always have that carrot in front of me :D
Yeah agree man, sim will never be exactly the same but it helps a lot for sure. But also you make a great point - comparing yourself to others can also be a huge motivator. It has helped me push harder in the past trying to compete with fellow pilots (whether they knew it or not 😂). Your crew that you fly with is constantly improving too so you have a lot of crazy guys to compare yourself with every week 😅
Great video Great tips thanks!
Thanks for watching!!
This is all really good advice and I personally needed to hear number 5.
Glad you enjoyed bro!! Thanks for watching 🙏🤠
Some really good advice, as a new pilot I discovered some of these on my own already. You're never too good to mix in some sim practice.
Not flying in a straight line is just like a bob and weave in boxing. Skating in graceful curve patterns keeps you more in tune with what the quad is doing and helps you stay relaxed and ready to move.
That is very true indeed! Some great points you make 👌
I learned a few things today, thanks PAtrick!
Happy to help! Thanks for watching 🙏🙏
great video mate some very good tips in this video.
Thanks a lot broski!! 🙏
oldguyFPV; You just taught an old dog some new tricks! Thanks! Fly safe, fly free!
Haha, glad you enjoyed. Thanks for stopping by!! 🙏
Great advices 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Thanks brother! 🙏
Just keep flowing, just keep flowing, just keep flowing 🐠🐠🐠
🐠🤘😂🤘🐠
One tip if you are building a quad, dry fit everything a sh*t ton of times before committing with soldering. Make sure you know where every component will fit together to make your quad look tighty and clean af.
Yes great tip 👍
Thank you.
Welcome bro 👊
Bonus tip: watch over and over footage of your beloved freestyle fpv pilot. Mine would be for ages Le Drib. Thanks for video. Cheers mate
Haha true! I’m guilty of watching JohnnyFPV’s old freestyle videos waayyyy too many times 😂
@fpvwithpatrick True, his videos are timeless. I could watch for hours. Also, there is a Playlist on Spotify called Johny Fpv and this really helps getting into flow during flight 😁
@@jchris_fpv oh really? I’ll have to check that one out 👍
Thank you 🔥🔥🔥🔥😍
Welcome! Thanks for watching 🙏
great video 🔥
Thanks a lot!!
nice info om... jadi percaya diri saya dengan gaya terbang saya...
Thanks 🙏
Great advice and edits... Why did you not do videos like this? We want to learn from the best! Keep'em coming
Thanks for the kind words! Yeah not sure why I haven't made videos like this before. Will definitely make more, I think people appreciate it more than just watching flying videos.
It's a very interesting video to see your personal opinion. Now I understand why I'm stuck in my freestyle evolution. #1 I can't stand simulators, #2 I have 4 different freestyle quads, #3 I love doing full throttle straights at ground level and #4 I'm still looking for my misses. I'm going to follow your advice and see if I can unblock myself a little more. thanks to you
Happy to help bro! Glad you enjoyed. Send it!! 🚀
😊thank you
Welcome! 👊
Great video mate, maybe you could do a a video on editing a freestyle clip?
Good idea! I'll consider that idea for next time. Thanks for the suggestion 🙏
Great tips Patrick :) i tell beginners the same stuff. And i think uptilt is importend too :)
Thanks bro! Yes very true. I think there are a few other points I could have added for sure, uptilt is definitely important.
The cat got me off guard 🤣
😂😂
Hello Patrick, thank you for the great video. I started flying last year in August and it was always crazy to me how people in our group with 3-4+ years of experience were flying. Hitting gaps after gaps, but also crashing! So yes, naturally I was comparing myself to them, but I have to say that it was always encouraging for me in many ways. You see them diving some gap casually, and you're struggling hitting it for the very first time. I compared myself to them, because I also wanted to dive that gap. Sometimes a really good pilot would crash in that gap too, and nobody bats an eye. You always see the crazy clips on instagram, youtube and tiktok. But you rarely see the 20 crashes before the attempt that actually worked. My personal takeaway from comparing myself to others is, that they are also just pilots, they also do stupid shit, they also crash. So I don't think it is too bad to compare yourself to others, as long as you stay cautious about where you are, and where they are skillwise.
Yes great points bro. I think the main point is to not get discouraged if you see others improving at faster rates than you and hitting gaps that you have trouble hitting, just like you say. But also yes it is good to compare yourself to others when they are also failing. That can be a motivator 😂
7:24 holy moly 😮
Close one 😅
Nice tips Patrick! I really wanna try every style then often change the rates,, this is my problem I think🤦🏻♂️ feel like don't have character on my own, thank you ma bro you gimme motivation ❤️🔥
Yeah I think that's really difficult when you like to fly all different styles. In that case, it's difficult what to suggest. Maybe just pick some rates in the middle 😛
@@fpvwithpatrick naahh like what you mean, actually I'm on 800ish rn lol,, i will keep on there
@@SmudgeFPV Sounds like the perfect value 👌
Great video! Quick question, where do you get those nd filters for that 3d print? I like that idea/setup, seems more affordable and more durable!
I use the glass TBS ND filters. They are great. Most FPV stores these days stock them, although might need to shop around a bit. Perfect to slot into a 3D printed mount 👍
Just feel the flow and feel the wind. Everything after that is a bonus!
True!
Hey Patrick, great vid! Can an FPV simluator by configured so it matches the responsiveness of your real life FPV drone?
Hello Sir! So nice of you to stop by 😃 yes it can indeed. It will never be 100% the same but it can be configured to be pretty close 👌
I'm chaos 😂😂😂😂😂
Hahaha, I salute any pilot that is able to handle such high rates 😅
Hi Patrick. I agree to both of you on "Item 1". I can see why MrSteele would say that. I could have said it too. When I was starting FPV 5 years ago, the only software I know was LiftOff. The physics is totally different from a real drone. It affected me so much. Maybe that's what MrSteele was trying to say. However, with newer sims like Uncrashed or FPV Logic, I heard their physics are really good. I haven't bought them yet but I will soon.
Yes for sure, sims have definitely gotten a lot better. It was actually Le Drib that said it as far as I remember. But yeah definitely recommend checking out Uncrashed or AI Drone Sim which is my personal favourite and has great physics 👍
@@fpvwithpatrick Oh cool! It's my first time hearing AI Drone sim. I'll definitely check it out later. Thanks a lot my friend! 🙂
@@neilfpv Welcome bro 👊
A thing that should be mentioned: dont be afraid to crash and break stuff. Its part of the game if you want to improve. The less fucks I give the better are my clips (also more to fix 😂)
Oh yes 100% true. I think confidence to truly send it really does help...but of course it leads to more breakages. I guess it's part of the hobby!
How do you get the Lift Off sim to have real physics/weight.
The sim always feels extremely floaty but when I watch clips online and in this video, the weight looks spot on
For me I choose the Chameleon 5 inch drone. I’m not sure if I changed any settings but I think I did put more powerful motors on it. Maybe you can change the gravity setting if that’s an option? But now I would say that it is less realistic than some of the newer sims. AI Drone Sim is my personal favourite for best physics
I agree with all of these except I think you need at least 5 Supafly quads
Ahahaha, yes I'll remember to include this tip in the next video 😂
love to get an idea on camera angles. what do you guys use for freestyle juicy vibe?
I personally use 30 degrees although I think an angle such as 25 degrees is a lot more common these days.
@fpvwithpatrick cheers for that. I appreciate the reply. Keep ripping.
suggestion : i guess adding some topic of the stick throttle tension will little bit improve the throttle management & flying experience,,,some are too hard some to softing some are way to loose tension in stick
That’s a good point bro. I think there are many points I could have added. But I will also say that different pilots prefer different levels of stick tension. But yes, finding what works for you can also be a great help for improving throttle control
If your getting jello you need to tune. Machine vibrations close to shutter speed are the cause.
Yes that’s true but if you crash and you’re flying with bent or broken props, your tune might not be able to help
Agree…accept that nd filter thing. But only because I am to stingy for buying so much filters. I think I would kill minimum 2 every session. +- 10 per month in when I go out often. That’s 50-80€ only for nd filters. And when you crash.. footage gone. But yes its right. That’s how to get rid of fine jitters. But I don’t care in freestyle because i like to see the real conditions. DVR is reality😊
Ok i care sometimes. If it’s a very nice spot which has to be shown for example. Then its nice to see a juicy crisp clip.
@@samseazyfpv yeah totally get that bro. I think a lot of people are now shooting with just the O3 camera footage as well. It is a good way to save money. For me using an ND filter actually adds a layer of protection to my Action 2 and I would rather smash an ND than the camera lens. But true, it’s is a hassle and an expense to keep buying ND filters 🥵
@ 7:24 you narrowly missed an electrical pole :)
I know right 🥵 that was a close one 😅
Bro I need one of those shirts
Available on fpvfreestylekingz.com 😃
you can still be juicy with sub 700º rates even look at Julz FPV and he only has around 500º rates
Oh does he? Love his style 👌
Hello
Hello there Sir 🫡
sim is only good for muscle memory and to find out some new tricks, for the rest its useless to me , and i also use auto shutter and without nd filter and dont have that shaky image lol
I think the simulator physics are getting better nowadays and it is becoming closer to real life. I find it also helps with confidence. It has definitely helped me over the years. As for auto shutter without an ND, it doesn’t mean you will get shaky footage, but if you try using an ND and lock your shutter you should see a difference in your footage. Give it a try some time, you never know you might like it 😅
less rules for freestyle please sir 😎
Of course! Everyone is free to do as they please - it's in the name 'free' style. Just giving a few tips on how to get better looking footage based on personal things I have learned over the years. Hopefully you watched and enjoyed regardless and thanks for stopping by 🙏
taking notes

Great! hi master! how much of your Dshot?
Hello 👋 I think I use dshot600 🤔
