    I live on a huge construction site doing security at night. I kick people out of the construction site on a weekly basis. Sometimes you get people looking to steal stuff, sometimes you get people just looking around through the building because they're curious. However, I've never chased any of them down with a gun and killed them. That kind of mentality is insane

      @Krafanio 3 года назад +9

      @Patrick I mean if someone enters your place with a gun. You will one too.
      I know this is not the case. But neither extreme is right about the topic of guns.

      @Patrick Firearms have their place in a civilized society outside of hunting. Obviously these men weren't justified in their actions, but they're an extreme outlier.

      From the reaction of their verdict. They still don't believe they are guilty and feel justified. They are the type of people who believe they can do no wrong, and anything wrong is everyone's fault. Bryan, who I know little about, was the only who showed normal human emotion even before verdict. Not saying he isn't guilty, but I feel like he was partially manipulated by perceived authority of ex cop and ex military. He deserves time for false imprisonment and endangerment of bodily harm with his truck. But I feel bad that he was manipulated by these 2 horrible people. I feel the worst for Aubrey and his family, friends and others in his circle of influence. And I feel for the people suffering in Georgia. But go Georgians for standing up and fighting for rights, justice, and equality. These last two years I have been impressed and proud of what they, Georgians, have demonstrated and accomplished! I think they would have pulled that same thing on a white guy. Most home owners really don't like anyone not from the neighborhood in their neighborhood, black or white, especially someone who had returned and kept nosing around, very suspicious behavior. If he had jogged on through, that's one thing but he didn't have steady employment and was probably looking for something he could steal that he could sell to a pawn shop, tools etc. With that being said, I find it wrong of them to chase him down for questioning when he doesn't have anything in his hands like he stole something. But I promise you, most homeowners don't like unemployed people of any race nosing around their neighborhood. @@TooSweet28 p.s. the old guys should not have chased him is how the law sees this one. Had the guy attacked them while he was at his house I guess it would be a different story but either way the guy runs towards the man holding a shotgun and attacks him in a effort to get his gun away from him and got shot for it. He could have easily stoped. Why didn't he call police if he was being chased legitimately? Anyone can legally now attack someone for simply holding a gun now? Seems that way.

      Yeah, in their own neighborhood, the shooting happened 50 feet from their own house. They had a gun because they didn't know if Arbery was armed. And yes, you can ask someone who has been prowling around your neighborhood and going into houses that are not his questions. Arbery didn't just decide to not answer the questions, and he didn't just decide to run away, he decided to run DIRECTLY AT TRAVIS MCMICHAEL and try to take his weapon. It was a belligerent and reckless decision that cost Arbery his life.
      If we ran a simulation of the situation, 1000 times, there are 0 times where I would run at the McMichaels and try to take their weapon. Yet Arbery did, because he was aggressive and foolish.

It's impossible, but I would love it if we could live 2 separate timelines. 1 where only whites were in America and 2nd where only blacks were in America. 50 years from now we could see the results and how each country faired during the half century.
